4 out of 5 eggsRunning Great Still

Pros: I bought this Docsis 3 modem so I wouldn't have to keep paying my ISP a modem rental. Paid for itself by now and has been running almost nonstop for a year.

Cons: No cons! That have come to my attention.

Other Thoughts: Cisco has quality stuff, this product is no different. Its not the exact same modem that Comcast rents their subscribers, but it is basically the same. Just phone Comcast and let them know u are sending their modem back, and have purchased your own.

1 out of 5 eggs2 dead in a row

Pros: Well it does power on and you can connect to it from my end. Nice looking software on the modem's web pages.

Cons: Doesn't connect to cable. ISP tried everything to get it to go and nothing. To make it worse I RMAed it and guess what? The SECOND modem it defective too. Bought a competing product and it's working perfectly. 5 stars to newegg 0 stars to cisco.

Other Thoughts: none

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None yet. Modem was DOA. Cable company was not able to get it to communicate.

Cons: Newegg was super fast on the shipping. No problem there. RMA return shipping is a bummer. That should come out of CISCO's pocket not mine.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully the RMA works.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked like a charm

Pros: I purchased this modem when Suddenlink told me I had to turn in my current modem since I didn't have phone service with them any more. I logged on to Suddenlink through chat and gave them the MAC address and Serial Number. They entered them and I shut down my computer, router and modem. I waited 2 minuted and powered them up in reverse order. Worked like a charm.

Cons: None at this point.

Other Thoughts: I like owning my own modem vs renting another one from cable company.

5 out of 5 eggsIt just works

Pros: Plugged- in to cable and socket, and it work. No monthly cable fees to rent one of their old box. I cannot test the full capacity of this devices speed, but we are easily able to 20Mbps/2Mbps advertised without our cable without a hitch.

Cons: None that I have been able to detect

Other Thoughts: We have Mediacom, and this device was on their list that will work with their equipment. Check with your provider before buying.

This modem should allow some speed upgrades in the future.
