You've gotten the latest PC video game and you’re looking forward to some serious action. You have all the hot keys programmed in, and your controller is set to respond to your slightest twitch while your stereo headphones are ready to wrap you in the multi-channel digital sound that will transport you into the "zone." There's only one thing missing – your monitor displays images in only 2 dimensions.

The IZ3D 22" monitor is the final piece missing to truly take you into the game. Experience the true power of your favorite games' animation and graphics as they seem to leap from the screen. Simply plug the monitor into the VGA or DVI port on your graphics card and put on the passive polarized 3D glasses and your game will be in your face.

The IZ3D monitor is compatible with many first-person and third-person games such as Half Life, Battlefront, Grand Theft Auto, Unreal Tournament, Call of Duty and World of Warcraft. It is also compatible with many strategy titles and even Guitar Hero. Without the IZ3D monitor, your gaming experience may leave you feeling flat.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 3D is a cool effect for games when it works
Quality and resolution are great
As a monitor it is great

Cons: I mostly regret this purchase because the 3D is much more gimmicky the I had originally thought. A lot of friends can't play because it hurts their eyes although I personally have not had issue. Also a significant number of my of games have issues with this and unless you have a decent set up full resolution will hurt FPS a lot. Initial setup is a pain, but understandably so since every user can have their own setup. It's not a bad monitor, just the 3D wasn't worth the extra $$ put into it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice quality

Pros: For the price everything about the screen is a Pro. I was going to buy a second screen for graphical designing. Found this and was like why not. Depending how how rich 3D you want there will be ghosting. I would say this is more for RPG 3D then FPS. But, Both are fun. Metro 2033 looked BEAUTIFUL. downside my gun was ghosted bad... I'm happy the say the picture is better than my 1:1000 22 inch westington. After some tweaking to contrast ect. I was impressed with the packaging. I'm very happy overall. Especially with its ability to be a normal monitor as well.

Cons: No video controls built in. Nvidia control panel made up for that. The dual hook up is a drag. I just leave other monitor cords at the back of my computer. Don't bother screwing them down. The software might defeat a very untech savvy person.

Other Thoughts: I'm very glad I got this instead of a 1080 high contrast 2D screen.

4 out of 5 eggsInexpensive 3d solution

Pros: Cheap, Some games are quite impressive when the settings are right, everything needed was included in the box or available online. Monitor is slightly bigger than my old 22" widescreen.

Cons: Old technology, and it shows. The more 3d effect you want, the worse the ghosting is. Movies are terrible with the iz3d media player, but what do I expect from a free download.(You can adjust separation in the player, but not convergence) The drivers sent with the monitor were useless for windows 7 AND xp. Had to get the latest version online, and it won't work with dx 11.(yet)

Other Thoughts: Not sure why all the reviews for terrible support from iz3d; everything needed is on their website. Sure, this type of 3d is being fazed out, but new software is available for it, and iz3d seems to be working on better drivers. All in all a decent entry into 3d. Just like all things, you get what you pay for. And with the new driver, all games that support dx 8 up to 10 work on this monitor. Just takes some tweaking.

4 out of 5 eggsCheapest 3D I know of

Pros: Cheap.

Passive polarized 3D; Means no heavy powered glasses and no annoying shutter effect.

Multiple sets of glasses included to fit your personal preference.

Cons: Unusually bright.
Low contrast ratio.
Severely lacking product support.
Some compatibility issues.

Other Thoughts: Rather heavy for a monitor, wasn't expecting that. There's some ghosting issues but it's entirely dependent on your settings and the application your using it with. Otherwise it's a decent 3D monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang For Your Buck

Pros: 22" Screen
$150 Price
3D Gaming
Excellent Documentation
No Headaches or Eye Strain

Cons: Product NOT Supported
Crossfire NOT Supported
Multiple IZ3D Monitors NOT Supported

Other Thoughts: First of all I wanted to say that a fellow co-worker of mine has 3 22" ASUS 3D monitors powered by 2 EVGA NVidia GTX 570 graphics cards. I have compared my monitor side by side two his setup and the 3D capability on this monitor is as good or better. I had him turn off 2 of the 3D monitors to compare and my monitor out performed his. With his active shutter glasses I did notice that I got a headache within 10 minutes of playing Dirt 3. With my monitor I can play any game for hours without a headache or eye strain. Only purchase one of these monitors due to the fact that you can only run one in 3D. You can NOT span in 3D with these monitors like my friend can with his. Overall I actually didn't notice a drop in frame rate at all with the 3D compaired to my 20" no 3D. Guildwars I can still obtain 60+ FPS 100% of the time on maximum settings and Battlefield Bad Company 2 I still obtain 60+ FPS 100% of the time on maximum settings.

3 out of 5 eggsEntry level 3D feature

Pros: It is a true 3D monitor with low price.

Cons: No adjustments except brightness er... where's contrast, color temperature, sharpness and so on?

Other Thoughts: Of course people buy this one for 3D games or movies. But you'd better take another common monitor for daily use, since this iZ3D H220Z1 isn't good for that at all. In addition this dual panel 3D monitor take two output interface, good luck that your video card has a third one. Otherwise you need to unplug and replug the cables all the time.

5 out of 5 eggsPart of the Family

Pros: It works, it's bright, passive 3d is great - I wish more people had picked up on this instead of headache inducing interleaving. Privacy screen (?!) when you want it on the polarized front monitor.

Seriously - good resolution and price for it's size. It can be a bit bright because it's working through a second screen, but the contrast is decent. Not for color-picky work, but great overall as a monitor - esp considering the 3d bonus compared to others in this price range.

Cons: That they stopped making these? It's a great monitor for a fantastic price with a 3d bonus.

extreme shifts in distance in a game can be problematic - though this issue will basically be constant. The drivers essentially work the same as your eyes do, adjusting for convergence and simulating depth, but in real life your eyes can do it faster. it's just a reality - not EVERYTHING can be in focus ALL the time.
The best you can do is adjust to a decent middle ground - trading real visual depth (honestly, this is the best monitor at generating depth I have ever seen) for fuller up close focus to prevent seeing double when you cross your eyes at point blank range.

Other Thoughts: The only substantial annoyance is that the monitor requires 2 separate inputs, which isn't the case with other 3d capable monitors. It's a result of basically boxing two separate screens in one enclosure - they don't have anything onboard that would enable the use of a single input to power both monitors.

WHY DON'T OTHER MANUFACTURERS MAKE A PASSIVE POLARIZED SETUP LIKE THIS?

Lenticular screens may be great, but they're limited by a small effective viewing angle. Active 3d is just milking you for money with proprietary formats and glasses that cost as much this whole monitor does.
3d monitor + eyefinity - my next experiment for my R6970...

1 out of 5 eggsThink again before purchasing

Pros: Working 3D monitor - works the way you expect.

Cons: Iz3d no longer supports them. Been calling and emailing them to no avail. Basically if you need replacement glasses, "they are no longer available". There are NONE aftermarket replacement either -- unless you are able to stand HORRID left-right color difference that gives you a headache. This product is ALREADY in its grave, so I strongly recommend AGAINST it.

Other Thoughts: I am still hoping the issue would be worked out.

3 out of 5 eggsImmensive but with cons

Pros: Good 3D effect, not complicated to set up

Cons: Ghosting, linearly polarized causing rotational variance, incompatibility with some titles (e.g. Arma2), glasses have color differences

Other Thoughts: can't beat the price
