Other Thoughts: I have been using USR modems for years for emergency out of band access, fax servers, and dial in consoles. This one is currently deployed on the console port of a Cisco router for remote access when network configuration changes. It just works, and USR modems are the easiest to config. Pros: These modems are rock solid and about as standard as possible.

Cons: Nothing notable.

Other Thoughts: I have been using USR modems for years for emergency out of band access, fax servers, and dial in consoles. This one is currently deployed on the console port of a Cisco router for remote access when network configuration changes. It just works, and USR modems are the easiest to config. I can't really tell you much about the speed and all since I mainly use these at 9600 or 19200.
