Multiple In-Cockpit Controls

Multiple In-Cockpit Controls

Saitek's Pro Flight Switch Panel is ideal for expanding the number of controls in your flight simulator setup. Attach it to your Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, place it atop your desk, or even mount it to your own custom cockpit setup. Control your landing gear and lights, engine power and other important aircraft functions, all from one compact unit.

5-Position Magneto Dial Ignites Engines

The Switch Panel accommodates a wide range of different aircraft and features a five-setting rotary switch that individually controls the magnetos in your plane's ignition system. The 'R' and 'L' positions activate their respective magneto in each engine, 'BOTH/ALL' activates every magneto, and moving to 'START' engages the starter. Once engaged, the engines and magnetos turn, working in unison to fire at exactly the right time in the ignition process.

Realistic Landing Gear Control

Realistic Landing Gear Control with LED Indicators

Bring your plane's landing gear up or down with a satisfying click of an actual control lever. Convenient LEDs provide visual indication of real-time gear status from FSX and Prepar3D. If your flight sim of choice is X-Plane, plugins are available for direct download from our website. Now you can see the exact state of your landing gear with a mere glance at the Switch Panel.

Fully Customizable

Fully Customizable to Meet Your Needs

Saitek's Pro Flight Yoke is the foundation of an authentic flight sim experience and built to harmonize with many other Saitek flight simulation products. Saitek's range of Instrument Panels are modular and interchangeable by design, and can be situated one on top of another or side-by-side. Want the Altimeter above the Compass? Done. Want your Vertical Speed Indicator to the left of your Airborne Direction Finder? Go for it. It's your choice. Easy-to-use mounting brackets provide the means to arrange your flight simulation setup in a configuration only limited by your imagination.

5 out of 5 eggsNo more looking with the camera to flip these switches

Pros: - bought this to take more of the common panning of the camera when starting up the plane... and who wants to use hotkeys these days anyway?
- well constructed mounts easily to my other pro flight stuff

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you are buying the ProFlight range of things make sure you buy a powered usb hub - your computer cannot power all this stuff off its motherboard... I bought a 13 port 12v 5A one by Anker which does the job providing power.

1 out of 5 eggsNOT general-purpose/programmable

Pros: It's a relatively sturdy built device, even if it's entirely plastic. I like that the panels can attach to one another using the included screws (or, if like me, you would feel they'd be more secure with more screws, look for M4x20 or so screws)
It functions exactly as advertised.

Cons: Unfortunately, I made an incorrect assumption that because the panel is a Saitek device, it would be programmable in the SST software. That is not so.

The drivers are hard-coded for their functions and will ONLY work in Flight Simulator X or X-Plane.

Other Thoughts: While it's a little unfair to rate something so low for not doing something it was never advertised to do, I feel the Saitek name is enough to warrant better drivers. Saitek support, however, has taken the position of "We never advertised it as such and so we have no intention of writing proper drivers." It's up to the community to write our own third-party drivers.

1 out of 5 eggsRubbish software

Pros: Solid physical construction, doesn't "feel" cheap

Cons: Flipping switches on this panel is almost at likely to freeze up your FSX as it is to actually perform the action. I'm actually afraid to use any of the switches now because of it.

Other Thoughts: Saitek tech support was unresponsive.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy setup

Pros: Well, as long as MS Flight Simulator is installed prior to installing this device. Otherwise you have to go through and unplug and plug the device back in before launching FS (still a very easy process, just missed it in the install documents). Very nice feel to all of the switches. While the picture for the Magneto shows OFF|L|R|BOTH/ALL|START, the actual panel correctly had the Magneto setup as OFF|R|L|BOTH/ALL/START.

Cons: The mounts do not have the countersink that the Yoke has, so the angled screwheads do not screw in completely. Seems to be a miss by Saitek as they own all of the components here.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks amazing but...

Pros: Rugged design unlike the rudders and yoke, switches e that loud click noise like a real plane switch. Landing gear lights work amazing. Off when gear is up, red while gear is in motion and green while down. Starter knob works well, but only work on prop planes.

Cons: Saitek says that they have no current plans to make this compatible wits Microsoft Flight, so that is a downer. No other cons.

Other Thoughts: I love this thing
