  • newegg 7.1 Surround Sound The G35 is powered by second-generation Dolby Headphone technology that processes 7.1 surround sound, so you can hear your music, movies and games the way developers intended them to be.
  • newegg Hear and be Heard Clearly With an ear-enclosing design, the G35 reduces annoying ambient noise from interfering with your entertainment, while an adjustable, noise-canceling microphone focuses on your voice and reduces background noise for clear, intelligible voice commands. The rotating microphone boom swings out of the way and mutes the mic without you touching anything.
  • newegg Maximum Comfort The G35 comes with three swappable headbands so you can select the style that fits your head best.
  • newegg Real-time Voice Morphing With the included software, change the pitch and timbre of your voice using one of six presets that can morph your voice to a Troll, Mutant, Alien, Giant, Cyborg, or Space Squirrel.
  • newegg Quick Access Audio Controls The G35 features three customizable G-keys on the left earpiece for one-touch command over voice morphing. Additional on-ear audio controls provide quick access to volume, microphone mute and surround sound adjustments.
  • newegg USB Connection The G35 features a USB connector for the ultimate plug-and-play convenience. Just connect the headset to your computer and you are ready to go!

3 out of 5 eggsGood sound, with some baggage

Pros: Great sound, fits nicely and can adjust the fit, mic quality seems good from what I can tell, mic mute function is convenient (lift/retract mic to mute), seems like it is built nicely, which is expected for Logitech gaming equipment

Cons: Constant disconnect issues that I have had since I got it, which are as of right now all over forums and Logitech community support posts, and the only responses from the manufacturer I see are "general USB Troubleshooting" type responses. For these reasons the egg rating went from "5" to "3"

Other Thoughts: I own several Logitech products, and in general I am happy with their build quality and construction. However, I searched the Logitech support forums because I was having an issue with my G35 headset I bought in Jan 2015 which resulted in constant USB connecting and disconnecting sounds from the operating system (and the headset would then disconnect and reconnect) when I opened games, voice programs, opened and clicked menus in games, or even used the "Voice Echo" feature in the Logitech gaming software, etc. I could not solve it through general troubleshooting (check for and install latest drivers, try different USB ports (USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, check and install latest Logitech gaming software, check all settings, etc.). The only responses from the manufacturer to the posters in their forums I saw were "General USB Troubleshooting Tips", which in my opinion is not really accepting that there may be a problem with the headset. Since I had no idea it was a common issue till I searched online, I think it is likely a design flaw in either the headset's connection design itself, or the gaming software you have to download/install to use the headset. I'm guessing the gaming software because my G502 gaming mouse from Logitech also has done strange things while connected (which also uses the new Logitech gaming software coincidentally), yet no other USB devices I own have any issues, including the G27 racing wheel, also from Logitech, which I own but uses an older edition/version of their gaming software, so I am not shocked it works fine. The two different types of gaming software are not the same, and the new one will not uninstall or replace the old version, as the racing wheel needs the older one to run (I tried using the new version since it was already installed and would detect newly installed Logitech devices, but it would not detect the wheel). The ONLY solution I have found, for anyone who is thinking of buying this, which I have NOT tested a million times but did work, is shutting down the computer, connecting the headset with the computer off, and then booting up without disconnecting the headset. When I did that, the headset did not disconnect, and would stay connected through multiple (10-15+) gaming sessions with the computer still running. Disconnecting or reconnecting it, will trigger the issue, if PC is on.
Usually when I see a complaint in a review, I can often tell that the person has limited experience with computers or obviously mismatched parts that don't work together or something, but my computer should exceed all the requirements for all the devices I have.

Be aware that you may have to troubleshoot this issue if you buy the headset, or it may not happen. That's just a risk you take.

3 out of 5 eggsNot a Solid Invesment

Pros: Excellent audio output made for engaging video gaming, and the audio input was crisp and clear, so long as you record in a generally quiet environment.

Cons: The headband and earpiece covering material began flaking and falling off after only a few weeks, and the USB started having issues about a few months in. Even when tested on multiple ports, on multiple devices, jostling the USB lightly would completely interrupt the device and require refreshing on the device's end, or unplugging and plugging back in on the headset's. After roughly a year, the right earpiece snapped off (wiring still intact), and any hope of reattachment was squashed when it stopped working entirely.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to buy this product, understand that it's a glass cannon. It performs admirably, but it won't last long. It's just not a solid investment.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this headset!

Pros: Good sound, simulated 7.1 surround works well, G keys are nice. The mic is okay but kind of tinny. Not much else good to say.

Cons: Oh boy, where do I start? The braided cord is pretty sub-par, it's stuff as solid copper wire, and will always retain the bends in it from being wrapped up. It also tends to get tangled quite easily. Now, I actually owned this headset twice (second was a replacement), and both times the cuffs broke off after less than a year. The faux leather pads began peeling off quite badly after a few months. Overall the headset feels very cheaply made, which is not to be expected given the price. Oh, and it's not particularly comfortable either, especially if you have a somewhat narrow head. The headband just ends up resting on your head.

Other Thoughts: Seriously, don't buy this. There are other headsets with most of the features of this one, including 7.1 surround, but with better build quality and cloth ear pads, which are a must for comfort in my opinion. I've owned one of these alternatives for over a year now and have not been disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsMy Favorite Headset!

Pros: Comfortable, somewhat compact, excellent build quality, decent sound isolation, amazing sound quality and excellent features.

Cons: Faux leather pads on the ear cups, faux leather pad on top tends to allow headset to slide off easily, not that loud.

3 out of 5 eggswas working...

Pros: sound is good -read below
mic is good - read below

Cons: .....
left headphone making this high pitched noise when the mic is on.
sound is not very loud..had to keep my 50$ headset at half way in the sounds options because it could play loud but this thing....its so quite for no reason.

Other Thoughts: already replaced this headset the day i got it. i got it replaced for the high pitch noise coming from the left earphone when the mic is on and your in vent, skype or even the recording tab..... i guess as it seems....that ALL OF THEM DO It. for 130$? a 10$ headset is more reilable had to wait 18 days just for my replacement and guess what its doing the same thing....great quality control this headset has.

4 out of 5 eggsBroke in about a year

Pros: Good sound and microphone quality.
Software is great for customization.

Cons: After about a year, the left earpiece snapped off. The connector is very small and flimsy.

The ear padding started to flake after a week. Very annoying to have to clean up and pick pieces off of your face.

Other Thoughts: Despite the shaddy earpiece foam, I've ordered a new pair to replace my old ones. Despite breaking, theyve survived being dropped, tripped on, and packed in multiple suitcases, so it was bound to happen. I'll simply peel the black stuff off the foam this time.

Also, the mic is really great on this headset. While I wait for a new one, I have the broken set sitting on the desk near the monitor because the mic still works, and picks up my voice fantastically despite not being near my face.
