4 out of 5 eggsGreat little webcam

Pros: The clarity is immensely better compared to my old webcam. It's nice to be able to record and take pictures at such a high resolution. And the auto-focus works really well on it. It was simple to set up, I plugged it in, visited the website, get the drivers, and I was good to go.

Cons: No matter how hard I try, I can't find a way to fix it so that I can get my Steam chat working. I've searched google for a good 2 hours and can't find a solution anywhere. The main reason I bought the webcam was so I could chat with people online while playing games on Steam. But it detects the cam, I can open a chat window and try to call other players, but when I can it never shows up that I'm calling them, and it doesn't show that their calling me. But when I record videos it records audio just fine. What's up with that?

Other Thoughts: This is a really great webcam, and it was well worth the money. I'm sure that someone somewhere will find how to fix Steam voice chat eventually. I've got Windows 8.1 and it has its fair share of hardware and software problem causing.

4 out of 5 eggsNice camera for personal use

Pros: Easy to set-up and install, and a very modular device. The mic works quite well and the quality of the camera in quite noticeable.

Cons: During video conversations, it appears that the quality is poor on the receiving PC.

Other Thoughts: Not really a con, but I took off one egg because during skype convo's the video on my own PC looked quite good it seems as though the quality on the receiving PC, even though both computers are using the same router. Still, it is a good product overall.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for price

Pros: Great quality for skype, omegle, but if you are doing actual recording for video's this is not good (I did not test under professional lighting)
Has face follow which will zoom in and follow your face. This is fun to play with, but I dont use it for any specific thing.
Has a decent field of vision and can zoom in quite well to about 6 inches. But you kind of have to trick it into focus in correctly.
Can be used as a security camera, as it can record if it detects movement.

Cons: Only does digital zoom, so the face follow function makes the picture progressively grainier.

Other Thoughts: Im satisfied with it, It does what i need it to do perfectly well.

5 out of 5 eggsGood bang for the buck

Pros: Worked right off my computer saw it right away.(XP-Pro 64 SP2)
Others say it looks good on Hangouts.
Lots of Automatic settings and plenty of manual settings
more than i need.

Cons: None really but some software downed not needed.
just uninstall what you don't like and keep the drivers
if you use a tripod the rubber plug on bottom is going to get lost for sure. Yes it' got lost in one day Oh well.

Other Thoughts: There are more expensive ones (logitech) but for the money It fits my needs just fine. Read the other reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing HD Cam.

Pros: Absolutely love this little device. I stream videogames online all the time I was in the market for a new HD WebCam to use on Twitch and Justin.Tv and this little puppy does the job. I can Stream with 1080p Quality at 30FPS. It has a nice Wide Lens which I truly love. This WebCam also works wonders with OBS & xSplit no driver issues at all.

Engineering done correctly.

Cons: None, Get one already!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little cam!

Pros: This is a wonderful web cam with a plethora of features. Compact and travel friendly. Fast with an above par picture.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I use this cam to video Skype with my wife and she loves it. I also do video reviews of hardware on my own web page. I've dropped it a few times and abused the cable too but still works like it was new. As a personal preference I wish the cable was braided but that's just me. It does fold up nice and neat and has a great solid feel to it. My main monitor is a ASUS 144hz 3D gaming monitor so the top is too wide for the clamp to fit properly but that's not the products fault. A simple piece of black Gorilla Duct tape cured that problem. I'm glad I opted for this unit. Even though it was a little more in price, I feel like its still fairly priced for all the features you get and the quality of construction it exhibits.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Quality HD Webcam

Pros: - Top brand
- Easy to mount and use
- Great video quality
- Great low light quality
- Auto and manual focus (via software)
- Build quality
- Good sound pickup

Normally, I write much longer and more in depth reviews, but there really is not a lot to say about this camera, other than it works great for most any HD webcam needs.

The image detail and sound quality are both great, as is it's low light capability. With the camera 3 feet away, the light from my LCD is far more then enough light for this webcam. The image quality remains clear and VERY easy to see.

The auto focus works quite well in most lighting conditions, but it can be manually adjusted as well via the software if needed.

It can sit on most any monitor bevel, or on a flat surface, and be easily adjusted to keep whatever you like in frame.

This is an overall great product and I could not be happier with it. See "Other thoughts" for more details.

Cons: None, it's doing it's job fantastically.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this webcam to use for both video calls (Skype/ooVoo), for use in recording video reviews, and my live gaming streams.

In all cases this webcam excels and is easily setup for use with all the software I am using. Open Broadcaster, XSplit, ManyCam, ect.

I also purchased a 15ft USB extension cable for use with this camera to make it easier to use for doing hardware reviews away from the desk. The webcam has no problems being at the end of that 15ft extension. The cable in question is here on Newegg as well, at the time of this review, the Nippon Labs Black 15 ft. USB-15-MF-BK.

Thank you for a great quality product Logitech. I will happily recommend this webcam to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat all prupose web cam

Pros: - Works across XP, Win7 32/64, OSX, major Linux distros
- Logitech software is decent (disable auto starting parts) and works with wide variety of third-party software.
- Fine video quality for conferencing w/o killing CPU in 720 resolution.
- Fold up into and egg shape. Makes for easy packing and protects the lens.
- Tripod socket
- Being able to pivot camera left-right and up-down makes positioning the unit very easy.
- Mono mic is fine for conferencing
- Auto focus is stable and works well. Some other web cams seem to constantly adjust, throwing the image out of focus more than if there was no auto focus at all.
- If you don't need h.

Cons: - Low light performance isn't that great.
- Does not have hardware support for H.264 as some higher-end unit do.

Other Thoughts: This is probably the best all-purpose web cam around at the moment. Others have better optics, stereo sound, higher resolution or are smaller. But, if you want one that will fit on almost any screen, shelf, desk, or a tripod; be able to angle the lens; good video and still quality; work across multiple OSes; have decent hardware requirements; and fold up and pack securely this is a great choice.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Does It

Pros: Nice design; small and robust. Fits nicely on my monitor, and because of the way it folds it can be transported easily.
Very simple to set up. Just download the software from Logitech's web site then click the set up file. From there the software does its thing with minimal user intervention.
Price. For the quality of this unit and the extra USB cable extension you get with this package it is very well priced in my opinion.

Cons: Length of the cables are a little short, but with the extra USB cable most people should have plenty of length to work with.
While Windows does recognize the camera once it's plugged into the computer, you still have to download the software from Logitech's web site because it does not come with any CD or DVD ROM. For most this won't be a con, but if you have a slow or no Internet connection then this would be a hassle..

Other Thoughts: From the time I pulled this camera out of the package I had it set up and on Skype in ten minutes. It's a very simple peripheral to set up and use, and the image quality is very good for a $70.00 web camera.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and as soon as I plugged the camera in it was recognized almost immediately by my computer. I also don't have any problems or incompatibilities using the software with this version of Windows.
Overall this is a fine package for the money, and I can recommend this web cam with confidence. Thanks NewEgg for another great buy, and fast as usual shipping.
