Features
Innovative Scroll Ball and button
Perfectly positioned to roll smoothly under just one finger, Mighty Mouse's Scroll Ball offers full 360-degree scrolling capability - up/down, left/right and diagonally. You can scroll long web pages, pan full-size images, maneuver around large spreadsheets, control a video timeline and more. And you can even click the Scroll Ball to access your favorite Tiger features such as Dashboard, Spotlight.

Touch-sensitive top shell
It looks and feels like a sleek one-button mouse, but Mighty Mouse's smooth top shell hides a powerful secret: touch-sensitive technology under the shell detects which part of the mouse you're clicking, so you can both left-click and right-click. And if you prefer the simplicity of a classic one-button mouse, Mighty Mouse is up to the task. Just use the Mac OS X system preference pane to configure it how you want.

Force-sensing side buttons
When you give Mighty Mouse a squeeze, force-sensing side buttons can be configured to activate Mac OS X features such as Dashboard, Expose or a whole host of other customizable features.

Customizable
If you have Mac OS X Tiger, Mighty Mouse can give you fingertip access to the special features you love. Simply use the system preference panel to configure Mighty Mouse in the way that makes you most powerful. Control the Scroll Ball's tracking and click functions, as well as the right, left and side click functions. And you even can set up different mouse profiles for every user account on your Mac.

1 out of 5 eggsmy hand hurt !

Pros: looks nice... I guess....

Cons: - relatively expensive for a cheap wired mouse
- hurt my hand from dragging stuff around !!!!
- button sometime won't register
- short wire
- trackball get dirty and no (easy) way to clean it
(and stop working after a while (dust get inside, a real mess!))

- components glued together (harder to clean)
- fell so uncomfortable
- precision is weak for a 50$ mouse

the mouse have like 1 button that act like two via touch-sensitive sensors, I like to rest my finger on the left button, but I can't because it will register a right click even though I clicked on the left side. then my hand started to hurt after only 20 minutes of uses. the button sometime won't work if you rest your finger on both side. the short wire get annoying pretty fast, even went it's connected to the keyboard just a couples inches away.

Other Thoughts: one of the worst mouse ever! I've seen mouse from the 80's way more comfortable and functional. this mouse should cost 15$ maximum, but it cost 50$ because of the apple logo. now I use a cheap (10$) logitech mouse and work a thousand time better! it dosen't look not as good, but at least it's way more functional and comfortable and best of all, it doesn't hurt my finger, even after hours of intense use (like editing video and photoshoping stuff)

apple, I hope you can design a decent mouse one day.... :/

2 out of 5 eggsBeautifl but poorly designed

Pros: The design is beautiful - slick, elegant, a pleasure to look at. Tracking is good. Right-click and many Mac-specific features. Everything else is downhill.

Cons: The tracking ball stops working after a few months due to accumulation of dirt on its tiny wheels - this happens consistently, as documented by numerous posts on the Internet. There is no way to clean it without breaking open the mouse (it is glued together).

Clicking is hard and awkward - the entire upper half of the mouse is the only click button (right-clicking is accomplished via a right-finger sensor inside the mouse).

Other Thoughts: Bottom line: do not be seduced by the beautiful design - this mouse as elegant as it is dysfunctional.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor design

Pros: Optical tracks well, right and left clicks are available once you've configured right clicks in OSX.

Cons: Ni_pple ball will fail over time, inside of mouse not accessible for cleaning without damaging the product.

Other Thoughts: The scrolling ni_pple kills the experience. It fails at precision. It has a tacky surface which also accumulates hand oils that will eventually gunk up the contacts inside your mouse in typical 1995 fashion. If you don't opt to buy a different mouse after it fails then process for cleaning it involves breaking the glued seal on the bottom of the mouse and prying the thing apart to get to the wheel contacts. That piece then needs to be glued back on. I would recommend avoiding this mouse in favor of newer models.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Worth The Plastic It's Made With.

Pros: - 4-way scroll wheel is nice
- Has the expensive Apple logo on it.

Cons: - Cheap plastic body

- Have to click multiple times to have it register a click

- Short cable

- Slow mouse movement and low sensitivity

Other Thoughts: This device from Apple is a huge disappointment. For being a company who brags up their savoy for design, this is a horribly cheap offering from them, without the low pricetag it should have.
