Fast reception. Easy to configure. Cons: No spam filtering on station identifier. Because this unit actually receives faxes better than the old system, we are actually getting a lot more spam! Other Thoughts: We had GFI Faxmaker and it was not able to communicate with newer fax machines. Upgrading to the newest version and upgrading the modems was going to be MUCH more expensive than buying this unit. Ordered the FaxFinder and read the instructions prior to its arrival. I created CSV files with users and routing paths. Once the FaxFinder arrived, I rack mounted it, uploaded my config files, and swapped the phone lines from the faxmaker to the faxfinder. Jim S. 12/20/2013 6:59:36 AM Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 2/5 This review is from: Multitech Faxfinder Ff240 2 Port V34 Fax Svr Includes Pros: it worked Cons: We had an old FF220 but it didn't support SLL authentication when connecting to our new mail so we needed to upgrade the fax server. I was a bit disappointed that a firmware update wasn't available that could fix the issue, but MultiTech told me that they had a trade in/rebate program that ran until 2013-11-29 and if I hurried I could take advantage of that. I ordered from New Egg on 2013-11-27 and got the unit the following Monday. I took about three hours to install the new device and get it running and configured properly. So then I try to get the rebate. To make a long story short, the MultiTech person who told me the rebate program ran until 2013-11-29 was wrong - the rebate program ended 2012-11-15, the 2013-12-29 date was when the paper work had to be submitted for the rebate. Most honorable companies would have apologized for the mis-information and make good on the rebate, but not MultiTech. I was sorry I bought the MultiTech device, their technical support over the years was not very good and I wish I took the time to research other venders instead of jumping to get the rebate (as this device was for a non-profit, cost is always an issue).
