5 out of 5 eggsI love TrackMan

Pros: This was my fifth Trackman model, since this purchase I've bought a second one of these to keep at the office. The Unified Receiver wireless tech is a much needed upgrade from their past iterations.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: When you open the package, check the ball to make sure it is perfect. any imperfections will seriously irritate you over time.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat when it works

Pros: Comfortable: great fit for my hands. Same button layout as mice. Great precision and control. Never have to move, so good for small spaces. No stress on my wrist, and I can zoom across the screen with a flick of my thumb. The best mouse/trackball I have ever owned.

Cons: Quality (or lack thereof) First trackball failed after about a year with the left click button not responding or double clicking. My next one stopped responding to movement after two years. The third one also stopped moving after a week. My original red corded trackball lasted for over 10 years without a problem. The blue cordless version just seems to have very poor quality components.

Other Thoughts: I love this trackball, but it broke my heart. It's comfort and precision keep me coming back, but then the pain starts again. If ANYONE else made a trackball in this style - I would give them a try. I am willing to spend more money on quality components. I bought a 'Das Keyboard' just for the thrill of such solid workmanship. Can anyone make a 'Das Mouse'?

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasts

Pros: Functions well, does everything you expect it to do.

Cons: Short lifespan before buttons wear out. As other reviewers noted, after some period of use (for me, about 2 years) the mouse begins to send multiple clicks when you press the button only once. This is apparently caused by the microswitch failing. This is a pretty common issue apparently. At least the mouse comes with a 3 year warranty, and I am trying to go that route to get this one replaced.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect in Every Way

Pros: I have owned this model for over 5 years now. My dumb dog likes to chew it up every once in a while, so I'll go out and buy a new one when I need to. This mouse is precise, durable, comfortable, and has enough buttons to satisfy those who want them. I use it for work, gaming, video editing, and pretty much everything in between. I will continue to buy this mouse as long as they keep making 'em.

Cons: None worth mentioning.

3 out of 5 eggsBluetooth very short range.

Pros: When trackball is insight of dongle it works awsome.

Cons: Have mini PC mounted on back of monitor. With dongle plugged directly into PC trackball will not work. Have had to install USB extension cable and place dongle in front of monitor for unit to operate and will work up to 10' away.

Other Thoughts: none

Pros: Great performance (using for CAD navigation)

Cons: Clicks are somewhat louder than expected--especially middle click,

2 out of 5 eggsGood mouse, but constantly breaks

Pros: Unifying receiver
Batteries last ages

Cons: Mouse buttons quickly give out and the mouse needs to be replaced. I'm currently on my 3rd one and about to replace it again. The buttons will start to double click when you click once, and rapidly click if you just hold it down. Can't drag anything, and you risk double clicking on most things when you just want to select.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Solution For Home Theater HTPC!!!

Pros: Use Anywhere
Comfortable Grip
Great Range
Unifying Reciever

Cons: Absolutely None

Other Thoughts: I have owned 3 of these and they are all great! The one on my bedroom PC get dropped daily and absolutely no issues. If you are looking for something for the office, living room, bedroom, or if you are on the go and dont have room for a mouse for your laptop its the best option. If you are on the fence go for it you will be happy!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse

Pros: Works like my now deceased collection of original Microsoft trackballs. About the highest praise possible. I have used thew Microsoft trackballs since the very first one came out - this is the first one that works as well.

Price was less than or equal to a refurbished version for a brand new one!

Cons: Could stand to have a stickier base so the trackball doesn't slide when clicked - a minor nit.

Other Thoughts: Makes me feel so much better when the thumb tuns the ball and the fingers do the click and wheel. Many of the other logitech trackballs have the disaster of the fingers on the ball and the thumb clicking - doesn't work for me.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible waste of money

Pros: When it actually works I like it. I've owned various Logitech Trackball mice for years. Even had one of these models during a contract position which is why I bought this one.

Cons: If I am lucky this mouse works maybe 20% of the time if that much. More often than not the pointer stalls and the trackball won't move it at all. The buttons don't always work properly and often seem to activate without being touched at all causing me to drag and drop random things all over the place. I really hate this mouse. Unfortunately for me, by the time I decided to give up and return it, the 30 days for returns was over and now I'm stuck with it. Without another trackball manufacturer out there it looks like I will have to give up on the trackball mouse type I love and get a laser pointer mouse I dislike.

Other Thoughts: I don't recommend that anyone buy this terrible piece of technology. I usually love Logitech products but they really missed the mark with this one. If I could have I would have rated this mouse with a zero.
