2 out of 5 eggsLogitech G930 - meh

Pros: wireless, so that's obvious
can be used while charging
emulated surround sound works pretty well

Cons: constant buzzing while plugged in via USB
signal fades in and out while sitting <3 feet away from receiver
Did I mention the AWFUL buzzing?

Other Thoughts: I want to like this headset. I've always enjoyed Logitech hardware and will frequently buy their equipment over another brand. The build quality seems good, the features are good, but the operation...not so good. These things will constantly buzz if you are using them while they are plugged in to the USB to charge. The buzzing is NOT a low, soft noise. I can hear the signal fading and cutting off from time to time while in use. The transmitter is sitting on my desk right beside my keyboard and I'm sitting less than 3' away from it. This, is sad performance. They sound pretty good for playing games, even the little bit of music to which I've listened sounded good. I just don't think I would recommend these to anyone else. If I thought I could easily return these for a full refund, I probably would. The only problem is that I'm not sure there is another wireless headset out there in the appropriate price range that I could be confident would perform any better.

5 out of 5 eggsWHat are you waiting for?

Pros: - Amazing sound quality, just as good as wired.
- Gets 40m of range in my house, just as advertised.
- Lasts 10 hours without a problem.
- Programmable keys and built in volume slider.
- Works on my android phone using a usb otg adapter, even the G-keys and volume slider works.

Cons: *Is heavier than it feels, and it noticeably messes up my hair, but this isn't really a con.

Other Thoughts: If you play competitive FPS games this is a must. The sounds of bullets whizzing by you and cracking against walls next to you are just amazing with this headset.

3 out of 5 eggsMixed review

Pros: Sounds good. Works well with Dragon 12.5. Seems to have a good range. Headset has metal band instead of all plastic Over the past 3 years I have replaced two different brands because the headset cracked off at the extension.

Cons: In the 9 days I've had it it has dropped out (disconnected itself) 15 times while I'm 1 foot away from the transceiver. I need it for daily medical dictation and I can't simply send it back for replacement unless I can get the replacement and then return to defective item. (Headset and/or transceiver).

2 out of 5 eggsDisconnects like crazy

Pros: When it works, it is nice, covers your ears and feels good on them, sometimes need to move since it will get heavy on your ears. Surround sound is great.

Cons: The software sucks. Have to use the software from my logitech keyboard instead. It disconnects from the wireless about once every 10 minutes. This headset also had the same problem when I bought it the first time and then returned it 2 months later. It's about a year and a half now with the second one and it's disconnecting constantly. It's bad, This headset is not meant to last.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat pre-Windows 8.1

Pros: Excellent overall sound quality (see cons), Good range, Well built headset.

Cons: Bad sound quality on Windows 8.1 some hours after reboot.

Other Thoughts: First, I would recommend this product to anyone running windows 7 or lower, without any USB 3.0 devices.

On the other hand, running windows 8.1, the sound quality decays into pops and crackles rather quickly. Closing the Logitech Gaming Software and allowing Windows to manage the device clears up 99% of this, but if you have other LGS hardware, or want the 7.1 surround feature, this may not be an option for you.
In the time I've been struggling with this, I have read through many threads on the Logitech forums and tried a multitude of things detailed there, without any great improvement.
Logitech support is well aware of the issues, but they seem to have abandoned the support this hardware deserves.

2 out of 5 eggsGood until disconnects

Pros: Decent sound, great range, good battery life

Cons: Begins to disconnect maybe 15 times in one hour after 4 months of use - completely unusable at this point. Uncomfortable headband (very little padding for how heavy it is)

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate - Falling Apart

Pros: wireless

Cons: The plastic pieces that clamp the earphones to the headband have cracks running lengthwise along them. I baby these things because I've heard they were fragile. Unacceptable quality for the price tag.

Other Thoughts: I was willing to overlook a few of the performance issues but when the product starts physically falling apart I get frustrated. What happened to building products that last?

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: It's got good enough sound quality and the wireless range exceeded my expectations when I first used it. The buttons and volume control on the left earcup were very useful.

Cons: After a while the max wireless range would get significantly worse. It also suffered from random disconnects and what sounded like interference. This seems like a very common issue and there has been no absolute answer or fix, which was extremely frustrating. It also gets very uncomfortable to wear after a while (in my opinion).

Other Thoughts: Even for what I paid (~$70), I would not recommend this headset.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: This thing is sweet. I was leaving for some schooling and needed some headsets to take with me. So I bought g230 from best buy. I really wanted the g930, but they were 169.99 there... NOPE! So I settled with the g230. They were great and all but i just regretted not getting the wireless. So I ordered the g930 and had them shipped to my hotel. Best decision ever! They are leaps and bounds better than the g230. I know, I know, there's a big price difference between the to, but it is TOTALLY worth it! Buy these headsets

Cons: Nothing as of yet.... not really a con, just something that was kinda nice on the g230s. They had a cloth ear cup, so it was much more breathable. I know it doesn't cut the sound out much, but it was kinda nice. Except the cloth was a little ruff... Don't get me wrong I love the leather on the g930 and I wouldn't change it for anything.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdated review after 1.5 years

Pros: Excellent sound. Extremely comfortable. Reasonablly priced. Great wireless range. USB connection.

Cons: 1- Sometimes horrible batter life, you MUST play sound/music at very low volume with them plugged in to recharge the battery to 100%. Otherwise, they only last 1.5 hours.
2- Poor software controls for volume. FIX THIS LOGITECH. There is NO excuse for this. It's very buggy and glitchy.

Other Thoughts: It's time to fix the flaws, Logitech. I've owned these for 1.5 years, so I know what's wrong with them.
