Your trackball stays in one place, so you don't have to move your arm to move your cursor. Its sculpted shape supports your hand to let you work all day in comfort.

Compact footprint
Because the trackball doesn't move, it's perfect for tight workspaces and busy desks.

Time-tested shape
Millions of people have loved the Logitech Trackman Wheel. We've refined its proven shape to create the M570.

Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless
You get the reliability of a cord with cordless convenience and freedom—fast data transmission and virtually no delays or dropouts.

Wireless freedom
The robust wireless connection lets you control your laptop, desktop computer of home theater PC from up to 30 feet (10 meters) away.

Tiny, wireless receiver
It's so small it can stay plugged in a USB port. You don't have to unplug it when you move around or worry about losing it. And your trackball is always ready to use.

Logitech Unifying technology
Easily connect up to six compatible wireless devices—keyboards, number pads or mice—without the hassle of multiple receivers filling up your USB ports.

Storable receiver
If you do need to remove the tiny receiver, just tuck it away right next to the battery.

18-month battery life
The long battery life virtually eliminates the hassle of changing batteries. The On/Off button saves power, while an indicator light helps you avoid surprises.

Work—and play—anywhere
You get precise cursor control wherever you want to use your trackball. Hard tables, comfy sofas and lumpy beds are all no problem for the M570.

Adjustable speed
The M570 now sports an adjustable laser sensor, giving you a wider range of cursor speeds—and the perfect amount of control.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat happened to Logitech

Pros: Smooth operation, trackball removal easy for cleaning, wireless is nice

Cons: Cheap Switches.
after a few months it starts double clicking when you don't want it too

Other Thoughts: The switches in the mouse started double clicking after a few months of use. Sometimes taking the battery out and holding the buttons to discharge the capacitors helps but the double click starts up again shortly after. Logitech used to make Great reliable products but after buying two of these I'm starting to wish another company would build a reliable trackball.

3 out of 5 eggsUsed to be great, going downhill

Pros: The design is solid. The reprogramming of buttons works flawlessly, the software (on Windows) isn't constantly begging for attention. I've owned some form of this mouse for 15 years, starting with the corded Trackman Marble.

Cons: It's a little small for my hand.

The killer, though, is the cheap microswitches in the main buttons, leading to sporadic loss of contact when you're trying to double-click or click-and-drag. Their production process and Q&A has really gone downhill.

Other Thoughts: This isn't worth $60 anymore, not when the buttons wear out so quickly. I wish I could find a decent competing product, because I'd switch to it in a heartbeat. I'm sad that I can't find a good thumb-trackball these days.

Having owned my current M570 for about a year, the unreliable clicking means it's time to go shopping again. This time I doubt I'll buy a Logitech again.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: Trackball tech is wonderful for the hand
Arrangement of the ball and buttons make it intuitive to use

Cons: The battery lasts longer than the buttons
Logitech customer service is spotty in dealing with problems

Other Thoughts: Like many others, I have had the double click/no drag start happening after about 8 months. When I contacted CS, I was given a long list of things to try; everything from clean the thing to using it on another computer. Since I replied that I had tried all of the things they asked, I have been having problems even getting a response. As it stands now I would have to say only buy this thing if it is cheap enough to be considered throw-away or just go in and change the switches yourself if you really like it. I know this will make me a bit more cautious buying their products from now on because the quality just isn't very high now for the price you pay.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm keeping mine until it breaks

Pros: It is very versatile.
It does not need any space.
The 2 side buttons are very useful for browsing.

All in all: A good everyday mouse.

Cons: You have to take the trackball out to clean so the movement of the ball stays fluid. It is not hard, but it is a con.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat for six months

Pros: Smooth operation, trackball removal easy for cleaning

Cons: Cheap switches

Other Thoughts: The switches in the mouse started double clicking after six months of average use. It seems to help when I take the battery out and hold the buttons to discharge them but the double click starts up again within days, sometimes hours. Love the way the mouse feels and worked when it was new but really can't recommend it unless you get it incredibly cheap and feel like replacing the switches.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost awesome... but...

Pros: Smooth operation, no need for a large clear area on your desk, very sensitive, great for gaming and graphics.

Cons: Buttons not high quality! They wear out of you use this mouse a lot they give out too soon.

Other Thoughts: I have used some version of this type of Logitech mouse since the very early '90s! I have worn out several of them and I LOVE the thumb ball over the conventional mouse. Since the M570 came out I have noticed they are lighter and feel somewhat cheaper than they used to be. The buttons just don't hold up under heavy use. I admit I'm a gamer but ALSO a heavy user of Adobe Photoshop. This is a great mouse once you get used to the thumb wheel and I have converted many over to its use, But the present one I am using again had button problems. The left button double clicks often with just one press.
Logitech has been great about replacing this. I have had it replaced twice before and once was an upgrade from the wired version. I use many Logitech products and they are great most of the time. Like any item they sometimes break and no problems getting them to replace my items.
I would recommend this mouse to all but the most serious gamer. The buttons just don't hold up!

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: None. I don't know how this has so many reviews.

Cons: Everything about this sucks balls. This is a cheap device, I don't normally leave reviews but after paying such a high price for some lightweight plastic; I have to inform all of you. The build quality is cheap plastic , flimsy garbage! It feels terrible. I own many logitech products (g700, trackman original, keyboards, speaker systems, etc) however this is absolutely terribe. I loved the original trackman, it has weight to it , a nice trackball and is very sturdy, it has gone through some abuse and functions excellent still. So I had to try this one out. It is hollow, it feels and sounds like it's already broken!

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it, you will regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsOnly Trackball I Like

Pros: The best design for a trackball, period. Robust components. Very small power usage. Takes a single AA battery and lasts months on it.

Cons: They discontinued the corded version of this mouse and I'm afraid this one will be extinct too shortly.

Other Thoughts: Most trackballs suck and I understand why the general population likes mice better, however after using this Logitech and the older corded models for over a decade, this is by far my favorite pointing device. It's better for everything I do, browsing to graphics work to FPSes. I will be profoundly sad when these are discontinued and my last spare dies, in about a decade.
