Cons: Poor support from mfg. Other Thoughts: I bought this as a replacement for my modem/router that went south. Was easy to configure but now constantly drops the DSL connection - sometimes up to 8 times a day. Went to see if I could upgrade firmware and link goes to a dead page. Went to mfg website and could not find how to upgrade it, only that my router was one behind on the latest firmware. Would hesitate to purchase another from this mfg. Cons: Where are the gigabit ports? This is 2012 afterall. Other Thoughts: Used this to replace the horrible telecom DSL modem I had. The old modem wouldn't keep a connection and kept heating up. Phone company came out twice and didn't bother to check the modem. This worked right out of the box, though I had to do a manual setup as my telecom is Fairpoint (Yelm, WA) and the modem doesn't have an automatic setup built-in for them. But it has plenty of other automatice setups for different telecoms. Have not dropped a connection since install and my speeds are where they are supposed to be for my connection. Glad I picked this up. Only caveat, no gigabit ports. Seriously guys, this is 2012. Who still uses 10/100? Have to maintain my gigabit switch connected to this in order to maintain gigabit within my home network. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you?
