Pros: It works great for me so far on a Windows 7 Professional machine.

Cons: Well, it's dial-up, so what do you expect? :)

Other Thoughts: If I'm remembering right, I had to install the driver that came with it in order to get the sound of the dial-up to come through speakers.

Pros: Form factor is nice. Seemed to function normally until it died two days ago.

Cons: Noticed phone line in the house was seized up. Finally checked the modem and noticed it was so hot I couldn't pick it up. Disconnected modem and phone service returned. When I reconnected modem it wouldn't even register as a USB device. DOA.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the expense of a warranty return. Went cheap and got what I paid for. No more TRENDnet products for me.

Pros: Plugged in to my Windows 7 computer, it found and loaded the drivers. I tried FAXing using the Windows FAX printer utility and it worked great out of the box!

Cons: noone

Other Thoughts: Troublefree inexpensive solution

Pros: Fairly cheap
Worked in Windows 8.1 x64.

Cons: The first one I bought worked for about a week. Then it stopped dialing, and the light on it never lit up again. I had a replacement shipped, and that one worked for 1 month before it did the same thing- no dial tone, no more light. I tried different USB ports, and so I doubt it's the laptop I'm using that's killing these.

Other Thoughts: Maybe it's bad luck, but both of these I had died, and the second one died exactly a day out of warranty.

Pros: Finding a modem that will work with linux is a nightmarish task, but this one was plug and play! showed up in my debian install (pve-kernel-2.6.32-26) instantly as /dev/ttyACM0. Works flawlessly with HylaFAX and our fax to e-mail system.

Cons: nothing so far.

Other Thoughts: works so well that I bought a spare to keep on hand. I hope they don't stop making this for as long as fax is around, it's one of those things that I hate to support, but businesses are obsessed with using a horrifically outdated technology. At lease this modem exists to save the day and make me look good to my boss ;) I use Winprint HylaFAX Reloaded on our windows desktops to provide a virtual printer that employees can use to fax any printable document from their computers. This gets us one step closer to going paperless!

Pros: does work as a dialup modem in win 7 ultimate

Cons: cannot get this to work with the win 7 fax and scan apps. wrote to trendnet about it from their website and to no real surprise.......NO REPSONSE

Other Thoughts: now I know better and will next time buy a product from a company that will at least respond even if they don't know the answer

Pros: Works under Windows XP

Cons: Could have more indicator lights, but that's not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I did not test it under Linux yet.

Pros: nice size

Cons: Does not work with Windows 8. Another review response from Trendnet said they wanted to renew confidence in the product. After I contacted Trendnet, they just said it doesn't work. No responxe of we are working on it or anything positive.

Other Thoughts: buy with caution

Pros: Plays modem sounds through PC audio; installed fine

Cons: It connected to the remote site I use, but would not reliably upload data to it, even when I lowered the baud rate.

Other Thoughts: Borrowed a USR5637 from a friend and that worked, so I'm ordering one. Twice the price, but a bargain that doesn't work isn't.
