1 out of 5 eggsProduced Blue Screen

Pros: Nice package. Good specs. Good looking software.

Cons: It failed spectacularly after installation. Single image capture produced a blue screen and reboot of Win7Pro x64. Repeated S/W download and installation with same result. Then, the uninstall hung, forcing another reboot. My OS has never had any problems with other devices (even Logitech's) or applications. Finally, restored my entire system from an image backup, which I had made just before the cam install.

Other Thoughts: Can't say whether the problem was caused by hardware or S/W. If it was hardware, it could have been an isolated case. Don't want to risk my system again, however, for a webcam that I didn't need that badly. Newegg authorized a refund, and I returned the product.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Webcam!

Pros: Easy and quick installation. Image quality is overall decent and audio clarity is satisfactory. The fold-and-go and the plus-swivel design make it very easy to pack and go. Extremely easy to use... my 5 year old nephew can use it. Great first webcam for almost 1/2 off the regular price.

Cons: Video calling is not always available in HD 720p. No H.264 hardware compression technology. Autofocus is slow at times.

Other Thoughts: Image quality is overall decent because it isn't equipped with Carl Zeiss optics. The lens on the C525 is plastic. Yes, yes, yes... I know... it's 2014... and this is my first webcam.

5 out of 5 eggseasy and simple

Pros: easy to install
good quality
skype recognized it right away

Cons: you can't cover the lens when not in use, so I use a paper to cover it (yes I am a bit worried about people hacking my webcam, even though I have a well protected network xD)

Other Thoughts: added a webcam to my deskstop so I would not have to constantly hold my nexus 7 tablet or hunch over my laptop

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cam

Pros: Easy installation. Plugged in the cable and then, Windows 7 took over, recognized the device, contacted the mfr. through the internet, got the drivers, and installed everything. No Sweat.

I did not try their other software, special features, etc. It's just for Skype and I know it works there.

Cons: Small and flimsy? A little more solid feel would be nice. Always afraid it will fall off the monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice PIctures

Pros: The cam was easy to install. Easy to find the drivers on Logitech's website. Easy to adjust the settings to suite my light level.

Cons: The cam takes kinda a long time to take the pictures.

Other Thoughts: This is my third Logitech device that I have owned but my mouse is the most useful because it is over 5yrs old. Maybe if my cam can last that long that would be awesome.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got this to do some interviews and meetings. It worked well enough. I was told the microphone and camera were both good. Installed like a boss on a WinXP 32 computer. It's very small and lightweight so I plan on making use of those features in some projects.

Cons: Logitech support is a pox. Device didn't install at first due to some weirdness with Windows 7 x64. Against my better judgement I contacted Logitech who suggested I follow directions I told them I had tried. I eventually gave up with them and sorted it out on my own.

Other Thoughts: Detachable cord might be neat.
