Pros: In my first dual monitor setup I also had a complete change of design in my room incl. the furniture. Ergonomics were a huge part of that, my keyboard and armrests had to be lower (get monstrous keyboard tray, totally worth it, got one as a gift from my employer; modified task chair), my screens higher and a bit further. I also wanted the option to have as much desk space as possible, placing my 2nd keyboard (for alternative machine) away, along with managing whatever papers/books.

This solved all of that for me. Both monitors, a 19" flat panel and 20.1" widescreen lcd, fit snug, were at a better height for viewing, and I got the additional desk space (desk + riser) as well as a small drawer which I use for discs, markers, and various adapters/notes.

Since I was alright with the height as it was it totally slipped my mind that the legs could be extended a bit. This came in handy later, see other thoughts (the first part, not the randomness after).

Cons: If your desk is already low as it is, this may not get you to the viewing height you desire even with the legs raised. You're going to have to do this math on your own.

Same goes for your monitor setup. This is most likely not going to support 2 24" monitors, maybe not even 2 22" monitors though it may be wide/lengthy enough to support the latter. It depends on the stands of the monitors and their builds.

Other Thoughts: I have since moved on to using a dual monitor stand from Ergotron. I still use this though. It sits above the base of that stand, below the monitors. With the factory monitor stands gone there is even more room for me to use. Instead of being worried that ultimately I just wasted money on this, it continues to pull its worth.

Some random thoughts...I never really used the cup holder/compartment. Well maybe a few times, just for the sake of using it. Even if I did drink often in this room it would be awkward having a cup stick out of a flat surface where other objects could've been resting. It's a nice additional option, though. I got a holiday stress ball once from a visiting company, I just hid it in there lol.

5 out of 5 eggsFellowes Premium Monitor Riser

Pros: Not much to add to Hugh's very good review.
I have not seen another monitor riser that would accommodate my Microsoft 4000 Natural Ergonomic Keyboard. Plenty of room for it underneath. It has 2 CD trays. The cupholder insert fits into either one of these, giving even lefties a workable solution for their drinks. Unlike Hugh, I use the cupholder daily & it has saved me from knocking my cup over multiple times. The CD trays are not really an optimal way to store CDs, so I put a paper clip dispenser in one. All in all, it is a solid platform & raises the monitor to an ergonomic level. No neck strain here.

Cons: I think this is fantastic product. Liked it so much at work that I bought one for home use. Fellowes has replaced this model with one that is FAR INFERIOR. Get it while you can!

Other Thoughts: Hugh's on point - a cable organizer would be very appropriate. I would also like to see a workable LED strip under the front edge. I mostly keep overhead lights turned off & really need a good LED light so see my keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsA great space saver and organizational tool.

Pros: This thing is a godsend. I got it for my 19" Viewsonic CRT and it held fine under the weight. Now, it just barely accomodates my dual 19" Viewsonic VA912bs LCDs. The adjustable legs give you the versatility to adjust how high you need you monitors to be or how much clearance you need underneith it. I can safely slide my Logitech G15 keyboard underneith it which is simply awesome. The drawer is a great place to keep stuff you routinely use: pencils, erasers, batteries, flash cards, and any number of little things -- the drawer is also removable, which makes cleaning a breeze.

Cons: The mugholder and CD holder really aren't that practical: since you probably have more then 8 CDs - and if you use those CDs that much you might as well consider making an image. As for the mug holder -- I really wouldn't want drinks that close to my monitors or give it the angle it needs to get in my keyboard if it spills.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you get this version and not the smaller one -- it won't have the width for keyboards. Matches my logitech G15 keyboard pretty darn well. Fellowes also has a printer stand version as well, which is more expensive, but is worth investing in. Fellowes stuff matches pretty well with most black/silver finishes. Some built in cable management would be amazing.
