5 out of 5 eggsGreat 3d and 2d monitor

Pros: Great 3d OR 2d monitor
Despite what many reviews say about the lack of buttons and on screen adjustments, it just does not need them. It just simply works. Any adjustments needed are left to the video card, which seems proper, why duplicate function. Simplicity at its best. 3d is great once you learn proper setup. The 2d color is crisp and deep. The contrast ratio seems well into the edges of perception as described by the discerning people I know that have had time in front of this monitor.

Cons: Worst con... IT'S NO LONGER MADE :-(
If they bring this monitor back at this reasonable cost and you will have a HIT!! (hint hint,)
It does run a bit warm but for what is packed in these devices it should be expected.
The base design leaves a bit of room for improvement.
The driver software is not as user friendly as it could or should be.
Given this software is one of their marketed products I would expect a much higher standard. The entire driver/software experience is techy, in a bad way. Somehow it feels incomplete, its almost as though it resembles a fast hack. The programmer may know exactly what the aim is, but cannot back down, step back and see it through a common users experience. This or, maybe its left to open as the field is just coming of age and there seems to be no set standards??
Also I am not a fan of wizards, but theirs is even more annoying, and almost ineffective. Proof of this is in the reads of these reviews.

Other Thoughts: For those complaining about ghosting, read up on how 3d works. I find the ghosting very minimal once convergence, and separation are correct.. There is a small color deviation from one eye to the other with this monitor, but again that is a inherent effect of LCD technology. * LCD polarization another thing to read up on* The extension of the workspace into the 3d separator screen can have its uses and novelties , but I wish there could be a way to lock it off and still have the vid carrd software see it as usable for the 3d in games. It does get annoying after some time when multiple screens are used in addition.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor! Great Price!

Pros: Excellent monitor, especially the 3d for the price! 5 star customer service! Extremely professional and courteous customer support. I was making a major user error when I was trying to use this monitor (directions say hit this key, customer support said hit the same key, I kept hitting another key...go figure) and the CSR's still kept working with me all the way up until I realized it was my own error!

Cons: Monitor can get pretty hot if used for long periods (12 hours straight no break type use). I do a lot of gaming, so this is pretty normal for me. Didn't shut off, just can start to feel the room heating up from it.

Major downfall, this thing is being discontinued. *BUT* the IZ3D team is still supporting it and say they won't drop support from this monitor.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor for the price.

2 out of 5 eggsGood for 2D, but 3d ghosting kills the experience

Pros: The monitor is a nice size; Package includes all the cables and four pairs of glasses to get you up and running; Installation and setup is relatively quick and easy, with detailed step-by-step instructions

Cons: By far, the factor that absolutely kills this monitor's 3D potential the most is the relentless ghosting. I've tried multiple DX9 and DX10 apps, viewed the monitor from different angles, adjusted the separation and convergence variables, but no matter what, there's always terrible ghosting from any object that isn't directly in focus, which makes it uncomfortable to view and absolutely irritating. For the objects in focus, they do hold a great amount of depth, but that's not the entire screen. And what good is a 3d monitor that... well, doesn't do 3d?

: Even at 0, the brightness is still high.

:Reflections on the screen, though not entirely distracting, might become a bit of a bother at times (though very rare)

:When my computer is in standby mode/hibernating/sleeping, the power light frequently flickers in orange. I would prefer it to remain a constant color, like all other monitors, rather than wildly flicker.

Other Thoughts: An okay introduction to 3D, and a very cheap alternative to purchasing higher priced 3d monitors. Although I love the design and size, the 3D effect just doesn't cut it for me. What good is it when the ghosting is so strong that both eyes are practically seeing two separate images, EACH? As a 2D monitor, it plays well, but the selling point of this monitor is the 3D aspect, which is rather weak. I'd recommend purchasing this if you want to at least get a mild introduction on the potential of 3D gaming and movie viewing on a monitor, or perhaps purchase it simply because it's a cheap (and discontinued) way of getting a 3d effect. Otherwise, pass this one over. It shines with 2D, but for 2D, there are plenty of other monitors for the same price that are much, much bigger than the iZ3d.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat 3d monitor for the budget

Pros: cheap, easy to use, the 3d is amazing. Ghosting is still a problem though!

Cons: Can't play Blue Ray 3D movie

Other Thoughts: not much, hope that iz3d will update their driver/glasses to improve the ghosting and hopefully they have an implement supporting the blue-ray 3d

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 3D gaming is awesome, plenty of glasses, easy setup with great support from IZ3D's website.

Cons: The auto-focus is a pain sometimes

Other Thoughts: Bought this when it was $120 and I can't believe how great of a deal I got.

4 out of 5 eggsFeels good man

Pros: Cheap 3D; That should be reason enough to buy it.

Cons: In-game convergence and depth range setup can be cumbersome for someone without any previous experience with 3D equipment. And it gets hot, really hot. Don't keep it under your AC controls. My infrared thermometer reads it idle at 100F

Other Thoughts: Radeon 5770 + 22" iZ3D = ~$350 total

Nvidia shutter glasses + 120hz monitor + a good GTX card= ~$650 total

Nvidia needs to take a hint from iZ3D... Us poor peeps want 3D too.
