5 out of 5 eggsAmazingly Good

Pros: This is an amazing monitor. Rich colors, clear, no dead/partial pixels. If you are thinking of moving up from consumer grade to 'pro' grade this is THE monitor to get. Picture, web pages, etc., look great and even stunning but even games aren't bad...the richness outweighs the slower response as far as pleasure of playing (this is even with FPS).

Cons: Price, but you do really get your money's worth. When I see a "normal" monitor's display now, I cringe to think about what I was staring at all those years.

Other Thoughts: I never used a professional level monitor before and had what I thought were higher end monitors in the past. I was/still am struck by the clarity and richness of the monitor. When researching it was between this and an Asus that was about $400 less but still within "pro" range. Some people mentioned having issues with the Asus being too bright out of the box and I had that issue with both the consumer grade Asus that I had in the past, so did not want to risk it when spending that kind of money. Asus also had a far inferior dead pixel policy (look this up!). I am very glad I made the decision to spend the extra cash.

Yes it's expensive. This is your eyes you are talking about, and the part of the computer you have the most/all interaction with. If you're not sure if you should spend the money or go consumer grade and save the cash, spend the money already!!! What are your eyes worth? Besides, if you never used a high end monitor before you will be shocked how good things you are used to seeing look with this. I had read that pictures almost had a '3D' feel to them and thought it was a ridiculous comment. It wasn't, high quality DSLR pictures really jump out at you. ...I wouldn't have believed the difference if someone told me.
