Features

Features
Trackball comfort
Your trackball stays in one place, so you don't have to move your arm to move your cursor. Its sculpted shape supports your hand to let you work all day in comfort.

Compact footprint
Because the trackball doesn't move, it's perfect for tight workspaces and busy desks.

Time-tested shape
Millions of people have loved the Logitech Trackman Wheel. We've refined its proven shape to create the M570.

Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless
You get the reliability of a cord with cordless convenience and freedom—fast data transmission and virtually no delays or dropouts.

Wireless freedom
The robust wireless connection lets you control your laptop, desktop computer of home theater PC from up to 30 feet (10 meters) away.

Tiny, wireless receiver
It's so small it can stay plugged in a USB port. You don't have to unplug it when you move around or worry about losing it. And your trackball is always ready to use.

Logitech Unifying technology
Easily connect up to six compatible wireless devices—keyboards, number pads or mice—without the hassle of multiple receivers filling up your USB ports.

Storable receiver
If you do need to remove the tiny receiver, just tuck it away right next to the battery.

18-month battery life
The long battery life virtually eliminates the hassle of changing batteries. The On/Off button saves power, while an indicator light helps you avoid surprises.

Work—and play—anywhere
You get precise cursor control wherever you want to use your trackball. Hard tables, comfy sofas and lumpy beds are all no problem for the M570.

Adjustable speed
The M570 now sports an adjustable laser sensor, giving you a wider range of cursor speeds—and the perfect amount of control.

Scroll wheel
You can easily move up and down through Web pages and long documents.

Programmable buttons
You can customize your trackball's buttons to help you do what you want faster.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, wish it lasted

Pros: The mouse is extremely comfortable and easy to get used to (even though it seems like it would be weird using your thumb). It really lessened the pain from carpal tunnel syndrome, since you don't have to move the mouse/your wrist around.

Cons: Unfortunately, it seems these units always end up having a bad problem really early in their lifespan. The first one I had ended up having a broken scroll wheel, so I called Logitech and they sent me a second one.

The second one started having double-click issues about 6 months into using it. It wasn't so bad, but a few more months down the road and it just got worse. Now EVERY time I click it double clicks, and it will lose a button-press in the middle of doing things (try dragging and dropping when the button won't stay activated).

Other Thoughts: I will say, in total I've had this mouse for 4 years, I only have to replace the battery once a year, and the trackball is great! I just wish the rest of the hardware was as good as the trackball portion, especially for $50. I really wish I could buy this mouse from a different company, in the hopes that the quality would be better.

For the lifespan of 90% functionality of this mouse (which is about 6 months max, after that you either lose the scroll wheel, the back/forward buttons, or the mouse clicks/holds), I would be willing to pay about half of this price every few years. If it lasted through the warranty period without having an issue, I wouldn't mind paying the $50, but it doesn't.

Considering this is the second one that I bought and both have problems (and had problems within 6 months of ownership), I'm on the fence about buying a third to replace the one with the clicking issues.

2 out of 5 eggsLogitech M570

Pros: Wireless trackball

Cons: only 5 buttons rather than the previous product

Other Thoughts: If you're used to using the calypso (T-RB22), you're going to be disappointed in this product. For some reason, Logitech has determined that their customers didn't need to have the 8 buttons they're used to, and put only 5, of which only three are programmable. I'd kind of know what their thought process was when they designed it.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a Logitech which is always good

Pros: This is the second one of these that I have purchased. My wife has used one of these on her personal computer and when I do something on her computer I have always liked how it feels and works and the battery last a long time and if my wife is home she has her computer on.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: I love this mouse. Very comfortable to use. Much better option than a regular mouse no wrist pains when using it for a extended period of time or playing games. Once you get used to it then it is much faster to get around than with a regular mouse.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsNot the old Logitech

Pros: Good for 3 months at a time

Cons: Random double-clicking, loss of tracking capability, track ball freezes because of sub-quality glides

Other Thoughts: This is the 3rd M570 that has gone bad. Logitech replaced the previous bad Trackballs and now this one is bad again. They promised a return label and another replacement but nothing showed up. They no longer acknowledge my calls or emails. I have given up on them as a company. Buy something else, this is not the Logitech that you remember...their hardware is junk.

4 out of 5 eggsinterferance issuse

Pros: this mouse is great, i can use my desktop and laptop mouse control at a distance while keeping even the most cluttered office, thanks to the built in track ball. this mouse has been used with 7 computers since i am a high great power user for pc's , i suggest this mouse over even the most advance gaming mouse if you have a laptop or desktop that you have to use in places while in a room that is cluttered , cluttered office , uneven surfaces

Cons: i have several computers with several broadcasting devices, wireless access points, wireless headsets, wireless mouse (this mouse) however this device cuts out on the transmitters a lot and it is very annoying, but i place the blame on signal interance, with that said i feel that since this is a proprietyary deivce they should use their own proprietary frequency to avoid signal interferance. but at this rate i well most likely be forced to get a wired device to fix the issue. the laser tends to get junk in it , it requires i take the ball out frequently and clean it, and i have to slam the mouse down a lot since it seems to fix it somehow for the moment. replacing the battery has little effect

Other Thoughts: overall great mouse , even better then most gaming mice that ive used for the applications ive use it for, even gaming lol but the device needs work with the connectivity

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Trackball

Pros: Smooth, durable, accurate.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you like a trackball, this is a GREAT choice. Ours went into a very difficult environment with a discerning long-time trackball user. It was EASY to set up, updates its own software, and points accurately. Ergonomically pleasing and works great - what else can you need - oh, and its wireless...
