3 out of 5 eggsGreat mount for the price

Pros: Great product for the price, I used it with a small epson projector, setup time was a couple of minutes.

Cons: It seems to be hard to tight the screws enought and I needed to constantly re-ajust the position of the projector. Also, I just upgraded to an epson 8350 and it will not reach the screw mounts, so I will need to buy a new one

3 out of 5 eggsTook some playing with

Pros: It was a good price on sale and comes with all the hardware to work with about any projector, even my interesting one with some creative adjustment.

Cons: I almost sent this back, the lack of instructions can make it a bit of a challenge, especially with my small mounting holes in my projector I had to look at some pictures online before it clicked.

4 out of 5 eggsGets the Job Done

Pros: Sub $20 when on sale!
Small and very easy to put together.
This thing was great for the price. I mounted a Viewsonic Pro8200 in about 20 minutes.

Cons: The hardware isn't top notch quality but for the price you shouldn't expect anything more than what you get in this.
If you want a mount that is above and beyond in fit and finish this isn't it.
If you are putting together a Living Room Theater or something of the like than this is a great solution for the price!

Other Thoughts: Have patience when assembling and use the right size screwdrivers so you don't strip the screws.

2 out of 5 eggsget what you pay for

Pros: Got this on sale near black friday to go with my new projector. Price was right and features looked good.

Cons: When I started to assemble the box, one of the mounting brackets which was supposed to have a drilled and threaded hole in it was only half drilled and not threaded it all, rendering it useless without a repair. Also, none of the included screws fit my projector. In Rosewill's defense, they warn you in the manual that you might have to run out and get screws from your local hardware store. In the configuration it is, it doesn't feel very stable or sturdy at all and I wince anytime anyone goes near it. Hopefully I won't have to change the cable configuration anytime soon, because I'm afraid it'll break if I touch it.

Other Thoughts: For $18 I didn't expect the world, but I expected more than I got. In the reduced capacity that this shipped in, it is so delicate that I feel it's going to drop my projector to the floor if I turn on a fan in the room. I don't even feel safe sliding the remote control out of it's holder. Next time I won't be so cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: quite sturdy, the spiral screw plate allows you to mount just about any screw arrangement

Cons: It doesn't drop the projector down very far, maybe 7 inches total.
Takes a few minutes to figure out where you want to put the screws in the spiral plate, but that plate allows you to mount just about any screw set up, which is nice because my projector has 3 screw holes and they are not equally spaced on the unit, it's sort of 2 on one side and 1 on the other

Other Thoughts: I like the mount. I've had it for about a month, but the projector has only been attached to the ceiling for about a week now.

3 out of 5 eggsMostly does the job

Pros: Extremely affordable, very versatile and adjustable.

Cons: A (very) minor complaint was it didn't have screws that matched my Acer which necessitated a Home Depot trip. I believe some Optomas use the same screws (4-40, fwiw)

A bigger complaint is that the arms that mount to the projector are susceptible to flexing even though I used washers and tightened and re-tightened. This was the case even with a projector that only weighed six pounds. I wasn't worried about the projector falling, however, due to the flexing and drift it couldn't be aligned properly with the screen.

I ended up using a 1/2" piece of plexi glass between the mounting circle and the projector, and chucked the mounting arms. The end result is very solid.

Other Thoughts: Outside the mounting arms this is a total bargain for those who are willing to possibly commit to a little DIY if they run into similar issues as I did. Now that the projector is secured solidly I can adjust in every direction and the image on the screen is perfectly aligned.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mount for the price

Pros: Projector (ViewSonic 8200 Pro) installed without a hitch with included screws. Went into the ceiling with no problems. Plenty of room for cords and very stable once up.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've installed a ton of ceiling fans in my day and compared to that, the installation of the mount and projector was cake. Went up without a hitch, aiming was easy, final position is secure. We were able to run all necessary cables and connectors through the neck of the mount with no problem. Installation is secure and looks very clean.

3 out of 5 eggsUniversal Mount

Pros: It's stable, instructions are easy to follow. Install is pretty simple.

Cons: I find it sad that Newegg Bundled this with the Optoma HD66 Projector. It comes with the most common screws for universal projectors. The smallest one it had was a m4 screw, which doesnt fit the projector I bought. It's as if Newegg bundled this projector mount just to get rid of it.

I visited 3 hardware stores and 1 radio shack. Finally found the screws needed, but only had an Alanwrench head.. freaking lame.

Other Thoughts: If you are going to buy this projector mount, make sure you go to the Projector website and download the PDF of the schematics of your projector first. Find out what you need before you have to run around town to get it all.

4 out of 5 eggsSturdy, well built

Pros: Built well
Comes with a lot of screws combination
Arms are strong and flexible.

Cons: Had to get different screws to connect to my Acer H5360

Other Thoughts: Some people broke into my house and tried to yank my projector of the ceiling. The mount held and only one screw mount on my projector broke off...they left the projector, so I'm thankful the mount held.

3 out of 5 eggsBeware of combos with this

Pros: Looked like it would have been a really nice mount if I could have used it. In the combo, was only $5. Not bad there. Like the double ball swivel set up idea.

Cons: Not fond of only two screws holding the whole thing, but would have given it a try. If only I could find that darn stud in the ceiling. sheesh.

Other Thoughts: The Epson Home Cinema 8350's mount points are way to wide apart for this mount. So please newegg.com, remove that suggestion from that projector's combo deals. I know not of the other projector's I checked out, however. Beware!
