5 out of 5 eggsPlug and Jam

Pros: Plug and play. Thi is the great old standby headset from Logitech. Works fine, will last a long time. This is my third of this headset in 8-10 years.

Cons: Doesn't last forever, but lasts a long time for the price.

Other Thoughts: Shipped directly to my doorstep in the middle of nowhere Minnesota in 2 days from Illinois.

2 out of 5 eggsUncomfortable

Pros: -Good sound
-Good mic
-Good for small ears

Cons: Tiny ear cups that I can't wear for long periods of time without my ears being irritated because my ears stick out more then the company who made these expected.

Other Thoughts: These are good if you don't really use them much or just for calls because the mic is pretty good for the price but wearing them for hours is a bad idea if you don't make baby ears.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter For Gaming Then You Think

Pros: When my turtle beach headphones crapped out I needed some headphones with a good mic. Man I was not disappointed. The mic quality is amazing for a 40 dollar pair of headphones. I would have preferred that the they fully covered the ears but they are still very comfortable. The mic notice cancelation is amazing. My computer used to sound like a jet taking off but when in a Skype call or even recording my PC was not even audible. These things are also extremely durable. I have thrown them at the wall and they still work great. the ability to adjust the volume and mute the mic is also great. I can hear footsteps great in CSGO and gunshots in most games are good.

Cons: The only problem is the bass isn't really there. It is a small soundstage but that's what you get from closed ear headphones.

4 out of 5 eggsOn a budget, weekend gamer headset

Pros: I went through 2 pairs of these within a 6 year period of weekend gaming. They worked amazing over that time and only needed to be replaced after the ear pads became all flappy and gross. Great to wear on your neck and pump music through while you listen to vent/mumble/razer comms ect through speakers.

Cons: My biggest problem with these are when they are on your ears it doesnt take long before you want to throw them across the room. I still dont understand why any company makes these small ear pads. Im pretty sure my ears are oval not circles.

Other Thoughts: They last, they are cheap, they work great if on a budget. I have since upgraded to the razer kraken 7.1 series and regret spending so much $. I still have yet to find a headset i enjoy wearing on my ears.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Amazing

Pros: -Light weight
-Volume and mic-mute button on cord
-LONG cord
-Long lifetime
-Clear mic
-Plug 'n' play

Cons: It eventually died.

Other Thoughts: I had mine for about seven years. They worked perfectly up until a year ago. The cord got messed up and I had to tape it in a certain position. Six months ago, when ever you would move the rotating swivel thing, crackling could be heard over the mic. About two weeks ago, the mic stopped working completely.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Ive been thru 3 of these (They fail because I keep sitting on the wires)

But when i dont do that, they sound great
They are very reliable, but at first they are a tad tight, but over time they get more comfy....kinda like a new bed.

Cons: Newegg can go waaay lower on the price....

Other Thoughts: If only these things had wraparound ear pieces like the g930....

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Reasonable price. Comfortable to wear. Good sound quality. Nice cord length. USB all of the way.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I saw grumbles about the quality of these. I'm a weekend gamer and i've had zero problem with them when chatting online. Very happy with my purchase. They're comfortable to wear for a long night of binge gaming. Nice sound quality for their price.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again for myself or as a gift.

3 out of 5 eggsA title

Pros: Sound quality - 9/10 Music sounded ok,
Mic quality - 10/10 People said they could hear be better than my other headset (3.5mm connector).
Connecting and Setup - 10/10 Windows 7 quickly found and configured the headset with no help from me. Raidcall was a bit trickier but that's not the headset's fault.

Cons: Comfort - 0-10 The ear pads are so hard.. it felt like 2 rocks crushing my ears immediately after putting them on. Ears numbed after a few hours but couldn't wait to get them off. These are the only real issue I have with these, but its painful from start to finish.

Other Thoughts: I borrowed these from my roommate when my other headset broke, so these are my impressions from 1 day of use. Used during a raid.
Also, as I've said these were borrowed so I'm not sure how they are new but, the mic was a little wobbly/loose and the headband kept sliding. Something to watch for.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great after 3 full years

Pros: Durable, clear, volume/mute control and long cord.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Exactly 3 years ago I bought a pair of these for myself just to use for Skype. In that time I can't count the number of times I've dropped it on a hardwood floor or rolled over the cord with my chair.

I also have a couple of bad habits. I constantly remove the USB plug off by yanking the cord and then sideways instead of straight out because of the way my USB ports are located relative to me. I also tend to play with the cord while chatting by twisting and twirling it. So my headset takes a lot of abuse.

After 3 long years my Logitech model# 981-000014 headset is as clear and functional as the day I bought it. I would say that is money well spent.

2 months ago my longtime Skype buddy's bargain-budget single-ear cordless headset gave out so I bought him a pair from Newegg on Black Friday. The difference now in clarity is like night and day. His voice is 10x clearer and I can even pickup background noises which could be a minus so I have to turn down the volume.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For the price the headset was worth it.
Durability: Mine lasted for almost 2 years with rather common falls before the the audio quality got inconsistent without the cord being held in place. Be careful and the headset shouldn't have these problems
Sound Quality: Very well for the time that I have had it, only problems were caused due to dropping
Mic Quality: The microphone was good, quite background noise was never heard and the quality is great for the price.

Cons: Durability: If the headset is dropped consistently the audio quality gets quieter over time, one of the panels that concealed the wires got loose and fell out after the headset was sat on for a short period of time
Mic Quality: The microphone worked really well with my desktop but when used with my laptop it always had a buzzing noise in the background, talking or not.

Other Thoughts: Overall it was worth the price and should last longer than two years like mine did, just don't drop it a lot or sit on it accidentally and it should be fine
