The P3 comes stacked with multiple inputs: a full HDMI port, VGA, Composite, as well as USB and Sd/TF card reader. With optional accessories you can easily run your iPhone or iPod through the P3’s VGA – Or simply connect directly into your Android device through the full HDMI port.

The AAXA P3 is a true pico projector and is smaller than two stacked smart-phones at a size of just 4.6" x   2.6"x 1.2". Packed in this small frame is a powerful 65+ minute lithium ion battery along with a full portable media player system, capable of playing videos, pictures, music, and text files through USB memory

  • newegg Highest Resolution for a Pico Projector Through the Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) imager the P3 delivers highest-in-class resolution of 1024x600 (WSVGA) which is 30% more pixels than most other pico projectors.
  • newegg Super Color and Image Quality The Vibrant Color Technology and triple LED light source in the P3 produce a vivid display with amazing color saturation.
  • newegg Full-Function MP4 Player The onboard MP4 player can decode 720P video files, high resolution pictures, MP3 music, and text files. With the built-in speaker the P3 becomes a portable entertainment power-house.
  • newegg Multiple Input / Output Sources Multiple input sources are accepted including a full-sized HDMI port, VGA harness, composite AV, and mini USB thumb-drives. Multiple input sources allow easy connection with a wide array of media sources including smart-phones, tablets, DVD players, and laptops. The 3.5mm headphone jack allows audio output to portable speakers or an external amplifier.
  • newegg Real Quick ON & OFF Long warm-up and cool down times, sometimes for several minutes, are required for projectors using traditional lamps. The LED light source enables the P3 to achieve full brightness within seconds. Of course, it turns off instantly as well.
  • newegg Long LED Life with Eco Friendliness Conventional lamp-based projectors require frequent bulb changes that cost hundreds of dollars. The p3's LED light source lasts 10 times longer than the conventional lamps so bulb changes are a thing of the past. The P3's LED light source consumes less power. The LED is also 100% free of mercury and, as the bulb never needs to be replaced, there are no discarded bulbs.

5 out of 5 eggsAAXA P3 Works Well so far.

Pros: Small size, mountable almost anywhere, clear and bright picture in very low light when plugged into an AC outlet and using the HDMI input. It also has a built-in media server for pictures, audio and video files. There are many adjustment options for viewing different types of media, and it has a built-in amplifier suitable for a quality set of earbuds. I consider the built-in battery a bonus feature for small stints of needed portability. The P3 compares very favorably against many other pico projectors in its category. Just awesome for the price.

Cons: For the money I paid for it, the only thing I can think of is a lack of keystone adjustment (used to correct trapeziodal distortion when the projector is not completely at a 90-degree angle with the vireing surface). Also, the video is centered with the projector, so high or low mounting options may be limited without the ability to correct.

Found that if the HDMI cable is not securely attached to the projector, artifacts and, I think, an odor of something burning will emit from it.

Would not recommend going much bigger than the stated 80-inch specification, as the picture tends to be much less sharp and bright after exceeding it. Not really a con, just appears to be a design fact.

So small, it is possibly easier to misplace if not nailed down.

Other Thoughts: I love projects. And I fell in love with this projector after testing its suitability against my capabilities..

So much so, I bought another one just recently. Upon reading the specifications before I bought the first one, it was clear that the 50 lumens brightness might pose a challenge for viewing even with the curtains and shades drawn in any room. Glad to say that I was very surprised that this little projector performed well even in dim morning light on a small highly reflective screen. It does pitch an 80-inch diagonal viering area somewhat dimmer, and the small fan makes a bit of noise, but not much more than any full size projectors that I have used that cost four times as much.

So I built a ventilated, noise-cancelling cabinet the size of a picture frame, mounted it to the wall, and securely mounted the projector within the cabinet. When not in use, the projector and full-size screen on the opposite wall disappears from sight.

The AAXA P3 is a welcomed addition to my low-wattage HTPC setup. It actually outperformed two other full-sized DLP projectors that were previously used for this duty because of its HDMI port's sharper video. Have experienced no problems watching DVDs and streaming video from my personal media server, Netflix, YouTube and Google Play on either P3 from Windows or Linux. Exceeding the native resolution is not a problem at 1280x768 using a ten-foot interface. The video is crystal clear by my home projector standards.

Six months later, and still going strong!

Pros: Obviously, rechargeable battery powered, small size.

Cons: Can't replace battery, pretty noisy.

Other Thoughts: I used this for about 1 year almost every night to view internet and movies on my bedroom ceiling. Mostly it was for my GF. It worked well enough, and was bright enough with a blackout curtain in the room. I had it moounted on a tripod and situated at the foot of the bed with an upward projection angle of about 60 degrees.
The unit started to die with video artifact as the first sign. Top half of screen vertical white bars appeared to overlay the picture. After a week it became pure noise. Not sure if heat played a role or not. But it's dead, Jim.

2 out of 5 eggsShould have dome more research

Pros: Small, able to operate on battery power

Cons: Low quality, low lumen

Other Thoughts: After reading the previous positive review and noting the size/shape of this projector, I bought it for one of the sales directors at my company to take with him on trips to prospective clients, for impromptu meetings. The quality and brightness of the picture created by this projector are much lower than are necessary to effectively deliver a powerpoint presentation.

I purchased it when I was in a rush and didn't notice that newegg classifies this as a replacement only return item, so I can't even return it for a refund.

Sadly, it was a total waste of money and effort. It may have value for some users (video playback in a darkened room, etc), but ours is going to end up in the recycle heap.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this thing.

Pros: This projector is so awesome. My only requirements for buying a new projector was that is had to be small and have an HDMI input. That seems pretty straight forward, but it narrowed my choices down to less than 5 projectors on the market.

Not only does this have a full size HDMI connection, but it also connect to VGA and composite.

The most fun feature, that I didn't even expect, was the built in media player. Most devices I've owned with "media player" functions had to have a particular (limited) filetype to play at all. This plays almost all of the file types that my Western Digital Media Player can do. It is a little slow on starting larger video files, but works fine once it gets going.

Cons: It would be nice if it played full 1080p, but the 720p resolution is good enough for most uses.

I would like it to be a little brighter, the room needs to be pretty dark for you to get a really good picture, but it's still usable.

Battery life is only 40 minutes, and it seems to discharge the battery within a week if it is not used. Not sure what that is all about. Not sure I would ever have to do a presentation without being plugged into power, but it's still a nice backup.

Media Player is a little slower to start with larger video files.

Other Thoughts: Great addition to my travel presentation kit. An Asus Tablet, this projector and an HDMI cable and I'm ready to make money.
