4 out of 5 eggssolid mouse

Pros: Fits my big hands. Great button placement. Wireless is good while battery last. Good price for 4-5years of hard gaming use.

Cons: Short battery life when gaming hard. The left click on mine has wore out and double clicks or just straight un-clicks while im holding it down. It did hold up for 4years before this became a problem, now into the 5th year the left click it almost completely unusable unless i smash both right/left clicks hard at the same time, multiple times, and it only works for 20-30mins then back to its old ways.

Other Thoughts: I bought a g700s for my laptop awhile back, its holding up well traveling and at work. Infact im buying another soon to replace this old worn out g700. These mice are great, its true only flaw is the limited battery life while gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic (Bought as Replacement)

Pros: - Surprisingly good battery life (included) from a third party vendor
- Great versatility with wired/wireless capability
- Fully adjustable and customizable button layout with (option of) multiple profiles (see Logitech software)
- Works out of the box, battery included

Cons: (from replaced mouse)
- Non-stick/sliding pads on bottom surface of the mouse may become damaged (upon repair) or loose, and catch on mousepad
- Scroll-click (or middle-click) is not impervious to falling (replaced mouse), still functions but no tactile response (no vertical scroll-wheel travel)

Other Thoughts: Product has a graphic design, which I was not aware of upon purchasing.

1 out of 5 eggsI'll shop elsewhere

Pros: - I am familiar with the mouse, it works well. My last one finally gave out after several years of use.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: I ordered this from Corn Electronics through Newegg on the 24th of February. Never got a relevant tracking number despite trying to contact the seller three separate times. Box finally showed up on March 9th from A.mazon. Also the product I received was not the G700, but the G700S. I could have saved $10 by going to the other site myself and ordering the G700S. Good product, but don't order from Corn Electronics.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost 5 years later and it's still going strong

Pros: Multiple DPI profiles changeable with a button on the mouse, plenty of buttons, bought it on 1/28/2011 and it still works great to this day.

Cons: Very short battery life, making it best used as a wired mouse.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse near the end of January 2011, so it's now almost five years old, and it still works as good as the day I bought it. It works great for everything I've used it for, from internet and Microsoft Office to gaming. I do wish the battery life was much better than it is, but I've made due with just using it as a wired mouse.

2 out of 5 eggsG4 Button Broke Twice

Pros: I love everything about this mouse, its the best Ive ever owned especially given its wireless capability which is the main reason I bought it. Everything else is just supplemental awesome-ness. Except for the con...

Cons: The G4 button broke after only a few months of daily usage. I use this button to display a map during a particular game and looking at this map is a must for situation awareness, thus it gets used A LOT.

Being out of warranty I managed to pick up another online for cheap that had the corroded micro contact issue which I repaired. About 3-4 months later the G4 button broke again.

Internally the G5 and G4 are the same piece of plastic but the G5 part is the one thats connected to the body of the mouse while the G4 kind of "floats" around its contact. After extended use the thin strip of plastic that connects the two breaks and the G4 button is not longer solid whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Will I continue to use the mouse and map a different button although it wont be nearly as convenient. Maybe.

4 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: Smooth fluid movement

Cons: If wireless, the battery is too short. They really should have gone with a 2 battery system, but I run this as wired so I don't have any issues with that.

Other Thoughts: I have had many mice over the years, Razor, Logitech, ect... and I have to say this is my favorite I have owned. Granted that the wireless sucks on it, I run it wired so i don't worry about the battery life. The battery for me just adds a little weight for me.

I have had this mouse for over 2 years and love it. I see all these people having issues, but fortunately I can say I have had no experiences like they have and I am a heavy gamer. Maybe there is outside factors that caused issues for them, who knows. I do recommend this to others that are looking for a pretty cheap mouse that works great for gaming.

3 out of 5 eggsFantastic when it worked - BUTTONS!!!

Pros: Great feel and Response, fantastic placement of buttons and several profiles to set up different sensitivity for.
Oh, and BUTTONS! 4 Thumb buttons and 4 index finger buttons... AWESOME!

Cons: The right mouse button started wearing out after 1 year of moderate use.
I first noticed issues when right clicking to aim in Borderlands 2 and Zero was SPAMMING the aim for his weapon.
Still works great for office work, but it's utterly worthless as a gaming mouse... Er, except for adventure games.

It is, apparently, a WELL documented issue with this model. Something to do with poor placement of the right button pad and poor materials for the rubber receptor-thing.

Other Thoughts: I've relegated this "GAMING" mouse to the office applications ONLY pile and purchased a refurbished G9, it's still one of the best gaming mice I've ever owned.
I'd be wary to drop another $100 on a Logitech "gaming" mouse

2 out of 5 eggsBattery Life is Pathetic

Pros: Good gaming mouse
Lots of buttons and customizations

Cons: Quite possibly one of the worst mice I've ever owned. The battery life is beyond ridiculous. I cannot go more than two hours on a charge (yes, I've put in NEW rechargeable batts). I've had cheap MS gaming mice that last for days and still run perfectly fine.

Why call it a wireless mouse if you must keep a USB cord plugged in all the time?

It does great for games, etc, but I spent the money on a WIRELESS product, not a wired.

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: -Smooth

Cons: -Left button failed
-Corded mode is horrible for gaming because of cord thickness.

Other Thoughts: I used this mouse for probably 6mo to a year. I enjoyed it while it worked properly. The left mouse button had a double click issue. When click and holding, it would register a double click. You can see how this would be annoying for click and dragging. Every time you click to drag a file, it opens the file. Super annoying. Logitech did replace my mouse but by the time i got the replacement, I had moved to the Kone XTD and i won't be going back.
