4 out of 5 eggs8.5 out of 10. 4 YEARS and going, Worth it if its on sale.

Pros: -DURABLE, dropped it probably 20+ times and still working good.
-ON THE FLY SOUND ADJUSTMENT on the side of the headphone has proven very very useful to me in any game whether it be fps, rpg, single player, even when watching videos or chatting
-GOOD SOUND QUALITY, it is pretty much all you need for competitive gaming, you can hear footsteps very well, directional sounds are good, this headset is reliable when playing competitively
-QUICK MUTING, i like how you can mute if you just push the mic stick up
-OVERALL, not bad for competitive use.

Cons: -GETS SWEATY if you're playing in a hot room, these can get really sweaty
-LEATHER TEAR, after 3 years or so, (3000-4000 hours of use) the leather starts to tear away
-USB CONNECTOR, i would categorize this as a con because my sound card doesn't support usb connect, only 3.5 jack. So i gotta have something to change the 3.5 into a usb in order to connect.
-MESSES UP YOUR HAIR, if you use this after you've showered, or if you have a lot of hair, it will make dents on your hair after some time, if you don't mind this, sure go for it, also if you're bald, it's cool.
-OVERALL, these cons can be overlooked if its only for home use

Other Thoughts: -BLOCKS OUTSIDE NOISE so you don't hear much noise going around you where you're playing
-MIC QUALITY SOSO, isn't the best compared to semi-professional microphones, but if its only for gaming use, doesn't matter
-7.1???? when i've tested it, using some creative labs 7.1 channel testing program that I got with my sound card and also testing using sound testers online, i heard no very little difference in some of the locational sounds in which a 7.1 setup would clearly distinguish the differences.
-COMFORT?, not the most comfortable headset for everyone. I got used to it and I like it but for some, it may be too heavy, stiff, and tight. My wife doesn't like these headphones much, it isn't for casual use, get lighter and non-leather headphones for casual use.
-OVERALL, I would probably not buy a second pair of these. I would probably spend an extra 100-150$ on better 7.1 quality sets that are not USB connectors. I would also try and find something a little more comfortable and with a better software program along with it. It would be nice to have a better mic quality as well.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The sound is excellent, My buddy went through a razer headset as well as a turtle beach head set due to driver issues and i am still using the same headset.

Cons: The mic, sometimes it gets this high pitched sound, not sure if its sound card or the head set itself. Also, after about 6 months the mic would no longer stay up, Its fine because i pretty much always use my mic but it can be bothersome.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor materials

Pros: Comfortable fit. Good sound quality.

Cons: The black vinyl material on the earpads and top headpad flaked off after a year. Google it and it seems to be a systemic problem with the G35 headset. I just peeled it all off and kept going, but what a mess. Very disappointing for that to happen.

Other Thoughts: Logitech normally makes good stuff

2 out of 5 eggsBrittle Design

Pros: This product has beautiful surround sound! I could tell where every single shot came from! The mic is decent as well. The little voice morph thing is funny sometimes. The leather padding is comfortable and it didn't crush my big head.

Cons: The construction of this product is quit bad though. With my first one, the pivot snapped from barely any strain over 4 months, I received no refund as well. With my second copy the same area of plastic broke. The surround was staticky using a certain version of the program.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend getting this product, hopefully my Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2's won't break from when I receive them and the future.

1 out of 5 eggsNice headset but just keeps breaking

Pros: The sound is very good. The mic works fine.

Cons: The right side of the set keeps breaking on its weakest connection. This is a design failure. I have the G35 now for 4 months and love it but can trash it since it became unusable. This is my 2nd G35 and also broke down within 6 months. My suggestion is to stay away until Logitech fixes this problem.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Driver support

Pros: Sound Quality is fantastic. Crisp and clear with some interesting functionality.

Cons: Random white noise blasts through speakers. Deafening static at full volume with no indicator of when it will happen. Logitec really dropped the ball here. This issue is well know by the developers since around 2010. I have tried everything suggested to fix the issue but nothing helps. Wasted $100 on these and I am very displeased. Do a google search for G35 static and read up on these before you buy!

Other Thoughts: The deafening static can be fun while playing a horror game! Turning that last corner where you are certain that face eating monster is hiding behind, then *SKERSHHHHH* will certainly make you jump from you seat.

3 out of 5 eggsdurability

Pros: great headset, havent bought another one.

when broken most headsets stop working , this headset still works on the one side, so its a great build , specially the way it still works even after having one of the speakers broken completely off

Cons: the build isnt all that durable. the cord kept getting caught by the wheels of my chair and pulled to the floor , not to mention tripping on the wire , ittend to finds it way to grab my feet or other objects achoring it , while this can be avoided , after getting pulled by said items, the right speaker broke off. and now i am using it with only speaker

Other Thoughts: bought this head set to replace the wireless one, sense the wireless one kept on getting electrical interferance causing it cut out eery five second, i love this headset but the clips on the inside need to be stronger
