5 out of 5 eggsGreat wheel and pedal setup

Pros: This logitech racing wheel has amazing force feedback that just needs a little tweaking on the user end to be perfect. The software driver for it allows custom game settings to be saved so whenever that specific game .exe is run, the wheel will automatically load that game's specific settings.

Cons: The wheel itself is smaller than a standard wheel but that was known going into this purchase. No handbreak sold with this setup which makes it lacking in a few game/racing situations.

Other Thoughts: Love the wheel and pedal setup logitech offers with this product. The only thing I would recommend if you plan to use this in games such as Drift 3 - get a handbreak.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good Wheel

Pros: very good quality to the build of the product, if you are looking at the Driving Force wheels i would recommend this product over them.

Cons: Been out for some time now, would have wished to seen a refresh of this product by now, like with load cells pedals.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat entry level wheel.

Pros: Great wheel with great tracking. The most minor input is detected on the wheel (no dead spot) which leads to better car control overall. The pedals are the best I've ever used in this price range.

Cons: The shifter leaves a ton to be desired. Throws between gears are to long and its easy to shift from 2nd to 5th on accident. I've noticed after several days of playing that every great once in a while i have to put it in the gear I want twice in order for it to register and this is costly on the track. The shifter is no reason to remove an egg in the rating.

Other Thoughts: I use a different shifter, one I like much better from another manufacturer. I just unplugged this one and stored it for future use if need be. I race at iracing and this wheel is the standard for most racers. It's cheaper than the competitors but built like a tank. I used a MOMO wheel for several years until I was ready to upgrade and the price was right. You could spend more money on a different brand but those wheels wont do anything more than this one to help you win races. I don't suspect I'll need to replace this one anytime soon but if I do I will definitely repurchase. The pedals are fantastic and I wish they plugged directly into the PC via a USB cable but they do not. They plug into the back of the wheel. You wont be able to use these pedals with another wheel properly (You could plug both wheels in and just set this wheel aside if you wanted to use the pedals but some people may encounter hardware conflicts). For a stand alone unit for any racing application you simply cant go wrong here. The shifter is fine if you are a casual user. As always Newegg is the best with fast secure shipping and some of the best prices online!

One last note: this will mount to a wide variety of desks and table tops with the supplied screw down clamps which is great for the casual user. If you plan to use this wheel a lot, buy a racing chair or mount directly to your desk with bolts. They are not supplied but the wheel, shifter, and pedals all have threaded holes in order for them to be tightened down for permanent placement. In my case this is a must because several hours of pumping the brake and gas and turning on the wheel will require regular tightening of the clamps.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed...

Pros: Great feel
Great realism
Sturdy
Good Quality

Cons: Defective products get shipped frequently apparently
Takes time to set up

Nothing more than that really

See other thoughts for issues and the reason why its a low egg

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, mine came defective. In the profile that you install to use this item, there is a section for the clutch to be tested, it reads like a speed-o-meter, left means not pressed, all the way to the right means the pedal is pressed all the way down.

Simple right? Well its not when it doesnt work. Right out of the box, the clutch was already defective. The profiler didnt recognize a clutch. Instead, it showed the meter all the way as if it was pressed down completely. Tried several things in different games to make it work and nothing.

Another note on the profile didnt quite recognize the other buttons, most of them, and the shifter correctly either.

The shifter set to 1st gear was picking up as 5th gear. 2nd gear was 6th gear.

Some of the extra buttons were not recognized correctly.

All in all, this had more problems that it had use. Spent a week using it as is, horrible feeling to it, spent another 2 days fiddling with the settings trying to resolve the clutch and other issues.

I recommend it, but you'd have to be really lucky to get a perfect unit that will work properly right away.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a dream for iracing

Pros: Love it, I haven't had a problem at all. Nice and solid, wheel feels like your really holding a wheel. The force feedback wears me out some nights but I add that to the simulation. Of course you can turn it off but why would you

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat wheel, lots of fun

Pros: Well constructed, looks and feels real good, great force feedback, supported in almost all games

Cons: Lots of wires, really need a dedicated stand to make the most out of it.

Other Thoughts: I use the wheel in several games, including Assetto Corsa, Euro Truck Simulator 2, F1 2013 and GT6. It works equally well on both the PC and the PS3. The rim is real leather, and everything about the wheel and pedals feel high quality. The force feedback is plenty strong and works as well as the game is programmed to use it. The H-shifter works well, and once you get used to notching it in to each gear, it is almost like shifting a real car or truck, lots of fun in Euro Truck Sim 2.

The only complaint I have is just inherent to the design; everything needs to be connect together, so of course there a lot of cables to deal with. You also really need a dedicated stand or cockpit; I mount it to the desk when I want to use it and it is a real pain. On the other hand, the clamps on the wheel and shifter work really well, and the carpet spikes on the pedals do a great job of holding them in place. I will be building a custom sim cockpit eventually, and will get a lot more use out of them then.

5 out of 5 eggsgood with minor problems

Pros: I got this in 2011 to play gt5 and it worked great on the ps3 and recently I started using it on pc and steam recognized it with ease. the flappy padels work well and the shifting is a breeze. the pedaks have a ccarpet stoper so it doesnt slide. stearing with force feedback fells great and reduces sound as well.

Cons: the stearing wheel buttons didnt all recognize the left side was one button and vice versa when there are 3 on each side. it does a force feedback test before you can use it and it gets anoying.
