4 out of 5 eggsBEST Mouse I have ever owned

Pros: This mouse replaces the need for a remote to control volume and pause play/ next track. Its super responsive, good battery life. I game with it and there is no noticeable lag. Buttons light up and dim out when media controls are used.

Cons: #1 Its Discontinued :( The software that operates this mouse.. Is not the greatest, but with recent updates its much better than the CD that came with the mouse. You can customize it to operate your own choice of player (winamp) however I still dont use the software because I keep my computer to a minimum on un-needed software.

Other Thoughts: If the hardware buttons could be installed Via Driver Only and did not require software I would give it 6 eggs. Wish I would have got the RED version. I am really SAD that they discontinued this moues and have not come out with a respectable replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: good battery life especially with lithium batteries which makes the mouse lighter as well. Responsive. easy shape to control.

Cons: I don't sweat and thus my mouse retain its good looks but the color does fade and the volume buttons gets stuck every once in a while after a time. I red with the gloss coating looks better and is more protective I think.

Other Thoughts: I don't think you are suppose to rest your hand on mouses, its not egonomic. All those mouses that are ergonomic are for people who want to weaken their hands, wrists, and arms or they don't have steady hands.

5 out of 5 eggsgood all around mouse

Pros: A lot of button options.
Pretty responsive - works well in games.
Blue button lights.
Comes with a USB "extension".
No "tracking" light.
Looks good.
Good drivers.

Cons: batteries that come with it aren't that great.
Blue button lights don't stay on.
Helps to have a direct line of sight between the mouse and the receiver.

Other Thoughts: Helps to have a direct line of sight between the mouse and the receiver.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing mouse

Pros: No response lag at all works from quite a ways away and like other reviewers have noted it lasts forever on batteries. Love the media options

Cons: After over a year of use it can get gummed up and the side buttons have to be cleaned. The drivers can get confused a little if u dont do it right and you cant customize all the buttons for doing anything or for doing some stuff in different applications. Also if you set it to winamp but open up media player or media center to do something it changes the profile and you have to switch back to winamp to play/pause there(for me this is VERY annoying).

Other Thoughts: Originaly got mine when it first came out at a local computer store because newegg didnt have it at the time. I like using lithiums in it to make it lighter(its very very nice to have it be light). Writing this review because I am buying a new one due to the fact that mine has been dropped smashed and otherwise hurt so much after almost a year and a half its starting to get all to gunked up and I figure even though it still works fine I want a new shiny one to be proud of :)

3 out of 5 eggsGood 2nd Mouse

Pros: The second mouse I got was great, except for the track reverse button got stuck. I took the button out of my dead first mouse, and it has served me well for 7 months. The 11 buttons are great, I have never really hit any of them accidentally, despite being a klutz. All of the buttons serve their purpose well, except for the page backward and forward ; which do not work for Firefox.
Mouse tracking and sensitivity is great, even for games. This is my primary mouse. Mouse work through 2 walls 20 feet away.

Cons: My first mouse failed, button on second one broke. I used the button from the first one to fix the second mouse. Customer support promptly sen me a new mouse in retail package and did not ask for the old one back (whose scroll wheel did not work.)

Other Thoughts: If it did not break so much, I would give it a 5.

5 out of 5 eggsBest. Mouse. Ever.

Pros: What can I say? It's very comfortable, has a good weight to it, and has 11 buttons. Control music [iTunes, win amp, etc] without the app being in focus, launch your media player from the mouse, and surf back and forth on the web. Battery life is amazing [2 months or so] and the programmable buttons makes this thing a necessity.

Cons: Minor discoloration / logo wears off.

Other Thoughts: The USB Dock it comes with is a nice touch. No digging behind your machine to plug it in!

4 out of 5 eggsMedia Play Mouse

Pros: Awesome control capability on system from more than 20ft away.

Cons: You get the rundll.dw error after installing software but it was cleared up by running a registry fix application.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat concept, good in Linux, wish it was Bluetooth.

Pros: Media buttons are great. There is an excellent Linux driver that allows you to do just about anything you want with the kazillion buttons on this mouse. Also a nice mouse for everyday computing. Looks really cool. I like the size and shape.

Cons: Longer range would really improve it. My Bluetooth mouse has super-long range -- this mouse would be a Five-Egger with Bluetooth.
Doesn't track on all surfaces.

2 out of 5 eggsNeeds lots of work

Pros: Right out of the box it seems like a great products. It has 2 ways to connect to your pc, and lots of useful buttons. The weight and smotthness seem ok, and the shape is not bad in your hand. The pause and fast forward buttons are awesome, and I have yet to find another mouse with similar features.

Cons: This mouse died after about 6 months of use and only 2 battery changes. No clue as to why, the program still a mouse, even after several reinstalls. The software was a bit annoying to install, especially since it added yet ANOTHER media program that I didn't need. The location of the back button on the left side of the mouse just above the natural position for the thumb make it extrememly easy to hit accitdentlly, really annoying for first time users, everyone who's used that mouse had the same problems.

Other Thoughts: Great for XP Media Center users, especially those that watch TV and compute at the same time. Beware of the short lifespan of the mouse. Now I'm used to it and cant find anything comparible. I miss the pause button in the middle of the mouse.

3 out of 5 eggsNice idea but as a mouse it needs work.

Pros: Very long runtime from 2 x AA Batteries, can even run from only ONE AA (has internal voltage boost circuit). Plenty of buttons tied to the driver. Almost ambidexterous shape (except side buttons). Small but good range USB receiver, and it can connect on PS2 also but no adapter provided.

Cons: VERY heavy mouse (relative to mice, not relative to a dump truck), sluggish response. VERY, EXTREMELY, picky about mousing surface. No recharge cradle. Slick non-textured(so sticky/sweaty on long gaming sessions) plastic side surfaces. Wheel increments (notches) not prominent enough for fast precise use.

As a mouse it is only mediocre compared to Logitech's red LED or laser products for the past 5 years due to a different low-power optical sensing system than "almost" all their other mice use. (LX7 and a couple notebook mice use it too, IIRC but not any of their premier mice do). Even the pre-MX series is far superior. On the other hand if you compared it to a generic piece of junk mouse, it doesn't seem so bad at all but Logitech fans be warned, it's not what you'd expect in precision dept.

Other Thoughts: It's a nice idea, control your multimedia from the couch and it CAN do that, to a limited extent. Problem is it's supposed to be a mouse too and fails (worst Logitech mouse I've bought in years and I own most of them, really like most Logitech mice). Their invisible light optical system tracks worse than older mice unless the mousepad is perfect, otherwise precision is shot to hell contrary to what the specs suggest. It always lags a few milliseconds, an aggressive sleep mode is how the batteries last months. For lightest weight, use a single AAA cell and put a metal shim in, but expect only a week of runtime on a NiMH.

Do not buy it for a primary use mouse or gaming. Only have it as a secondary mouse that can do multimedia but if you're serious about multimedia, skip this and get a real multimedia remote instead. It's handy to have the features but think it was engineered a little too quickly, as a mouse it's inferior to 3 others sitting next to it and the top color wears off
