5 out of 5 eggsGreat Coding Monitor! Better choice than a 4K or 2x24" setup

Pros: * Great Screen real estate for tiling windows. I tile 3 vertically across (Browser, Editor, Terminal)
* Great panel. The curve may not be necessary, but it isn't severe enough to distract.
* Adjusts up/down about 4.5"; Swivels about 30-degrees left/right, about 20-degrees back.
* 33% more pixels vertically and 79% more horizontally, and 139% more pixels overall compared to a standard HDTV (1024x1920) monitor
* Doesn't require "Retina Screen" software changes.
* No bezel in the middle as in a 2-monitor setup. One monitor is all I need

Cons: * While it works with my 2012 Mac Mini (Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB graphics, the mini doesn't always initialize it properly on boot. I need to switch the resolution, then switch it back, and it is fine afterwards. Still, I was surprised the basic graphics would drive this many pixels. It won't drive a 4K monitor.
* Most full-screen apps or viewing modes don't take advantage of the width of the panel. Note I chose to connect via a HDMI (mini) to DisplayPort (monitor) cable, maybe because it was better than the HDMI connection.

Other Thoughts: I found the height of the panel about on par with a 24". The stand raises and lowers about 4-5" which is great depending on your desk and chair heights--other monitors skip this feature.

The width (32.47") of the monitor is less overall than double 24" monitors (2 x ~22"), but you don't have the double bezel in the middle (right were I look straight ahead to work), and only has a single stand and set of cables on your desk. The width is similar to 2x19" widescreen monitors, but would be taller like a 24" monitor.

Visually, it is "lighter", with less "noise" than the "clunky" double 24" setup. It looks more like a single monitor, until you look closer and notice its width. The curve is subtle, and the look is still elegant.

While you lose a little horizontal work area over the double 24" setup, I found everything fits in my natural angle of viewing, and I can now work without turning my head as much to see everything.

Because it is a single panel, I can tile either 2 or 3 equal vertical windows and work well, and they are all in view without turning my head. Tiling 4 across 2x24" monitors resulted in skinnier views than I wanted, and I could only visually notice 3 at a time anyway.xi

I am a software developer and enjoy having my editor in the middle, terminal on one side, and browser on the other. I recommend this monitor for developers.

5 out of 5 eggsCould not admire this monitor more!

Pros: SO accurate. This beats every LCD screen I've owned. My old and expensive SGi CRT wasn't even this good in its day.
0 issues. No dead or stuck pixels. No light bleed. No dings, scratches, imperfections of any kind.
It's a wonderful size for a single monitor setup. Having no gaps between screens is also enjoyable.
Perfect for timeline based workflows. Wish I had this back when I was exclusively a videographer.
The curve is the perfect amount. You usually don't notice it at all but watching high-resolution videos or gaming the curve is very nice. Just slightly more immersive than without it. When working on a project(especially an application with a timeline the curve helps keep your eyes from excessive seeking. It's a great and well thought out size.

Cons: The arrange options are not quite as seamless as they could be. Windows 10 more or less does a better job than the Dell software. This isn't really a con. Windows 10 nails it.
Wacom/Graphics tablet users may have some issues. I setup a screen lock to the left side of the screen in the Wacom settings for the resolution of 1920x1440 and configured a Photoshop workspace similarly. Working great now!

Other Thoughts: I was hesitant to make this purchase because I had my eye on a color calibrated 32" 4k screen and thought I would miss the vertical real estate(which I do, but rarely).

I moved and needed to switch my home office to a smaller space where my 3 vertical displays running a res of 3600x1920(3x24") took up too much space. At my warehouse, I used a 29" LG 2560x1080 display and didn't enjoy it. This extra resolution and size make this a perfect fit for a single monitor desk.

I've had no issues using this with my Quadro K2200 and outdated workstation setup(i7-2600, 16gbram, 2x 4-SSD-RAID0)
I'm an automotive photographer and I think the color representation on this monitor on the "standard" settings are pretty incredible. DataColor Color Spyder 5 suggested no changes! I actually went back and tweaked some of my more popular works after getting this because the color depth is very accurate. 30-bit color is incredible! I even notice an improvement in my images when I showcase them on an LG 4kTV(upgraded 65LA9650)

I can't wait for someone to create a 5160x2160 display for my next upgrade!

5 out of 5 eggsLove this monitor as my central hub of focus

Pros: Large wide screen.
Unobtrusive on my Versa Table desk.<BR> A friend commented that it was a maximum view with a minimal presentation. <BR>Bright clean and sharp display<BR>Built in USB KVM for two hosts.<BR>
mhl and HDMI. A Microsoft Miracast dongle works in the mhl port, but you still have to connect the USB for power.

Cons: Wish it had support for two more upstream USB hosts for 4 host KVM functionality.
Every now and then one of the Laptops will cause the monitor to go dark for 2 seconds and re-sync.
I had this issue with my other Dell 30" monitor and traced it to the quality of cable.
Once I went to a high quality cable that issue went away.
When this happens on the 34" curved monitor I usually reconnect back to the host via the USB KVM and it stops happening.
I think there is some kind of USB interaction as well.
At first the curve sort of distracted me, then I got used to it.
For movies, games and coding I think it works well.
I'm not sure how good this monitor would be for a professional graphic artist. When I first started to use it I noticed a variance in how images were presented. Therefore I'm not sure this would be a complete replacement for graphic work.
No DVI or VGA ports.<BR>Needs more programmable soft touch buttons to allow switching ports or modes. Diving into the menu can be tedious.

Other Thoughts: I could duplicate what everyone else is boasting about with this monitor, instead I'll highlight my usage case.
I have two laptops, one for work, one for home and a couple of Dell SFF machines hooked up to the HDMI ports.
I use this monitor with two laptops flanking the sides, Coolermaster Cherry MX backlit keyboard and Coolermaster Recon Mouse, Microsoft HDMI Wireless Display.
With the USB KVM functionality it allows one of the the laptops to be in focus and switch to the other one.
I had difficulty with my iogear display port switch and one of the laptops causing me to use the USB KVM functionality in the monitor itself. It works well.
My eyes are not the greatest and the laptops are not the most modern, so I use it in 2560x1080 mode. I'm very happy with it.
The only other feature I could use would be more additional upstream USB ports for the SFF machines and hot keys to switch to them.
For those I have to use a bluetooth keyboard that can switch devices and an extra bluetooth mouse in a pull out keyboard draw.
The monitor's height is adjustable enough to allow an additional set of small monitors angled under it.
I've had my dell venue pro 11 in the dock under the monitor as a scratch pad. I had my Lenovo 14" usb monitor under it.
I've switched to the Gechic 1303i and it just fits enough. With the Gechic's VGA,HDMI/Displayport switch, I can switch it to either of the laptops depending on where I need it.
This gives me a 4 monitor setup with laptops flanking and a scratch pad touch screen monitor.
Eventually I plan to replace the Venue Pro 11/Gechic with a Surface pro 4.
With the Dell 30" monitor it was just too large and would not go high enough to allow the under screen monitors.
I could not totally retire my Dell 30" monitor since this one does not have DVI or VGA ports.<BR>
EDIT - 2/1/206 - The Surface Pro 4 fits well under the monitor at an angle when the monitor is raised all the way. The Gechich 1303i did as well, but it's much larger and almost hindered view of the Windows task bar.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat quality

Pros: The size, picture quality, and curve all excellent. Nice touch controls. Multiple inputs, including a full size DisplayPort and mini-DisplayPort, and USB connections.

Cons: Essentially none. On black screens (which are rare), there is faint light bleed in the corners. This is only noticeable when looking at the corners (which is not typical) and only on black screens, which are rare.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Awesome!

Pros: Heavy duty construction, awesome clarity, multiple interface options, multiple cables included, superb packaging, this is a wow in every way.

Cons: only minor complaint I can possible squeeze out is to difficultly in connection anything to the built in usb 3 hub connection.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these for myself & my wife as combined christmas & birthday gifts, we are both happy camps now.
LOVE Them! Sale price rocked too.

5 out of 5 eggsSharp!

Pros: It's huge! ;)
I almost need a bigger desk as I have a second 23' monitor next to it.
Colors are nice.
I don't watch movies on it so I have not noticed any bleeding.
Going to buy another one once I save up some money.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Good quality video, love the ability to have two spreadsheets or browsers at once
Highly recommend you download the drivers that come with a monitor because they include an easy ability to select the proper SPLIT of the screen that you want.

I am not sure if this is a positive or not but the curve is barely noticeable.

Cons: Monitor can use an additional HDMI and a remote or at least an IR sensor.

Other Thoughts: Love the monitor, once you go wide you can't go back.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply put, excellent monitor for gaming and all else

Pros: Very vibrant, great size, very immersive in games, zero dead pixels after many months of use.

Cons: None thus far!! Except maybe the fact that some games are not ultra widescreen compatible (without hacking the game).

Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend this monitor to others.
