4 out of 5 eggsReally awesome mouse, but minor flaws

Pros: Great looking mouse. In my opinion it's the best looking PC mouse logitech has ever made. Not as as round and whale-like as their new gaming mouses and much more modern looking. Has a simple and comfortable button layout, nice click feel, and amazing precision.

Cons: After about 2 years the scroll wheel started to become intermittent. I had to open the mouse and clean the wheel sensor. Seemed to fix the problem for a short while but now it's started doing it again. Two of the lights that show the level of sensitivity also burned out after about 2.5 years.

Other Thoughts: Still works great minus the scroll wheel. Wish the lights still worked as well, but it's not a huge deal.

1 out of 5 eggsFirst and last logitech product

Pros: Has a good feel to it.

Cons: Left click button failed; after minimal usage.

Other Thoughts: I have cheap mice, many years old, with heavy usage that are still going strong. I definitely did not get my money's worth from this overpriced piece of junk.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Time and Money

Pros: when it works it works well; everything you would expect from a quality gaming mouse.

Cons: I started having problems with this mouse well before it's one year anniversary, primarily double clicking and that has been a problem I've had with all Logitech mice I've ever used. It doesn't matter how well the mouse works in other aspects when it starts double clicking it isn't worth a dang.
Oh, almost forgot to mention that this gaming mouse just stops working in the middle of many games; I can audibly hear it disconnecting from the USB and then reconnecting when it feels like it.

Other Thoughts: I highly doubt that I will ever buy another Logitech mouse ever again. Always looks good on paper, but rarely lasts more than a year. Tired of paying top dollar for mice that don't last. And then you have to deal with customer service; did you do this and that - I mean com'on a user shouldn't have to constantly tweak mouse sensitivity settings and reset USB connections. And I suppose Logitech must have gotten a lot of complaints against this mouse; when I noticed that "newegg" doesn't carry the G9X I did a quick check on "Logitech" and sure enough they don't make it any more.
I purchased the G9X to replace a G9, which was not only the best Logitech mouse I ever owned, but the best mouse I ever owned; it performed flawlessly for almost, very close to, but not quite, three years. One would assume the G9X to be an improved G9, but not the case, at all. The G9X has proven to be an undependable piece of high priced garbage which started to show signs of not being dependable after only three months. I suppose writing this review now is a waste of time, but I have been so upset with the overall lack of performance of this mouse that I had to write something somewhere. I seriously doubt I waste my money on a "Logitech" mouse every again.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat feel

Pros: Ive used many mice in my day and this one is probably my favorite.

Cons: my only issue with this mouse was the adjustable mouse wheel. It allows you to put it in a free-spinning mode and back to a one click type of scroll. Don't use this feature and you will be fine. I played around with the unrestricted scroll (virtually useless unless for some specific weird thing you would need to scroll so quickly) and eventually it broke and would not go back to the controlled scroll thus making the mouse pretty useless. Good thing its a Logitech product and i had no issues receiving a brand new mouse witch i have not used the scroll feature for and is working great.

Other Thoughts: I don't think one of those fabric mouse pads would be good for this mouse. I use a razer sphex it is on of those flat hard textured mouse pads and it works great with the feet on this mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsMe likes

Pros: Does mouse things, lots of customizing available.

Cons: It hasn't died after 2 years?

Other Thoughts: Mouse wheel hasn't clogged like my other mice.. You don't want to know what causes the clogs... The cases for it give you good options for had size. Weights help too if you prefer them. I added the highest amount due to my Sasquatch hands... The way it is going it will last another 2 years and be added to my collection of old goodies.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Being able to customize the weight of the mouse and have an interchangeable grip is simply amazing. The on the fly sensitivity on the mouse is awesome too. I've had this mouse for over a year now and I use it primarily for gaming and it has worked flawlessly since day 1. My previous gaming mouse of a very reputable brand stopped working after about 6 months of light use, but this one has gotten more use and has held up very well. I also have smaller size hands so the smaller attachment for it was a perfect fit for me. It has a long braided cable that works well if your tower is a little further away but if you don't want to go wireless.

Cons: None that I have noticed so far.

2 out of 5 eggsWish i'd listened to the lower reviews

Pros: Changeable grips and weights though i should mention i've only ever used the textured "claw" grip, the other one gets way too sweaty. And i've only left default weights in there, i don't really care. Things like the censor and actual working buttons are far more important when it comes to finding a decent mouse.

Cons: Honestly should've listened to the lower reviews. 2 buttons stopped working, 1 side button and 1 DPI button. Middle button is garbage from the beginning, then actually broke on me. Again, i wish i'd listened to the reviews. Way too hard to click, and you'll never use the "push scroll wheel left or right" buttons because they are hard to push in, and one is way easier than the other causing accidental button hits so i've always kept them off. After a year or so, the scrolling tactile just stopped responding properly. So with dpi buttons not responding and 1 side button not working, and the scrolling being already hard but now unusable, i seriously recommend you look into something else. Maybe a different series, personally i'm done with logitech products.

Other Thoughts: Precision is listed as "decent" on many review sites. For this price you can find something much better than this, unless you actually care about changing the weight.
