3 out of 5 eggsVision not so Ultra

Pros: Provides good video feed with good lighting.

Cons: Does not provide good video feed with decent to minimal lighting. Background lighting must be very good for the camera to provide a solid feed.

Other Thoughts: Product does not offer the good video quality it claims in regards to minimal lighting, however it is worth the purchase with a rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsUPDATE THE SOFTWARE!

Pros: Very clear picture, easy to use software suite, built in mic is very clear, sits on top of my LCD very nicely.

Cons: No Carl Zeiss lens. Included software causes CPU usage to skyrocket to 70%. 30fps unattainable even at 320x240 with included software.

Other Thoughts: Everyone saying "the software is bloated," "I can't reach 30fps," or "the software crashes my computer," just right-click on the tray icon and click "check for updates" to update the software. Once I did that, my CPU usage went down to 10% from 70%, and it stopped crashing counter-strike. 30fps at 1600x1200 (interpolated) still only brings cpu usage up to around 15% on my core 2 duo. This camera is very nice once you do that. The avatars even work better.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice product

Pros: I have had no problem using or installing this product, I even had no problem getting the rebate. I use this in my home to connect with my police department and have no problems. For police use this is the best.

Cons: None as of yet

3 out of 5 eggsGood camera, Logitech doesn't pay rebates!

Pros: This is the best camera I've had. The RightLight seems to work well and camera is widescreen.

Cons: 4MP is a joke - it's interpolation, pure and simple. LOGITECH DOES NOT PAY OUT THEIR REBATES. This is the second rebate I've failed to receive on a Logitech product.

Other Thoughts: Don't rely on Logitech rebates.

5 out of 5 eggsGood, but not firewire, no Linux, no Windows2003 support

Pros: Very well designed overall.Bright image, vivid colors, many options. Good price after rebate.
Download new software from site, don't waste time with the cd from the box

Cons: Not a fire wire camera just usb(30fps max), no windows 2003, no Linux support (sucks). I gave 5 eggs, cause it's seems the best for sale, but not best possible with todays technology. People in their "rosy" reviews should demand better faster technology

Other Thoughts: My Gigabyte card is also not officially supported under windows2003, yet nvidia driver does install and works. Problem with Logitech, their software refuse to install on 2003. I have a 32bit W2003 which very close to W2K. So at least Logitech can make it intallable. Sucks

5 out of 5 eggsA little large, but a performer

Pros: Excellent picture quality -- clear, sharp, detailed. "Right Light" works surprisingly well. Delivers claimed frame rates. The hoop-style mount works pretty well on CRT and flat panel monitors, but takes a little playing-with on a thin notebook screen. The audio works surprisingly well too, probably due to the echo-cancellation process. Their face-tracking works well too. All in all, well worth the money, even without the rebate. The software seems rock-solid, easy to use, and versatile.

Cons: It's probably the largest web cam in the history of the world, but it's not all *that* huge that it causes problems. I'd like a longer, more flexible USB cable on it. Finally, the hoop-mount doesn't allow for much right-left aiming. This wasn't a problem for a single user, but groups might find this annoying.

Other Thoughts: PAY ATTENTION TO THE SETUP INSTRUCTIONS! They're not kidding. I suggest that you do NOT use the included CD, but instead go straight to Logitech's support site and download the latest driver and install that.

3 out of 5 eggscamera with bells and whistles

Pros: Face overlays and Cute Avatars, Zoom in manually or have it zoom in automaticly, lighting control is good.

Cons: zoom in too much and it blurs, 30fps is hard to get even at 320x420

Other Thoughts: its a nice camera for someone that just wants to use it every now and then but definitly not for someone that is looking to use it daily. 30 fps is hard to get on this camera, its focusing needs to be manual as well but its not so it blur's alot.

5 out of 5 eggsEggcelent

Pros: Clear picture
Good quality video and audio
Easy to mount of a flat screen

Cons: Could use a tripod to mount anywhere
30FPS is a little low, but it's fine for what's used for
