best mouse for me to date
- Pros: It has excellent responsiveness and tracking. I have several Logitech mice and this is the best one I have used (vs. G5 and MX 518). Don't get me wrong, I love my other mice, but this mouse gives me the exact shape I need for how I hold a mouse. I can't really classify my hand style, but this one just feels more natural.
The next great thing is the lift off distance. One of my close friends swears by optical mice for gaming because they have a smaller lift off distance than laser mice. We both own MX 518's (in fact, I bought his for him), and they have really small lift off. I compared the lift off for my MX 518 with my G5 when I got it, and the difference is small, but it is there. The G9x beats the MX 518 by quite a bit, it never misses tracking because the lift off is small either.
One last thing, I really like the material for the wide grip. It's like the MX 518, but not so cheap and a bit smoother and softer.
- Cons: The middle mouse wheel is just a tad harder to push than on the G5 and MX 518, but not hard, more so just a bit less easy. The bottom is also really really shiny and holds fingerprints for a long time, but you never really have to look at it unless you want to change the profile or the scroll wheel style, but I don't see myself doing that pretty much ever, but nice to know I can. I also don't care too much for the placement of the DPI switch, its not like it's in an inconvenient place, I just like having it in line with the scroll wheel like the G5, but that is because I'm used to my G5.
My biggest con is the placement of the cord into the mouse. I don't mean the cord being in the front, because every mouse is that way. What I mean is that the cord needs to connect about 1 to 2 millimeters higher, like on the G5 and MX 518. I feel that if I'm not careful and adjust it every so often, it's going to start rubbing my mouse pad and cause a short or something to that effect.
- Other Thoughts: I had to buy it at Best Buy because newegg is always out.
I kinda wish the precision grip was a bit more comfortable. Basically, I want a wide grip made from precision grip material since it resembles the G5 material. Once you wear in the wide grip though, it's all good.
Awesome as usual, Logitech
- Pros: Extremely smooth movement across your desktop. Like butter over oil. lol
- Cons: None I can find so far.
- Other Thoughts: I owned the G9, got this one early from some guy on that big auction site that got ahold of 2 of them. It's all the same goodness from the first one, amplified. Smooth movement, multiple grips, customizable weights, game and productivity profiles, on-the-fly DPI change, etc. Feels great in my hand. Might be a bit small for people that are used to devices like the ones from Razer. (big)

Great Gaming Mouse
- Pros: Great gaming mouse. Gives you lots of settings and the on board memory is awesome. The weights are a nice touch. Being able to adjust to your own individual liking. Easy setup and really nothing bad to say about this mouse.
- Cons: Only thing is maybe price but you get what you pay for a great mouse. So not really a con but may be for some.
- Other Thoughts: If you want a great gaming mouse don't even think about it just buy it. You will be happy that you did.
