5 out of 5 eggsworks good

Pros: feels good in the hand.. havent had any problems with the tracking.. optical seems to be better than laser mice from my experience

Cons: feels a bit odd to hold at first but you get used to it. the mouse cord feels a bit cheap, and could be a bit longer

Other Thoughts: i have also owned two of the RAT-7 mouse's, had to return both of them because the laser stopped working. its pretty bad when a device fails under regular useage. one of them lasted almost a year, the other one lasted a few months. nolonger buying from that brand.

3 out of 5 eggsGood product, but failed

Pros: Worked fine for about six months, then failed.

Cons: Warranty phone line is not toll-free, which is absurd. I'm still waiting on a replacement.

2 out of 5 eggsSupport is utter garbage

Pros: The mouse itself worked great for about six months, then it died. I guess the fact that the product worked well without dying for that long deserves an egg.

Cons: Logitech support is utter garbage. I try to call the warranty number listed on their website (Support / Warranty Claims, +1 646-454-3200), it's not toll-free and is currently disconnected. Disconnected! I couldn't believe it! As if it wasn't bad enough that they're having the consumer foot the bill for calling, then they don't even have it connected! It's like a joke! A major tech company's warranty line isn't even reachable. What a load. It's past the 70 day RMA period on Newegg, so they can't do anything about it. I know what vendor I'm never buying from again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: Overall this is just a solid mouse. I really like the design and shape. It feels very good in my hand. I believe it's meant to be palm gripped but I have somewhat larger hands and I pull off a fingertip grip easily. The side buttons are good, but it took me a while to be able to use the 2nd one. On the fly DPI changing is a nice feature I thought I would use but I really don't care for it after trying it. Has great tracking and was joyed when I figured out I could turn off acceleration. Would recommend to just about anyone.

Cons: Some people may like a higher DPI mouse but I dont see the need.
Also I prefer fingertip grip mice, but this one still performs well.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mouse period

Pros: -Ever since late 2011 they switch the sensor in this mouse to a non angle snapping one.
-1000Hz
-3600DPI
literally overkill no body except people who want to brag need more than this

-Design
Fits insanely comfortable to your hand, all the buttons are pretty well placed, looks nice, and the finish is perfect

-Price
This mouse can do everything $100 mice can except, interchangeable weights/less buttons
not to mention you can usually find this Mouse for $30-$40 on a fairly regular basis.

-Cord
Pretty light weight and more than long enough to stretch across my desk with ease

Cons: -Cord
It's light weight enough that it CAN be easily damaged, mine hasn't though so not a problem
-Firmware
it's impossible to update, but that isn't an issue tbh

Other Thoughts: I've owned this mouse for 7 months, 0 issues

Some Credibility I have
-Played competitive Team Fortress 2, and CS:S
-Computer Science Major (I spend A LOT of time using computers, and learning about hardware)
-Computer Repair Technician (I've even repaired this mouse among others for people)

Also use this mouse with the Steel Series Qck+ mousepad

oh and just to make sure people see this, even though someone else posted this

"if you look at all the negative reviews of this mouse, they cite universally one problem: the dreaded intermittent USB disconnection.

This happens because the cord of this mouse is extremely light. This was a design choice to keep the cord's weight from moving the mouse after you let it go, which occurs frequently with other mice. Unfortunately, this light cord has a flimsy connection with the board in the g400's guts.

TO KEEP THIS PROBLEM FROM HAPPENING TO YOU:

1. Place the mouse wherever you're going to be using it, and plug it into your computer's USB port

2. pull the mouse down to the lowermost extremities of your mousepad / mouse surface. Now pull the mouse out another 6-8 inches out, and scotch tape the middle of the mouse cable to the underside of your desk

3. Enjoy having an awesome mouse for the next few years

The purpose of this fix is to greatly reduce tension in the cord, minimizing stress on aforementioned flimsy connection"

1 out of 5 eggsMouse died after 1 year

Pros: Outer design like MX518

Cons: After 1 year of use it started disconnecting and then reconnecting
It was where the cord meets the mouse body.

Other Thoughts: I contacted Logitech and they had me make a copy of my invoice,
take a picture of the mouse with the case number they gave me along with the identifying numbers for the mouse.
They approved the RMA and are sending me the newer version G400s, all at no cost to me.
This is was great Customer Service is.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Mouse

Pros: -Ergonomic design
-great performance
-perfect amount of buttons for me

Cons: -side buttons easy to press (my wife wasn't use to this so I had to disable them from going back/forward in browser)
-front button a bit of a stretch compared and easy to hit rear button

Other Thoughts: I bought this since my old logitech (Logitech 930495-0403) mouse didn't seem cool enough for my new computer. It still worked fine.
Comfortable grip and right amount of extra features are just wanted I wanted.

I've not really used the on-the-fly DPI changing since it kinda threw me off when I first tried in game. I'll need some practice with it to determine if it will be useful.

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech G400

Pros: Great build quality. Perfect for palm grip even with big hands. Picks up even the slightest movement.

Cons: The cord and wheel feel a bit cheap.

Other Thoughts: This is one tough mouse, I have had it for over a year, and it's barely showing any ware. All the buttons are functioning flawlessly even after more than 700 ingame hours (Mainly FPS, but also some Click-Heavy RTS's). As I said, the cord and wheel feel a bit flimsy, but are not showing any sign of age or damage.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat all around mouse

Pros: Price, performance.

Cons: The cord seems slightly flimsy.

Other Thoughts: I am using this mouse for my auto cad machine, the reason I trusted this would work for me is because I own a g9x that i game with. I looked at a few mice before deciding on this one Logitech has never let me down yet, as always newegg is awesome they got it shipped to me in 2 days totally blows me away how they over perform as a company time and time again.
