5 out of 5 eggsGreat router. Why bad reviews?

Pros: Easy to configure with the included CD or with the online configuration page. The online configuration page is user friendly and the layout is user friendly. I Haven't experienced any disconnection issues, heating up or any other issues. My experience with the router has been a positive one and since people only leave reviews when they are mad, I decided to write my own so you can make a better decision.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I play games online (modern warfare 3, etc.), and the game was showing the NAT as being "strict" even when the PS3 was showing a type 2 which should be open. I resolved this problem by configuring a DMZ. Problem solved. Instructions on how to do this can be found online. Overall I'm very happy with this modem router and I have no problem recommending this to anybody looking for an excellent overall product. Recommended.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money on this.

Pros: Looks good.

Cons: This router is TERRIBLE. A waste of your money. I tried manually setting it up with all of the information from my ISP and I had to use the CD because it just wouldn't work. While connected wirelessly, you stay connected for about 4 hours and then you get disconnected and are not able to rejoin. I believe the issue is the DHCP service firmware installed. You have to restart this router at least once a day. You are better off getting a cheaper router and flashing it with DD-WRT. OR just get a better manufactured router.

1 out of 5 eggsStay away

Pros: Fast when it worked.

Cons: The first one didn't work at all would not power up sent it back. Got another one it worked fine until it heated up then it would drop dsl connection. I sent it back for a refund.

Other Thoughts: Neweg does a great job working with you to excange or refund your product. I like the fact that you can print your shipping labels with your RMA # on it.

1 out of 5 eggsKeep looking

Pros: wireless and dsl in one

Cons: Documentation is terrible. There is no output for the phone line so you can connect a phone or fax through it. The setup wizard does not work with the static ip config my isp uses (not in their list of preconfig companies). Working with tech support for 45 minutes we could not get it to hold the static IP config and establish operation. I'm sending it back and just going with the unit my ISP sells.

Other Thoughts: It may work if you have one of the major isp's but I wont guarantee it. You may be better off looking elsewhere.
