2 out of 5 eggs:-(

Pros: Wireless
Size
Rumble
Rubberized grip
Good company

Cons: Range sucks from 1 foot away
The triggers are very different .
The left stick (I returned two of them) when you are using L3 would not give any feedback. It was hard to click this happened when you would be pushing the stick up all the way to the left it would not be clicked. I don't know why but its unacceptable the right stick would perform fine.

Other Thoughts: Fix this poopy problem with the sticks! For a $1.00 more you can get the wireless Microsoft controller . Just get that and be done with it already. The range is great and the controller is better and the batteries actually last.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Controller.

Pros: Soft touch grip, nice color scheme (not all black, meets living room approval) decent range about 30feet in my house. Slider to switch between Xinput and Directinput for both new and old games.

Cons: Takes batteries, AA. better buy a AA battery charger and 2 sets of batteries. Heavy use can take a quick toll on charge.

Other Thoughts: Went from a rumblepad ver 1.0 to this controller. Way better responsiveness and feel.

4 out of 5 eggsGave out after 2 years

Pros: This device works pretty well in xbox controller mode. It is always immediately recognized by games and has a fairly decent range.

Cons: It began failing after about 1 and half years. I noticed it would sometimes act as if it momentarily lost signal causing problems like cars stuck in a turn or characters spinning for a second before the signal re-established.

Reseating the receiver or adjusting the position of the controller relative to the receiver helped. Eventually tho, it was malfunctioning more than it was working. Replacing batteries did not fix it.

Other Thoughts: If it's working, this controller does a good job of doing what you want it to. I have only used it in xbox controller mode.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing controller for the price

Pros: >controls are very responsive
>d-pad is built very well and when you press a direction it feels like it snaps into place also its diagonal inputs were taken into account so you really have accurate free range with this dpad
>has pressure sensitive trigger buttons
>Has a familiar PlayStation like layout(for those who don't like the feel of an Xbox controller or, Xbox type layouts for their controllers)
>Full range of buttons has all the buttons you need
>100% compatible for use with all emulators (which is the main reason it was bought)
>Has near(I say near because i can play every game) 100% comparability with pc games that have controller support, newer games are obviously supported
>works with Steams Big Picture mode press the Logitech button in the middle of the controller to bring up Big Picture mode
>Also has the ability to switch between xinput and direct input which gives it greater compatibility for playing older games as well or emulators that don't support xinput to well
>came with batteries when it arrived duracell too :)
>also came with a male female end usb cable(obviously for the receiver) and those come in handy for other reasons so that was bonus.
>and im unable to say how fast it chews through double AA's

Cons: >its effective range is very low say about 20 ft so if you plan on sitting an absurd amount away from what ever you are trying to play it wont work so good

Other Thoughts: Massive improvement in design over the rumble pad 2 which had square punch outs for the analog sticks.
This is a fine controller and a perfect for a pc

3 out of 5 eggsSecond Controller

Pros: Great feel, button configuration is perfect, battery life is great, overall this would be the PERFECT controller for pc accept for "read the HUGE con"

Cons: The reception on this controller is still horrible..I got one several years back and learned to deal with it, and I thought maybe just maybe they would have fixed this in a new revision. But the reception for the wireless is still horrible..I literally am like 7 feet max from my computer and depending on how I am sitting the controller may or may not drop out. It's really annoying but I still love the controller for it's Dinput / Xinput and button configuration

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind dealing with dropouts with the wireless this controller may work for you, I probably would have just got a wired xbox controller for my pc if I knew the logitech controller was going to have bad reception again.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great on Win8.1

Pros: Seamless integration with Windows

Cons: - No power switch

Other Thoughts: I don't know what other reviewers are doing when they say this controller doesn't work with Win8.1. It does. Install the driver from Logitech's website, update Windows if needed and set your F710 switch in the back to "X" for new(er) games, "D" for older games that use old or customized formats.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Windows 8.1 driver, no power switch

Pros: Cool looking paper weight.

Cons: Logitech has no Windows 8.1 driver. They refuse to make one, or fix the bug. It doesn't work on 8.1. Also there is no power switch so if you trow it in a bag buttons accidentally pressed will drain the battery out.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good.

Pros: Wireless, so none of the F310's cheap, hair thin wiring problems.

Familiar form and button layout, just like a PS2

One of the greatest D-Pads in PC controllers.

Cons: A little fickle about the wireless signal

Runs on AA batteries.

Other Thoughts: After having left a well deserved negative review of the Logitech F310, I decided that I would give the F710 a chance, not because I trust Logitech's products any more, but because I needed a controller that has higher than 2 star reviews on most sites.

Fortunately, thanks to the magic of second hand ownership, I got a barely used F710 for half the price, and Logitech gets no cut of my money this time. Take that!

To get to the point, I can honestly say that my initial impression of this controller is much better than my opinion of the F310. The plastic feels about the same quality, which is pretty good, and the buttons are still the same. However, the lack of a cord to short on me immediately lifts this controller above the F310. Where the F310 has pointless black plastic to add... I dunno, accent? The F710 has actual rubber pads to help the controller not slip out of your hands while you're playing. The entire back of the controller is lightly rubberized as well, and just feels really good in the hands. Since this one is battery operated AND has rumble motors, it feels really significant; some people may think this is a fault, but not me.

Do note: the complaints about the signal/receiver are 100% true. My computer is currently under my desk, and most of the time, that's where my controller is while I'm playing a game. If I cross my legs and one leg gets between the controller and the receiver, or if I turn just a little bit, the signal dies and has to recalibrate itself, and often it is unable to. I own a Logitech Wireless mouse, and it works no matter where it is in relation to the receiver. The same can be said for every wireless console controller I have, all the way from the GameCube to now, so to think that this one controller has such a signal trouble is a little strange. I was able to play a game with it from halfway across the room with no latency, though, so maybe it was designed with the expectation that you won't be sitting so close to the PC? That's kind of dumb, too.

All of that being said, I wouldn't let the signal issue be a deal breaker on this controller. Most people have a sort of fix for this, whether it's put the receiver on top of the table, or in a different location, and I believe that works. For me, I just have resorted to sitting as still as possible while playing.

The 5th star is lost thanks to the wireless issue, but everything else is golden. For once in my Logitech gamepad career, I can say I'm happy to have made the purchase.
