Pros: This mouse may be worthy for professional gamers only, as Maximum PC suggested - and they may not be far from the truth - although I disagree with their mediocre rating. I found this mouse to be a supreme "Kickxxx" performer for gaming. It may have been optimized for the claw-grip (used by many top gamers such as Fatal1ty), but I've also tried different grip styles on this mouse without any concerns. Do not be troubled about what you may have heard about its smallish size...my hands are not complaining, and they are on the large side, enough to barely palm a basketball. This mouse glides more smoothly with less resistance than the G5/G7, making it the easiest mouse to move in Logitech's lineup. Aiming in games (and connecting successfully) has never been easier!
Cons: I prefer the G5/G7 for all my desktop tasks, long web surfing sessions, office apps, and quite possibly for graphics editing too. The G9 is not as ergonomic for a relaxed "resting" hand position, because it is shorter in height & length and provides much less support than its two predecessors. The G9 is better suited for a hand that's in "armed" position and ready to pounce. In other words, the G9 is further optimized for fast paced sessions that demand quick and precise movements. Also, lateral movement of the scroll wheel is not as easy as G5/7's. Top surface can get a little warm and can cause slight finger perspiration, too.
Other Thoughts: The G5 & G7 are very good gaming mice, and I don't believe this mouse is a "Must Have" for many gamers. The G9 is better tuned for gaming performance, but the G5/7 are better all-around mice for both play and work. I'll put it this way: In a high pressure gaming environment where jedi reflexes & accuracy are everything, the G9 is the tool to perform surgery with. This predatory mouse comes highly recommended only for those who are serious about gaming and want every edge one can get.

Perfect claw mouse

Pros: Quality design, super-smooth gliding, very customizable. This mouse is extremely well-suited for people who hold their mouse claw style. (google claw grip mouse for explanation of different styles) If you do not hold your mouse claw style, you probably won't appreciate this mouse as much as other more traditional models. But if you are claw style, like me, it is a godsend, as the two thumb buttons are both in range of your thumb!
Cons: Design not for everyone. If you hold your mouse with your whole palm and the entire length of your fingers touching the surface of it, you will probably not find this mouse as comfortable as others.
Other Thoughts: Two shells to choose from, a larger, curvier shell with full size rest for thumb (your thumb rests on a shelf on the mouse) and smooth finish. Second is a smaller, boxier shell with no thumb rest (your thumb will rest on mousepad) and rougher finish. (I prefer this one for claw style)

Pros: High DPI. Pretty lights.
Cons: Stopped working after three days of purchase. All the buttons still work, but the cursor no longer moves. It seems many other people have this problem. Have contacted Logitech and am currently waiting for RMA.

Pros: I've never spent more than $30 on a mouse before. I won't make that mistake again this is worth it. Cord is quite long mouse weight is good and it isn't too large to handle easily. changing sensitivity is great for gaming and changing the color of led lights to match my case lights is a nice touch.
Cons: not wireless

Pros: The sensitivity is where its at on this one. I play DoD Source a lot and I love to "rambo." Ramboing essentially is firing the heavy machine gun without deploying the bipod. You are compensating for the recoil by constantly "looking down" or moving down with your mouse. Well with this puppy, the sensitivity is so great, that it takes little effort to do that. Also the design of the mouse makes it so easy to handle. The buttons to adjust the sensitivity on the mouse itself make it really easy to change up quickly when needed.
Cons: None.
