5 out of 5 eggsLove it.

Pros: I bought this for an elderly customer of mine. Once I set it up, she loved it.

Cons: None that would cause concern. The monitor stand only tilts.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Cheap 24 inch LED monitors. You get a create value here.

Cons: I bought two and the stands are slightly different heights... this will drive me nuts but can be fixed.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor, No Height Adjust

Pros: I needed a second monitor next to the Dell U2412 That I own and love. I bought this one as it looked similar and thought it would line up well visually. The price cant be beat.

The monitor works well and looks fine for a TN panel. Colors looked very nice and the viewing angle wasnt bad (again, for a TN panel). I would recommend for the price for anyone looking for a good TN monitor, as I was.

Cons: No height adjustment. It sits very low.

My primary monitor is extended up to help with neck strain. I wanted a second right next to it. This new monitor one can only *tilt* up/down - but can not slide up and down for height. It sits too far below my other monitor. It looked really silly. I tried to deal with it, but couldnt. So I just had to pony up, RMA this one and buy another U2412 (a highly recommended IPS monitor) to be consistent with the one I already have.

Other Thoughts: Still recommended. Fine if you are looking for a decent TN panel. Good colors, looks nice, no problems. Dell monitors are excellent. Lack of height adjustment may be an issue. It sits very low.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: I bought two of these on sale, monitor is very well built, slim design with a strong sturdy base. Picture was beautiful out of the box with no adjustments. Very pleased with my purchase.

Cons: Only thing that would make this perfect for me would be an HDMI port, but not a deal breaker since it does have both DVI and D Sub

5 out of 5 eggsBrilliant Display.

Pros: This monitor is just what I wanted. It replaced a single 27" HP xi IPS display. That was a nice monitor too but the glare drove me nuts. The IPS displays have much better viewing angles but I've noticed they don't do black very well and the HP I had seemed to have a bluish cast to it. It's personal preference but I like these much better. They seem to look more natural and less strain on my eyes.

What I Like:

-Matte finish frame / stand etc. -- I hate TV's / Monitors with glossy black plastic everywhere. They look cheap and collect dust and scratch very easily.

-Matte / No-Glare screen. -- This is typical of most TN displays but I prefer this over the high gloss displays.

-Great Presets / Natural picture. -- It just looks good. Colors are vibrant but not overexposed or saturated. I was worried about this being a TN display after a quick calibration the picture looks crisp, clean and natural. I will like these for photo editing better than my HP IPS monitor.

Super Easy Setup -- No drivers, no screw drivers. I had both of mine out of the box and up and running in several minutes.

Wide Viewing Angles. -- They really are good. TN technology has improved quite a bit and these are clear from most angles. They're not an IPS monitor but I have one straight on and the other to the side at a considerable angle and I have no issues with washout.

Fast Refresh -- I do notice that with games and movies there is less "delay" or ghosting vs my IPS monitor. If you're buying for gaming these will be great.

Built-In Power Supply -- I was really happy to find out that these monitors don't have a power brick like my HP did. I love that I have one 3-prong cable. It's one less black brick that sits on the floor.

Cost -- C'mon a 24" monitor for $149? Even at $199 I think these are a solid buy. They're very simple. Theres not really a whole lot to them. They're really light but I feel that they have a solid design and are built to last.

White LED Power Button -- I like it. I'm glad they didn't cheap out and but a green LED or one of those obnoxious bright blue ones.

Selectable Inputs -- I have an extended desktop setup for my PC and I use Synergy with my MacBook the rest of the time. I like that I can flip between them easily. I feel like not all monitors have this option.

Cons: What I don't like (there isn't much)

Flashing Lights -- As mentioned by another user when the monitors go to standby / sleep the white power LED on the front blinks and this cannot be disabled. My computer does the same thing too so I have three white LEDs flashing randomly across my desk. It's kinda funny actually.

No HDMI -- Really not a big deal at all but I think that if Dell is asking $199 for this monitor it should have an HDMI port.

Cheap Buttons -- Again not a deal breaker but I would prefer the touch sensitive dimpled buttons like on my HP as these ones are kinda flimsy. But hey they work. Gotta keep cost down somewhere.

Switching Inputs -- I love that I have the option, but it's too many steps, Menu >> Settings >> Down >> Input Source >> Enter >> Down >> Select >> Close. I wish there was one button to do it faster.

Other Thoughts: I'm really very happy with this purchase. It's not an IPS, if you need ultra-wide viewing angles these aren't what you want. If you want a crisp, display with great black levels and minimal eye strain these are a solid purchase.

Both of my monitors did come with both VGA / DVI Cables I don't know if people just didn't see them or what but mine definitely did come with them.

Another user said that you notice the pixels and can see the black lines between them. I have good eyes and I'm picky about this too. My 27" HP was very noticeable and that's why I didn't like it. These don't have that issue at all. Unless maybe you're 6" from the screen..

Just buy it. You know you want it. You won't regret it.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad for price

Pros: Overall, you can't beat 24" monitor that can be had for under 100. Color fidelity is good and response time is sufficient.

Cons: One of the two monitors I purchased has been in and out at best (only powers on every 2-3 attempts). Strange. Can't seem to find anything about it online. The one that works does well, just nervous it may end up doing the same.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: i didnt buy this here but i bought it for an extremely low price.
24" screen is a nice upgrade from a 19" one.
1920x1080 is also a nice upgrade from 1440x900.
for such a large area(21"x12" area), i have yet to see a dead pixel.

Cons: one of the buttons is a little hard to press.
if you tap the side of the monitor, you can see it wiggle so it isnt that sturdy.
the only thing that annoys me is that when it goes to "stand-by" mode, the light to the power button just continuously flashes and never turns off and there is no option to turn that off
....there is an option to turn off the light when you ARE using the monitor just not an option to turn off the light when you AREN'T using the monitor.

Other Thoughts: as you can tell, i hate blinking lights. im not about to go and open up the monitor just to hide the light and i think its stupid to put electric tape on brand new items but that's what I'll probably end up doing.
only knocked it one egg because the button thing was upsetting and the blinking light is annoying, i dont care about flimsy stands but other people do so i had to add that.
also, its not an IPS monitor so you will find the typical color distortion that you see in all regular non-IPS screens.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent for the money

Pros: The screen is very bright, especially next to my old monitor right next to it. The picture quality is nice. Easy to set up. No dead pixels out of the box.

Cons: Only comes with a VGA cable. Not sure why you would send that instead of DVI-D.

Other Thoughts: All the buttons are on the front, which I like. There is no height adjustment, which I don't care about. For the price it's a pretty decent monitor.
