5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Scroll wheel and a number of extra buttons is awesome and I haven't changed the batteries despite heavy usage in over a month and a half.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I was a pretty religious user of the "Trackman Marble" product (I still have 3 lying around 1 for my work PC and 2 for my home PCs) but got pretty tired of not having a scroll wheel. I was fairly skeptical cause it was wireless (I hate batteries) and some of the reviews but now am glad I bought it. I had to adjust the roller ball orientation and once I did and got it to where I was comfortable it took around a week to adjust to this newer version of it. I actually prefer it now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: I've used this for just over a year now and I'm still amazed at it's reliability. For a mid level gamer ( Rift, Skyrim, AC series and KoA) it performs much better than I expected. I thought battery consumption would higher but with Ray-o-vac NIMH 1.2v rechargeables it works fine. The ergonomics are great for me and buttons placement and reliability are outstanding even compared to the dozens of wired trackballs I've used over the years.

Cons: My only cons is the relatively short range (3-5 feet) from the wireless receiver and to reset I've had to use both buttons (one on the mouse and one on the receiver). These issues however are almost non existent compared to the positives.

Other Thoughts: I've used dozens of trackballs over the years and work with many disabled folks. This is one of the few wireless trackballs I would recommend for many disabled folks. While "special needs" may require a trackpad or some such, this is perfect for most of the folks I do builds for.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked great, for 1 day

Pros: Plug in, turn on, worked.

Cons: After one day it just stopped working completely.

Other Thoughts: RMA'd to New Egg. Hope to have better luck with second one. Good thing my old Trackman Vista from '97 still works...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good ergonomics. Next best to the discontinued MS trackball
Setup for basic use without any drivers.
The shipped unit was black and grey with a red bottom. Looks better than the black and silver, I think. The Logitech site has pics.

Cons: The receiver is pretty big, not the newer universal style. If you have an under-desk unit, the long cable on the receiver is nice, but otherwise it is too long.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat design, poor quality

Pros: This is, in my opinion, the best designed trackball mouse on the market. It fits the hand perfectly, allowing easy control of pointer and clicking most buttons with minimal finger movement.

Cons: Unfortunately, the quality of construction is abysmal. I've owned several of these over the years, and each one seems bit cheaper than the last. On the latest, the left click button failed about a month after purchase.

Other Thoughts: The spiritual successor to the awesome Trackman Marble FX, alas, not quite as good, and getting worse every year it seems.

3 out of 5 eggslaggy

Pros: Comfortable. Buttons fit my fairly large hand.

Cons: Laggy. Imprecise.
Just hitting pull down menus in applications is frustrating because the pointer doesn't go where you need it to.
Not really usefull for gaming.

Other Thoughts: Wish logitech or someone made something like the old Logitech Trackman FX with the very large trackball.

2 out of 5 eggsProblems

Pros: This was a great mouse, I've owned two. I used the first one for years and when it wore out I bought a second but it kept skipping so after calling Logitech I had to get a refund. Newegg was great as always. I bought the Logitech Performance MX, its not cheap but well worth the money.

Cons: I bought this mouse for a new build and the software wasn't compatible, the new one did the same thing as the old one.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat for office work, but short-lived

Pros: Solid layout, comfortable for my "average" sized hand, good assortment of features

Cons: Somewhat laggy, and very noticable when gaming (compared to my wired marble mouse). The left-click button also died after a little over a year of use at work.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as an upgrade from my trusty Marble Mouse (which had been used for about 3 years). Feature-wise this mouse is very good, however it's not very good for gaming due to the lag and I'm not thrilled that it died after only a little over a year of regular use. I'll buy a second one (on the company's dime) but I'm hoping to find a more responsive, more durable ball mouse with index-finger scrolling.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Trackball

Pros: I recently bought a second one of these after the first died. I can't complain, because the first one lasted at least 4 years, and is the most comfortable trackball I've used.
The color changed to be darker than my first one, this one is black, and goes well with my keyboard.

Cons: The rf receiver. It's still the old style, and large, especially compared to the unified receiver nub. If it came with one of those I'd have bought about three more for my other computers and a spare. For now I've got the receiver under my desk, so it doesn't bother me, but I'd like a smaller one for my netbook.

Other Thoughts: I think in the four years I had the first one, I changed the batteries twice. At the end, even changing the batteries didn't help, because it would work for a couple minutes, then become erratic, and then stop. If I get another 4 years out of this one I'll be happy

5 out of 5 eggsjust an awesome mouse

Pros: This is a replacement for the same exact mouse. Only reason it went out was granddaughter yanked on the reciever and pulled wires out. Had last one since 08. For gaming just cant beat this mouse. I hate mice you have to move your hand not near as accurate as this ball mouse is.

Cons: after 3 years my ball did get a spot on it that hangs on the glide posts, but come on its 3 years old. I did have to tear it apart after 1 year and strengthen the left mouse button as it stopped working. was easy fix with a bit of metal.

Other Thoughts: I had used microsofts trackball explorer but of course they stopped making them and now ones on market are 200 to 400 for a $60 mouse. This is an excellent replacement. if you like ball mice this is the one to get. just hope logitech don't stop making them. all the others i looked at just don't compare and most weren't optical.
