1 out of 5 eggsLogitech C110

This review is from: Logitech C110 USB 1.1 port (2.0 recommended) WebCam

Pros: None

Cons: This is a refurbished item. I tried to put it on different computers (different operating systmems, WIN XP, WIN VISTA, WIN 7). It never worked, worst experience ever. Don't buy. Waste of your money!

Other Thoughts: I won't buy any refurbished item anymore.

4 out of 5 eggsGoodWebcam

This review is from: Logitech C110 USB 1.1 port (2.0 recommended) WebCam

Pros: Works as expected. Installed itself seamlessly, no driver boondoggles. Camera quality is not the best, but hey, it was 23 bucks and it works for Skype just fine.

Cons: Mounting bracket seems a tad weird. I think they tried to go for something that could be used for either a mount or a prop. Not a huge deal though.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing value.

This review is from: Logitech C110 USB 1.1 port (2.0 recommended) WebCam

Pros: Good picture quality for the price, great compatibility and low resources required. The mic works incredibly well.

Cons: A somewhat short cord, only an issue if your computer is far away.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how high connedsumer was, but it worked just fine on the Sempron 1300 @1.3ghz, the Athlon 1100 @1.1ghz (Both older sockets), then an Athlon 290 single core @2.19ghz, a Pentium III @1.0ghz, a Pentium III @750mhz, and finally my machine with an Athlon II x4 640 @3.0ghz with no issues.

No, I didn't buy 6 of these, but I bought 3 and moved them around as I was experimenting with overclocking components of each PC.

1 out of 5 eggsuseless with AMD processor

This review is from: Logitech C110 USB 1.1 port (2.0 recommended) WebCam

Pros: clips nicely onto monitor

Cons: short cord; at first sign of picture and motion consistently freezes and crashes XP computer with AMD Sempron 3100 processor. Computer exceeds minimum requirements (1.8 GHz, not 1.6, etc.). Reboot is only option; no task manager, no mouse, no keyboard input. Known issue with Logitech webcams online. These are for Intel Pentiums only, maybe high power Athlon.

Other Thoughts: Tried without bloatware, tried without Logitech drivers (generic XP plug and play drivers). Tried older version of Skype, no luck, tried other programs (Morae, Movie Maker), no luck, spent an hour with Logitech phone support, no luck, not defective--works fine on Mac with Windows Parallels.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

This review is from: Logitech C110 USB 1.1 port (2.0 recommended) WebCam

Pros: Very inexpensive. However, for the price you get a Web Cam with a good picture and good audio. We tried it out on Skype and it really worked well!!

Cons: When you install this Web Cam, you have to download the Software from the Logitech Site. It Is Very Easy. The only reason I call this a Con is because I like having the Software in the packaging. I made a Backup Copy on a CD-R. Maybe this isn't such a Con after all.

Other Thoughts: I still give this Web Cam Five Eggs because it if truly a good bang for your buck! One other thought that I have is "New Eggs Packaging" ! When I got the Web Cam the Packaging was a soft envelope and the box the We Cam was in was crushed. I was concerned. The Web Cam wasn't damaged but, I do thin New Egg should package this a little more substantial.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad!

This review is from: Logitech C110 USB 1.1 port (2.0 recommended) WebCam

Pros: Plug and play - No hassle
Does what it's meant to do
Cost efficient
Microphone isn't bad

Cons: Only a slight video lag.
A bit grainy.

Other Thoughts: The 1.3 MP isn't much to be too psyched about, but for only $20 and not being a hassle I'd buy it twice.
