3 out of 5 eggslasted for 3 years

Pros: customization is crazy. when it was working it was the best mouse i even used.

Cons: had issues for the last couple of years with it not working and normally you could unplug the usb and plug in back in.
Now the mouse will not send the signal to the base anymore. not sure the issue.

Other Thoughts: $150 should last longer than 3 years if you ask me.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Adjustable to fit your hand nicely, great tracking, I like the wireless aspect, nicely weighted so that it doesn't fly around your desk easily, glides well and has enough buttons to allow me to do the things I like while gaming.

Cons: Battery life is a little low in my opinion, however it does come with two so one can be charging while the other is in use. I have had an issue a couple of times (only list this as a con because its happened more then once, but not frequently) where I had to unplug the mouse and plug it back in after swapping batteries in order to get it to work. The thumb adjustment can't take too much pressure so when changing the battery, try not to hold your mouse so that you are putting pressure on the thumb adjustment. From time to time, the mouse doesn't want to track up (away from you) and I have yet to figure out what's the cause of that one. Also the thumb wheel location for me makes it a wasted feature. Its just not intuitive and I've never used it.

Other Thoughts: After about 2 years of having this mouse I am finally shopping around for a new one. Sadly, it seems Cyborg was bought out by Mad Catz, and apparently they have a horrible reputation, so I won't be going with a similar mouse. The only reason for shopping around is that one of the 2 batteries is dying on me so it will die before the other is charged. But honestly I can't complain after 2 years. I do feel as though I've gotten my monies worth from this mouse.

3 out of 5 eggsSad Really!

Pros: Looks very nice
Completely customizable
Feels good while holding it

Cons: The Allen Key that comes included sticks into my palm while using it, although very cool looking not very comfortable and had to remove it. No big deal really. After 3 days of owning this mouse it stopped working on me. Yeah a 100 dollar mouse stopped working after 3 days. I used a logitech mouse from WalMart paid 10 bucks, for 3 years no problem. Somethings not right with that picture. I hope this company designs a better and more durable mouse.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a great wireless mouse, this is not the one. Sorry but its true. Just look at the reviews. I figured I would get lucky and receive a non broken one. Not the case.

3 out of 5 eggsR.A.T. 9

Pros: Quick response time for gamming. Works great if you are not using more than 1.5 hrs.. The mouse is unlike any mouse on the market. Multiple adjustments will allow you to set the mouse to fit your hand. Also takes a little time to get used to it. This mouse is cool! And High Tech.

Cons: Battery on this unit falls short on play time. You might get 2 hours out of the battery if you are lucky. Contacted manufacture and they sent me two more batteries. Still get less than 2 hrs. play time before you need to change battery’s out again. Just buy the usb mouse....

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome, but battery could use way more life

Pros: Pretty awesome almost all around, way customizable, lots of features,....took me about an hour of messing with it to get it set up EXACTLY how I wanted, tweaking the weight, and the various panels, etc.

Love in.

Cons: -1 egg because I have to hot swap the battery at least once a day, usually several times...and this thing lives on my HOME computer which I don't use nearly as often as my office computer which has a Logitech wireless mouse that I haven't changed the AA battery on in about 10 months....

It's pretty annoying.

Other Thoughts: If you're super concerned with gaming, I'd suggest getting the wired version. At this point, I'd rather have it.... I never take my mouse off my desk.

3 out of 5 eggsFalls below expectations

Pros: - Absolutely the best looking, coolest mouse on the market.
- Nice customization (both software and hardware)
- Several fairly unique functions.
- Hot swappable battery * (reason for buying it -- but see cons)

Cons: - By far the biggest issue is the battery. Its incredibly difficult to pull it out of the mouse. You have to remove the palm rest to even grab the thing and then you need to pull that thing with all you got. It it seems like you are scraping a layer of plastic of the battery every time you pull it out.. just feels wrong.

- Pulling it out the battery out of the charger requires both hands and really easy access to the charger (meaning you cant have it somewhere hidden behind the monitor). If it wasn't so hard to replace the battery in the mouse, this would have been a major con but at this point I dont even care since there is nothing "hot swappable" about this battery.. You need to allocate planned time to do it, so if battery died during game session, you are ****ed.

- Battery life is really short. Would not have been such a big deal if it wasn't so hard to replace it.

- Mouse doesn't have a properly working battery indicator. It always has 4 bars of red, then when the battery is under 20% those 4 bars blink. This is not a problem only specific to my mouse, this was intended.

- Requires clicking the button to wake the mouse up from sleep and its a bit slow.

- Sometimes gets a little confused on the table surface (if not used on proper mouse pad)

Other Thoughts: Just like many other customers of this mouse, I found it and bought it because of my love for Logitech G7 mouse, that's no longer produced. I got really excited about Rat9, because it seemed to be the first mouse that has all the features of G7 I loved. G7 is 12 years old!!!.. and still Rat9 falls significantly behind in all battery related categories.

Honestly, I really really wanted to love this mouse. Once I saw first few minor issues (battery life indicator, little weird response on the table surface, how hard it was to push the battery into the charger), I was still wondering how to justify giving it 5 stars.. But once I tried to swap the battery, I know this was not going to be a replacement for G7..

Oh well. Hopefully someone will realize soon that there are a lot of customers like me that want a good wireless mouse with swappable battery.. and make some money off us.

5 out of 5 eggsR.A.T. 9 = ;-)

Pros: the at 7 was amazing def an amazing gaming mouse even used it for photoshop cus the sniper button helped pinpoint wehre to draw alot easier.

Cons: wire for rat 7 is too short

Other Thoughts: i used the thumb wheel to turn up and down the volume and the two thumb buttons for backwards and forwards.

this mouse is in my " i WILL buy next" list

3 out of 5 eggs1st day on the job

Pros: - really cool design
-the thumb side bumper is very comfortable
- the dpi control "sniper" button is perfectly placed

Cons: - mouse wheel feels like its going to break at any given minute (owned the mouse for less than 8 hours)

- heavy, and i mean heavy, but thats just my opinion
the back thumb button is too far back, pain in the *** to reach.

- not as sturdy as i would have imagined. the palm rest is adjustable, but the way its constructed if you have it past 2 clicks out (up to 6 clicks out) the palm rest will wobble and shift around.

- the "smart technology" to edit your controls etc... spent 3 hours so far trying to get it to work... guess the adjustable dpi sniper button is now useless... (best part about the software install -> first popup tells you to unplug your mouse... then you have to hit next... seriously?)

- adjustable thumb bumper feels cheap. when you go to click the thumb buttons you move the entire side of the bumper etc.

Other Thoughts: - cool idea. the whole adjustable mouse etc. im torn right now. i want to like it, but there are a lot of little things that im worried about.

- here's to hoping the lazer works and keeps tracking for the next few days until i return it...

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Great response, tons of customizing options, looks pretty slick.

Cons: Some laser eye problems

Other Thoughts: Was pretty solid for 14 months, then started to notice some issues with the cursor lagging behind momentarily. A month later (now), the cursor will not move at all. Read up on it and it seems that the laser has been giving others fits as well. It was a solid gaming mouse while it lasted, but shelling out another $150 isn't something I'm considering again.
