Pros: My Asus laptop has an amazing IPS full HD screen that amazes everybody who sees it even if they're just passing by. This HP monitor looks just as good, if not better. Being that my laptop is an Asus, that is saying something. I work in design so I needed a big screen that has accurate colors. This more than answered what i was looking for. You will not regret buying this monitor!

Other Thoughts: I will probably buy a second screen. Yes it is THAT good! Don't listen to the doosh here that gave it a one start without even owning the product, he is just trolling. This monitor is solid and much higher quality than even my 24" samsung monitor I have. Much brighter and crisper, too. Both are 1080p and IPS.
Oh, and by the way, this monitor is good for gaming. The human eye cannot notice 14miliseconds as we can only see 24fps. Maybe there might be the teeny tiniest difference between this and a <8ms screen but it would definitely not be worth the price difference.

Pros: These are the proper specs. I called Newegg and they said they would contact the seller. The real specs are actually better than listed.

I almost didn't buy this monitor from this newegg because of the wrong specs listed.

Other Thoughts: I have used this to play FPS games and it works great, I don't see any lag between mouse movement at all. The response time isn't legendary by the numbers, but it isn't bad enough to actually be noticeable in my opinion. Obviously some people think that anything more than 1ms response time isn't acceptable. But personally, I'd rather sacrifice a few hundredths of a second for better looks. After-all, what really determines the winner in a FPS quickdraw is the mouse click speed.

Pros: -The sleek chrome look and thin bezel are very attractive.
-Thin profile, even including monitor stand. Other monitors I looked at had deeper stand footprints.

Cons: -a bit glossier than I might have wanted, but not a deal breaker

Other Thoughts: The price on this monitor seems like a good value, but you have to bear in mind that this is produced by HP, a company known for downgrading its products to below acceptable quality in order to achieve cost savings. I would never trust an HP product, after having owned a few self-destructing overheating laptops whose design resulted from the same cost-cutting philosophy. Please, consumers, support quality, not garbage!

Pros: Nice, crisp, beautiful screen right out of the box. It looks and feels like a premium monitor. It's an absolute steal on sale ($169.99). Still a good deal at regular price.

Cons: None so far. Hoping that the backlight lasts longer than my AOC monitor.
Wish I'd ordered a third one while it was on sale.

Other Thoughts: This monitor build quality looks better than monitors costing a lot more. I would recommend this monitor in a heartbeat. The image out of the box is beautiful. With the first one, I tried playing around with the calibration but I ended up deciding that I liked the default factory settings. Like most monitors that I've have, the OSD menus are not the easiest to work with but, this one is better than many other monitors I've owned. I really liked the capability to adjust the on-time of the OSD menu. Take note that this monitor CANNOT be wall-mounted and the base only allows you to tilt the monitor. There is no height adjustment. That's perfectly fine for my desk setup. I'll have to wait and see how long the LED backlight lasts. I had an AOC 27" that lost the backlight in the lower left hand side after less than a year.

I really wish that I had bought more than two at $169.99. I set a price alert in case it goes on sale again. Honestly, if the price doesn't drop again, I may buy another one anyway.

Pros: Exactly as pictured, picture stretches almost completely to the edge, the bezel and stand are aesthetically pleasing, and the picture is clear and beautiful.

Cons: I have literally nothing bad to say about this.
