1 out of 5 eggsM325 is awful

Pros: You can replace it with something else

Cons: The M325 scroll wheel is terrible. It is way too sensitive. It makes the mouse uncontrollable and unusable.

Other Thoughts: I phoned Logitech and complained and the lady said "no problem", they would give me a refund and send a prepaid shipping box to return it. Feeling better about Logitech, I went out and bought another Logitech mouse to replace it: the M317 which is about the same mouse with a normal scroll wheel. This one is acceptable so long as you don't use the Logitech Setpoint software.
(The M325 is unacceptable whether you use Setpoint or not - it just becomes more unacceptable with Setpoint.
The problems with Setpoint are a whole new topic.)
But then I got an email back from Logitech saying they could not give me a refund on the M325 because I bought it on the internet, never mind it was new in the box.
So I offered the M325 as a free gift to a couple of people but nobody wanted it so I threw it in the trash.
In future I will avoid all Logitech products. Their software engineering, hardware engineering, and customer service departments have all become detached from reality.

1 out of 5 eggsScroll wheel too sensitive

Pros: Good form factor and size.

Cons: Scroll wheel is terrible.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse to replace my logitech m305, for which I lost the receiver. Unfortunately, I cannot get used to the supposed benefit of micro-precise scrolling. The wheel offers me almost no resistance when scrolling, making me feel as though my finger is resting on a marble sitting on a sheet of ice. My muscles get tired just trying to keep my finger in one place. Middle-clicking on links becomes difficult, because my finger might move slightly as I'm pressing down, and all of a sudden I have scrolled above or below the link I wanted to middle-click. At the end of a day of using this mouse, I feel extremely irritated, as though I have been forced to walk around all day with a pebble in my shoe. Using this mouse will make you appreciate the value of having fewer notches in your scroll wheel.
