4 out of 5 eggsI'm quite satisfied

Pros: *This is the only VDSL2 modem I found anywhere near this price range with 5ghz wifi.
*The wifi on it does work well
*Quite a few features in the web interface

Cons: *1 5ghz wifi antenna (you can get a few VDSL2 modems with AC1300 or AC1733 instead of AC433 for like 2.5-3x the cost)
*Somewhat clunky web interface
*Some models have better range
*(edit):100mbps LAN ports

Other Thoughts: This was the only VDSL2-supporting modem I could find with 5ghz support that was under $200. Those $200+ models do have higher 5ghz speeds (AC1300 or AC1733 from having 3 or 4 5ghz antennas instead of AC433 from 1 antenna). But I don't need 5ghz to get gigabit wifi speeds, I needed it to avoid the ~1 megabyte/second speeds I was seeing on 2.4ghz (on any channel!) starting about 6 months ago.

I tried it at my parents first since I don't have DSL ordered yet at my place -- they have a 150mw AP due to the number of walls between there and their living room. This one is 100mw, so there were low spots in the living room but it did keep a steady connection. I had equipment there on 2.4ghz g and n, and 5ghz a, n, and ac (do note, 802.11a is *off* by default.) The web interface on it is somewhat clunky but has plenty of features, and everything I tried worked OK. The ADSL set up and worked fine.

I took it over to my place -- it has plenty of power to cover here. If I have my (802.11ac-supporting) notebook right next to the AP, I can get about 40MB (megabytes) per second, and about 15MB/sec generally (with some jumps up to 20MB/sec or so every now and then) in actual usage. The phone gets a good (5ghz) 802.11n connection. I haven't encountered any odd behaviors (random wireless dropoffs, freezes, etc.) I'm quite satisfied.

(edit): I realized I had done my initial speed tests with the (gigabit) WAN port on the AC750 hooked to my gigabit switch. The LAN ports on the AC750 are 100mbps, and so typical wifi-to-LAN speed is 100mbps. I'm still satisfied -- this is much better than the alternatives of getting a VDSL modem with 2.4ghz and get 10mbps MAYBE on those noisey channels; getting a VDSL modem just to disable the wifi and run a dual-band AP; or spend 3x the cost on a AC1300/AC1733 model with gigabit ports.
