Pros: Works perfectly for the four locations in which I have implemented these. The company I work for bought a total of four, of course, so you can count this review fourfold for the reliability of these devices. Installing is a snap, but you may need an extra RJ11 cable (depends on your needs). We used this on setups with one phone and one fax machine, and one incoming line to utilize both. I cannot say if a more complex setup would decrease this device's reliability, as I didn't bother experimenting past what I need them for. Get these if you want to save money, as the savings are greater when you're only using one phone line for fax and phone instead of two!!!
Cons: Caller ID function only works if you set the receive ring on this device to two rings or more. The default is 0 rings, and if you have it set to 1 or 0, your caller id won't work correctly. However, very simple instructions on how to fix this are available in the user guide on USR's website.
Other Thoughts: I wish they cost less... but you get what you pay for with these: quality, performance, and reliability. Plus, you save more in the long run when you use only one line for both! Also, Newegg shipping is the timed remote explosive device!!!!!!! (bomb)
