3 out of 5 eggsg930 pros VS cons worth it?

Pros: good Bass, decent trebble, mic is good, better than some i hear. the volume wheel and buttons.

Cons: its heavy, and leaves a very noticeable print in your hair. does not have enough clamping force on your ears, it flops around a lot. the software. the BIGGEST let down of this. IF it works, its nice and awesome. it wouldnt respond to me for a month at one point. sometimes the power button just dosnt work, you have to push it in really hard. also, do NOT plug these into a usb 3.0 port.

Other Thoughts: if it did not weigh as much as my cat, it would be perfect even with the software.

2 out of 5 eggsLOGITECH, WHY!?!

Pros: I didn't buy 2 of these............ok ok, to be honest, the headset sounds GREAT when it's working. That being said, it sounds great 30% of the time I have used it. By far the most comfortable of ANY gaming headset I have used, and friends have agreed when they tried it. It was actually one of the first things they noted, followed by the sound quality, then followed by "WHY IS THIS NOT WORKING!?"

Cons: I don't get it....The system cuts out CONSTANTLY. I am a computer technician for 10+ years so I knew what I was doing when I began to troubleshoot. The issue has something to do with how the headset itself talks to the receiver. It's ridiculous because even when the headset is plugged DIRECTLY INTO THE COMPUTER it still cuts out every 15 seconds. I've had people in Teamspeak drop out because of the sound the headset is making every time it disconnects/reconnects. If you aren't prepared for this scenario, do NOT get this headset. Also, battery life is no where NEAR the 10 hour mark. I understand that 10 hours is the max under optimal conditions (programs that use less load-bearing on the headset) ..but I was lucky to get 3 or 4 hours under normal gaming conditions....

Other Thoughts: I recently bought the Corsair H2100....While the sound quality isn't as good and the comfort is HORRENDOUS compared to the Logitech G930, the headset works AMAZINGLY. Battery life is incredible and it does EXACTLY what it advertises it does. The G930 is mass-refurbished for a reason. The one that I bought was a refurb, but I've bought MANY items on refurb without a problem. Spend the extra money on this and get yourself a good headset. It really does matter.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy the refurbished version

Pros: Marginally cheaper than the brand new version (the difference is sometimes as low as $10 if you know where to look)

Cons: The first unit I got was extremely dirty. And I mean dirty. Dandruff (?) and other debris all over the place. I had to take the earpads off and disassemble the red earpad holder and clean/vacuum every part. It was disgusting.

Then I start using it, and 1. the battery life sucks (2-3 hours instead of 8), and 2. the left audio channel is a little softer than the right audio channel. Hard to notice at first, but impossible to ignore once you do notice it.

So I had to get an RMA, and the replacement unit just arrived. It's a bit cleaner, but I'm testing it, and I think it may still have some of the same problems.

If you are interested in this, please get a new product and not this refurb.

Other Thoughts: I wish I didn't get this. The cost of shipping the first, dirty, broken unit back to Newegg ate up the entire cost savings. I could've bought a brand new one from a competitor for what I paid for this refurbished product+return shipping. The worst part? Newegg won't even refund the thing. It's "replacement-only." Buyer beware!

1 out of 5 eggsGreat while it worked

Pros: Everything about the headset is great, audio, microphone, comfort, range.

Cons: All audio from left side stopped working a little over a month into usage. Never dropped it or anything, just randomly stopped working. Newegg's replacement plan is only one month long. Logitech doesn't cover this product since it is refurbished.

Other Thoughts: Headset seems like a worthy investment, just don't buy refurbished from newegg.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst shopping experience

Pros: Nothing against the headset, it is awesome when its working!

Cons: When I got the headset everything worked fine, only thing was when I was charging it USB cable was little loose and if I were to moved it, it would stop charging. This wasn't a big deal for me because I usually charged it whenever I was done using the headset. Few days later it stopped charging completely. I know it is not the usb cable because I've tried my friends cable who has the exact headset and it did not worked. So I sent an email to Logitech, they said they couldn't do ANYTHING because it was refurbished since that didn't worked out I sent an email to Newegg to see if I can return the broken one and they cant send me a replacement headset, but no... all they offered was $15 gift card... Really?! I used the headset for like 2 weeks and its not working anymore and you are offering me $15? Never buying stuff from here or Logitech unless I absolutely have to.

1 out of 5 eggsHUGE MISTAKE

Pros: Sounds great when it works

Cons: Known issues with these on the USB connection at the headset that fails. ZERO care from newegg or Logitech to resolve this. Initially I couldn't get the PC (win 7) to connect to this thing. I had a RMA ready after several hours, then found a post in a forum of some test tactics. Suddenly it worked. I declined the RMA. several months later, the USB charging port quit taking a charge. How do you use the device without a charge? You don't. And now its past the 90 day window and I am hosed. Logitech admits this is a problem, but doesn't stand behind it. Really sad.

2 out of 5 eggsNot very happy with it

Pros: Okay, it worked great for about 3 months, and sounded great through mic/speakers. But then quickly went down hill...

Cons: horrible fuzzy noise when playing games that started happening after about 3 months of using this daily for gaming. Then the flexible mic boom snapped off completely. Now it pretty much doesn't work at all and looks horrible. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone..

3 out of 5 eggsHorrible Software

Pros: The headset itself is great. Sure the plastic is cheap but the plastic provides no structural support, it's only there to hide a sturdy metal bar which provides the actual support. Sound quality is superb, it's comfortable and the mic is sturdy yet pliable.

Cons: The software is horrid. I have had no end of problems with LGS or the G930 drivers and only seem to have found a solution after uninstalling the drivers and editing the registry. Was an issue with the wireless.

Sidetone volume likes to reset itself every time the headset re-connects. Really annoying, I don't like having my own voice muffled.

The connector for the charging cable doesn't grip the headset and doesn't charge unless I apply pressure to it, so instead of doing that I have to use a 3rd party micro-USB charger that actually works.
