2 out of 5 eggsOlder Technology

Pros: Handles VGA, small size, power adapter handles multiple country standards

Cons: We needed a device that could wireless connect via VGA to our projector and this seemed like it might work. Sadly it didn't work for us--it's older technology that is outdated for complex powerpoint presentations, 16:9 aspect ratios, etc. It took a while to configure--the hardware needed a firmware upgrade, the settings require trial and error and require a reboot for each one, etc. After using it once publicly, it was clear that the aspect ratio of 4:3, poor resolution, and very choppy video wouldn't work for us. We decided to return it and bought an IPEVO product that was very similar but did work for our needs.

Other Thoughts: If someone has an older projector and they're running it with an old computer, this might work fine.

5 out of 5 eggsNice adapter

Pros: Wireless bridge, usb for drivers, you don't have to install anything and can run off the usb

Cons: frame rate sometimes lags, resolution is not great, 1280x800 I think is the biggest it gets., no HDMI

Other Thoughts: nice to use for ceiling mount and you can wireless bridge it so you don't have to run network cable to it.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall OK

Pros: Fairly easy to setup. Software for end-users is not hard to install and is fairly small in size. Almost fast enough to keep up with streaming videos wirelessly. Wireless use means any employee can run a meeting with minimal involvement from IT. Wireless N is a nice touch.

Cons: Only 10/100 NIC so wireless is "faster". Better to disable the wireless functionality and plug into network with robust wireless APs. Menus are finicky and require a little creativity to setup the unit. Very occasionally the unit will lock up and need to be rebooted which may be a heat related issue. VGA only.

Other Thoughts: Not for home use, but in the workplace they are pretty nice. I currently have 5 of these setup in various conference rooms without any major issues. If this had a gig ethernet port and a digital connector (hdmi/dvi/displayport) this thing would rock. All cables are easily hidden above ceiling tiles.

4 out of 5 eggsseems technical but has issues

Pros: lots of features, works over wireless (creates its own network)

Cons: the driver is somewhat finicky. Seems to mess with peoples diplays

Other Thoughts: I'm sure it's tough making these things. I wish they had a contact line or something for help on the minor issues
