2 out of 5 eggsIt works, but.....

Pros: It's wireless that's about it.

Cons: The response is slow, the mode button should be moved.

Other Thoughts: It's ok if you need a wireless controller....it works but, the toggles are slow to respond. The mode button gets in the way, if you push it while playing the toggles, left and right buttons stop working, so if you're playing an FPS you're gonna die. Logitech needs to move it to the front. Would I buy it again, No! Buy a Razer Sabertooth.

2 out of 5 eggsWindows 8.1 killed it.

Pros: It feels pretty sturdy and has a good grip on it.

Cons: Upgrading to windows 8.1 killed it for me.

I'm currently working with support to try to get it to connect again. It will connect via D input mode about 1/5th of the time but switching to X causes it to disconnect. The only way I have found so far to get it to connect again is to cross my fingers and reset my computer after putting it back in D input mode.

Other Thoughts: From what I've read on logi's forums, they seem pretty good about replacing them as this is "an accepted hardware issue." whether its the controller itself or the receiver that comes with it, I don't know yet.

1 out of 5 eggsNothing special

Pros: Excellent shape and design.

Cons: The buttons are often glitchy. Sometimes they work fine and the next minute they are either unresponsive or lock up.

Other Thoughts: Logitech really dropped the ball on this one. It's a beautiful design and has a great handfeel to it. Unfortunately it is often so difficult to play games with that it defeats the purpose. I've had it for a long time and I only ever use as a second controller.

If Logitech just refined it a little bit, it'd be the perfect controller. Until then, stick with an Xbox controller.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome gamepads!

Pros: Good connection 99% of the time, have used from 2-10 ft away with no problems.
If you use more than one there is no interference between the two, they automatically deconflict their wireless channels (no switches).
Has a directX and fully analogous modes which make it compatible with any game out there with a little know how (including emulators and any Xbox ports, most of the time without tweaking).
Excellent controller construction and design.

Cons: For some poorly programmed games, even some modern ones, you will have to tweak the drivers a little to get the game to pick things up automatically. Of course, you can always flip it over to analog mode and use a utility like joy2key and program a profile for the game you want to play. I use these controllers for a variety of games I've only had to do this on two occasions. Of course, the level of work you have to put in depends on the games you are trying to setup but there is no limit on what you can do with the analog mode.

Very rarely if I move the controller under my desk (controller in my lap), which is made of steel, I'll get a second of interruption but I believe this may be due to jitter caused by my desk's construction; the transceiver compensates quickly. I use it on my media server from across the room all the time with no issues.

Other Thoughts: I've been a long time Logitech customer and they never disappoint!

3 out of 5 eggsIt's ok.

Pros: This controller is very well made, has a good weight balance and battery life. The fit is a bit different than what I'm use to, but better now that I'm using it more. Very accurate controls.

Cons: Frist, it comes with standard AA batteries, not rechargeable. Second, it does not work correctly with some games. I've tried it with Battlefield 4 and it doesn't recognize it correctly. It says press A for something, but it thinks A is where the X button is. Very confusing. I also tried it with Arkham Origins and let's just say it's useless. It appears that Steam doesn't recognize it correctly either even though it claims to be compatible with Steam Big Picture. It does work perfectly with Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.

Other Thoughts: It's a good controller, it just needs to have more game support and profiles. Physically it's excellent.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little Gamepad

Pros: Solid feel and comparable to my PS2 controllers from years ago. Great battery life with my rechargables...left alone for days, I can still come back and play for hours. Adding additional units is as easy as plugging in more controllers. Very responsive analog sticks with an adjustable "dead zone" using the logitech profiler software. As a plus, can switch from D-input to X-input or vice versa for use on multiple generations/control schemes of games that utilize a controller. Also recognized by most of my games library (over 350 of them) without additional configuration necessary...from FPS to space shooter to fighting games to couch co-op...without a hitch.

Cons: Analog sticks go "dead" after a few minutes of non-use (such as pausing for refreshments), requiring a "button" press to wake them up...and for some games, that means initiating actions. Having multiple controllers on the same computer seems to cause whichever one "synchs" first to be designated "Player 1" with no indicator on the controllers themselves. No battery indicator on controller, with only laggy controls to indicate battery depletion.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat While it worked

Pros: Worked great first 2 weeks

Cons: Just like many people are complaining about....can't connect controller anymore....incredibly annoying since it worked well, seems the mini usb receiver has problems connecting to contoller.

Other Thoughts: Should had gone by the reviews and give up on wireless controllers / xbox controller receivers on PC and they all not seem to last more than a month...so weird and frustrating, back to my wired xbox 360 controller it is.
