4 out of 5 eggsCheaper than renting

Pros: It's faster than the SB5100 in which Comcast charges 8.00 a month to rent.

Cons: It works great after you get it set up right by calling Comcast to give them the product serial number.

Other Thoughts: What I did to eliminate the disconnects was was go into the Motorola web site and they can go into you Modem on line and bring it back to default what it's suppose to be. Since I did that I have no issues at all. The Blue lights are always on like they're suppose to be.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Purchased on 11/27/2012 and still running strong.

Cons: Not really a con but the LEDs double as night lights on my living room.

Other Thoughts: I was concerned after hearing plenty on negative reviews on this unit from other users however I've not had a problem with it yet.

Running on TWC, connected to a Cisco EA4500.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: Works as it should. Good bang for your buck. Not noise at all. Compatible with my ISP.

Cons: Not the latest version. Lights on the front may be annoying if pointed at the user. Fairly bright LEDs.

Other Thoughts: I got this to replace my rental I was paying monthly for from my ISP. It is an earlier version and works just a good. It will pay for itself in a few months. Works with my Dlink router.

3 out of 5 eggsHOT Box

Pros: Worked on it's own just fine, but conflicted w/ other components.

Cons: VERY HOT box... It also conflicted w/ my ASUS router. It would reboot the router constantly. Returned for an ARRIS

Other Thoughts: I've heard good things about this modem, but just wouldn't play nicely on my network.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent little modem!

Pros: Seems to be reliable with good throughput. Haven't seen the connection ever drop or had any kind of latency.

Cons: Bright blue tx/rx lights will light the whole room. Also the Link light's idle state is to flash orange (which means I'm on bonded channels). I know from the manual this means 'better connection', but it's really annoying constantly seeing a light flashing orange with no real reason. That seems poorly thought through.

Other Thoughts: Superficial cons aside, this has been a great little modem so far. BUT (big but for you reading this), I'm only paying for the 3 mbps connection rate. This modem IS connected using DOCSIS 3.0, but I have no idea how it performs at 50 mbps or higher, nor will I ever find out.

4 out of 5 eggsWell worth the money!

Pros: Ease of setup
Speed increase to my Internet

Cons: The LEDs are really bright in the dark!
Little higher price than I wanted to pay but still worth it.

Other Thoughts: I do not have the fastest Internet package that my ISP has but even with my lower level this modem added to my download speed and tripled my upload speed. I am "technically" getting better speeds than what I pay for :)

1 out of 5 eggsSurvived for 4 weeks

Pros: Compact and easy installation

Cons: Ordered this unit 4 weeks ago and now it's dead. Newegg provided a rebate so I cut UPC and claimed it. Now I can't even return it or get it replaced. Thanks, Newegg!
