5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Highly customizable, Reacts very well to even the slightest movements. Even being able to customize the led coloring to match my keyboard is a cool, nonessential, treat. The material the mouse is made out of is very pleasing and easy to grip. I've really enjoyed the gaming time with this mouse so far, 10/10 would click again

Came quickly as per usual with newegg. As always pleased with neweggs shipping!

Cons: No big complaints so far, wish there were more dpi settings but thats pretty much it.

Other Thoughts: at $80 (the price I bought the mouse at) I believe i got an amazing deal. This mouse is one of the best out on the market. $150 for a mouse is a little highly priced imo, but seeing as you are going to be holding the mouse for hundreds of hours the extra cash will be worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing mouse!

Pros: Everything a out this mouse is amazing. The option if having different profiles for different situations is genius. With the weights that come with the mouse allowed me to choose what feels best. Plus, the 2 mouse covers are great. I personally like the rough one because the mouse doesn't slip while gaming.

Cons: After about 1 month if use, the mouse covers got a bit loose on the mouse and would really annoy me. I just took a little piece of tape and put it under the mouse cover and I have no problems 2 years later.

Other Thoughts: This mouse is $180?!?!? When I bought it in 2012 it was $80. Hmm idk but don't let the price drive you away, it's the best house I have ever owned.

4 out of 5 eggsA Gamer's Workhorse

Pros: - Adjustable weights.
- Adjustable dpi on the fly
- Plug it in, and it works right away.
- Sleek Software

Cons: -Not enough mappable keys.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this mouse for a while, in tandem with the MX Revolution. They're both great for what they do. After all this time (2 years) of gaming, not one fault has come up.

One note, though. Though all of the keys can be remapped, only two are usable as macro keys. For MMO gaming, or piloting, that may not be enough. They could have added more buttons to the mouse to keep it competitive with say...Razer. But it's only a small gripe.

2 out of 5 eggsDeceptively fragile for the price

Pros: Comes with a variety of weights to customized the feel, works well on a variety of surfaces, on the fly DPI change. Warranty service was relatively easy.

Cons: Stiff cord, lasted a year and 3 months of normal use before disconnecting repeatedly whenever the mouse was moved perpendicularly to the cord.

Other Thoughts: I bought this model as a replacement for a G400 because it looked much sturdier (The G400 also had the disconnection issue) and the cord was stiffer. While it did last longer than the G400 it also eventually started having the same problems. Logitech replaced this mouse for me under warranty with the G400S (an updated G400 which looked like it was supposed to fix some flaws) but that replacement has also started having the same problems after only 6 months. If you buy these mice you should probably take strides towards keeping the cord where it enters the mouse from bending at all.

5 out of 5 eggsClassic feel that doesn't disappoint

Pros: Just a solid built mouse that has exactly what you need. Not too going on, not too little. Great response, great feel, custom weights let me weigh it down how I like, sturdy design, easy to clean. Still working great.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsExtremely Dissapointed

Pros: Good Grip and configuration capability. Software is easy to use out of the box

Cons: Lasted 1 year before having trouble. Mouse Wheel stopped registering input half the time. Cord coming out of the mouse started shorting out and the slightest movement causes it to blitz out. Clicking gets stuck on/off.

Extremely delicate device for a gamer's mouse even when it's babied.

Other Thoughts: I am severely disappointed in this product. I bought it on 4/2/2013 and only 1 single year later its causing issues. I owned 2 microsoft intelipoint mice which were laser mice and they each lasted 5 years and cost around 60$. I heard good things about Logitech from friends and decided to branch out and I regret it completely. A mouse designed for gaming should at least be able to stand up to a few years of use.

It can also be noted I baby my equipment. I do not slam my mouse down I use a mouse pad and clean it regularly.

This mouse completely failed after 1 single year of moderate use and I cannot believe I'm down all this money. I really hoped Logitech would of been able to make a more solid gaming mouse then this.

I doubt I'll recommend this brand or device to any of my friends, relatives or coworkers if this is the type of durability in the products they offer.

4 out of 5 eggsReally awesome mouse, but minor flaws

Pros: Great looking mouse. In my opinion it's the best looking PC mouse logitech has ever made. Not as as round and whale-like as their new gaming mouses and much more modern looking. Has a simple and comfortable button layout, nice click feel, and amazing precision.

Cons: After about 2 years the scroll wheel started to become intermittent. I had to open the mouse and clean the wheel sensor. Seemed to fix the problem for a short while but now it's started doing it again. Two of the lights that show the level of sensitivity also burned out after about 2.5 years.

Other Thoughts: Still works great minus the scroll wheel. Wish the lights still worked as well, but it's not a huge deal.

1 out of 5 eggsFirst and last logitech product

Pros: Has a good feel to it.

Cons: Left click button failed; after minimal usage.

Other Thoughts: I have cheap mice, many years old, with heavy usage that are still going strong. I definitely did not get my money's worth from this overpriced piece of junk.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Time and Money

Pros: when it works it works well; everything you would expect from a quality gaming mouse.

Cons: I started having problems with this mouse well before it's one year anniversary, primarily double clicking and that has been a problem I've had with all Logitech mice I've ever used. It doesn't matter how well the mouse works in other aspects when it starts double clicking it isn't worth a dang.
Oh, almost forgot to mention that this gaming mouse just stops working in the middle of many games; I can audibly hear it disconnecting from the USB and then reconnecting when it feels like it.

Other Thoughts: I highly doubt that I will ever buy another Logitech mouse ever again. Always looks good on paper, but rarely lasts more than a year. Tired of paying top dollar for mice that don't last. And then you have to deal with customer service; did you do this and that - I mean com'on a user shouldn't have to constantly tweak mouse sensitivity settings and reset USB connections. And I suppose Logitech must have gotten a lot of complaints against this mouse; when I noticed that "newegg" doesn't carry the G9X I did a quick check on "Logitech" and sure enough they don't make it any more.
I purchased the G9X to replace a G9, which was not only the best Logitech mouse I ever owned, but the best mouse I ever owned; it performed flawlessly for almost, very close to, but not quite, three years. One would assume the G9X to be an improved G9, but not the case, at all. The G9X has proven to be an undependable piece of high priced garbage which started to show signs of not being dependable after only three months. I suppose writing this review now is a waste of time, but I have been so upset with the overall lack of performance of this mouse that I had to write something somewhere. I seriously doubt I waste my money on a "Logitech" mouse every again.

5 out of 5 eggsBest

Pros: This is the best mouse I ever owned, reliable, predictable, never got mad at it...Well worth the money.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Get the good stuff. This mouse is the good stuff.
