For non-LED backlight it runs cool ...case gets warm but not hot (unlike my DELL monitor which you need to let cool down to move). Good monitor for the money. Cons: after about 9 months I've got 1 bad pixel near the center of the screen, so far lightly pressing on the screen makes the connection and the "spot" goes away. you don't notice the spot unless its in the middle of a black area. Other Thoughts: 6 months of ownership as of Jan 7, 2012 and a recent motherboard upgrade with HDMI output option makes me want HDMI. Cons: Came with a 1 Year Manufacturer's warranty and purchased a 1 year extended warranty as well. After 2 years and 6 months the monitor died. Won't stay lit for more then 15 seconds. After doing some reading online come to find this is a very common problem. 2 words: Planned Obsolescence. Very cheaply made! I was told the logic board required replacing by their cust. service rep. and that it would cost more to repair it then it would to buy one new. Other Thoughts: It is worth spending a little more to get a more reliable brand. I myself will never buy I-Inc Hanspree again. Did you find this review helpful? No real issues with screen itself. Cons: Speakers suck. If you are buying this monitor for the built-in speakers to replace other speakers or headphones that you already use, don't get this monitor.
