My built-in webcam was very choppy and unusable even with current drivers. This cam is great! Integrated with Skype very easily, and can follow my head while I move around and talk! Cons: Overruns my Afghanistan internet connection pretty easily, haha! I don't really care for how it "mounts" to my laptop (using leverage). A simpler design would've been more intuitive. Good thing I'm not too ugly xD Great look - When inactive the Blue LEDS are off. The Microphone picks up my voice nice + clear, just like my 200 dollar headset. Pros: On-chip MJPEG compression Clear stereo audio Many frame sizes to choose from Full 1080p video Focusable high quality Carl Zeiss Tessar optics 60 fps available in a few frame sizes in MJPEG mode Briliant design, sturdy and robust. UVC 1.0 compliant camera works perfectly in linux Cons: The infinity focus is not quite perfect, but if you are closer than 5 feet this camera will focus with incredible clarity. Cons: USB cable wasn't long enough. Other Thoughts: Bought this to install for my school to take photos for IDs and it works well. In low lighting the difference between my laptop's built-in cam and this is literally night and day. Auto-focus and face tracking with auto zoom is cool. Cons: The base could be designed better for securely mounting to a flat panel monitor. Other Thoughts: All around great webcam. eze 4/3/2012 4:20:54 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 4/5Good Webcam, Good Drivers, Poor Software Pros: HD Quality Autofocus Looks Cool Works well w/ skype and other clients Good Drivers Cons: Software is terrible 1) Auto-starts even when you tell it not to 2) Fails to remember certain settings 3) When recording, it can't detect my microphone, while the drivers of the webcam CAN, and so can every single other software that uses both webcam/mic, so all my videos that I wanted to record have no sound and the logitech software is the only way I've been able to get 1080p 4) No descriptions anywhere via controls on how to use color correction/color settings, sure this can be my issue but it should be slightly user friendly in this matter 5) Logitech forums are a ghost town, I had a user attempt to help me but no to avail, contacted support and not sure if I'm going to get a generic response or actual help Other Thoughts: Good Webcam Good Drivers Terrible Software This problem may or may not have been solved for me when you read this 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful. One for the bedroom, one for the living room. We didn't use the the camera on the Logitech revue so on a whim, I connected it to the PC to see if it works with skype and it does! Works perfectly. It's a STEAL if you can find one of the Logitech Revue set top boxes for ~129.99 with camera included Cons: Blue LED light is bright Other Thoughts: Works really well for a large flatscreen monitor.
