5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: So good I got a second! Well made and durable

Cons: Some games like the Logitech thing on, some/most like it off.

2 out of 5 eggsGood hardware, faulty software

Pros: It's great for playing things like RPG Maker games, shoot 'em ups (especially danmaku-types) or other games with a limited number of buttons that were designed for consoles on PC.

You can press a button on the gamepad to switch from primary movement being the analogue stick ot the d-pad, even when you have no software support for a game. This is the main reason I bought this controller over the Microsoft controller, and it works.

All the basic functions work out of the box, which is a good thing, because setup is nearly impossible.

Cons: The software that comes with the controller does not work. It crashes every time in some invasive search for what games you own because it is incompatible with certain types of hardware arrangements. To make the software work, you have to literally remove extra CD/DVD players or HDDs to make the software function. Worse, Logitech seems more interested in burying these flaws than answering them, as they are on a campaign of deleting threads about this topic from their support forums in spite of this being a complaint for years.

Being unwilling to physically rip my D: drive out, or my secondary DVD/R+ to try to get this working, I simply can't get the software working at all. This means the controller just doesn't work for any modern game, making it useless for playing something like GTA on PC like it were a PS2/3/4 game.

The shoulder buttons don't work at all unless you have software support. You can't even assign them keyboard buttons, as that's also part of the software support.

Logitech support has done nothing but repeatedly copy-paste steps to "solve the problem" that have failed, and deny the existence of the problem. They delete threads on their own forums for bringing the issue up.

3 out of 5 eggsGot one in the store.

Pros: Good design but not great, look at cons.
Relatively cheap.

Cons: It's design closely resembles the ps3 controller except it took the worst aspects. The xbox d-pad design is garbage, the ps3 joystick outty is garbage. If they had just swapped out those two designs with the PS3's d-pad and XBOX's joystick it would make it much better.

The worst thing about the controller is the Joystick's digital readings. A diagonal has to be precise, near dead on 45 degrees in order to mark diagonal movements. Analog games is fine but digital is garbage.

Also cable is rather short but it's to be expected. Supposedly it's for sitting in front a monitor (by your self) and not far away from a TV on a couch with friends.

Other Thoughts: That guard around the triggers is a good idea. Rather have pressure sensitive buttons like the PS3 but xinput is rather out dated when it comes to that stuff.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent for the $$

Pros: I purchased two of these controllers for less than $15.00 a piece at another retailer, so it was basically two for the price of one.

If your familiar, and prefer a PS type of controller, this one's for you!

Cons: When executing the "run" function during game play, such as with COD, the pressing in on the left joystick (L3) is awkward. The user is unable to execute a "run" when the left joystick is angled. The user must press in on the L3 button when it's in a full-upright position. Unfortuantely this makes the "run" function very difficult, and almost pointless.

Other Thoughts: If paying the full retail price, $29.00, look elsewhere; there must be a better controller out there.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Gaming Controller

Pros: Plug and play design, where my games recognized it right away and is compatible with the games I play. Great for people who can't comprehend keyboard and mouse gaming. Mimics the controls of my PS3, so I had not problem getting used to this gamepad.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsVery good.

Pros: Controls feel good. (Nothing felt loose. Everything was pretty tight.
Price is really hard to beat.

Cons: I like heavy controllers and this is pretty light compared to what I prefer.

Other Thoughts: I have this model. Just ordered another one as a spare and for anybody else that might need one around the house. The other one I have acts like the day I first got it.

4 out of 5 eggsLogitech F310 Gamepad

Pros: Functional Xbox360 controller replacement for use on PC; can be easily switched between X-Input and DirectInput modes. I've had no problems whatsoever using it with Windows 8.1. It makes playing some games much easier (e.g. twin-stick shooters, other console-style games). No rumble!

Cons: No rumble!

Other Thoughts: I don't care for force feedback or "rumble" in my gamepads/controllers, so the absence of rumble in the F310 is a Pro for me, although some people will consider it a Con.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect basic controller!

Pros: Built in support for X-Box controller only games and DirectX means a plug-n-play experience on every game I have tried it on, buttons color coded to match the X-Box button colors

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Apparently some folks have been having issues with shoddy construction of this controller, to which I say, you get what you pay for. I don't expect this to last as long as a controller double or more in cost. If I get a year or two out of it, that was a good buy. I bought this item knowing it was a low end Logitech product and my expectations are therefore low on durability and long term viability. If you are into heavy gaming with a controller I recommend some other product. For occasional controller gaming this is a good choice!
