1 out of 5 eggsWas OK, when it worked

Pros: Was recognized and installed fine without installing the Logitech software. Had decent picture and microphone.

Cons: This thing died a few days in. At first it started showing up as an 'unknown device' in device manager, now it is not recognized at all by any PC I have tried.

Other Thoughts: ehh. probably just a bad unit, but Newegg won't take it back and Logitech is proving to be difficult to work with for a warranty replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat picture quality, lousy audio.

Pros: The video quality is great, and it's easy to set up and use.

Cons: The mic distorts very easily, basically when just talking at more than a whisper.

1 out of 5 eggsGood hardware, bad software

Pros: + High-quality HD webcam.
+ Easy hardware installation.
+ 1080p video recording and video calling through Skype.
+ H.264 compression.
+ 15 MP photos.
+ 20-step autofocus.
+ Carl Zeiss optics.
+ Dual HD-quality stereo microphones.
+ Advanced auto light correction.
+ Video calling on HDTVs with HDMI connectors.

Cons: - Lousy software called LWS that has had a fatal error since 2010! and prevents many users from using their webcams. (The Logitech Engineers stated they don't know the reason for the error, though some users have fixed the issue after many hours and using different solutions.)
- Inconsistent product specs between retail box and Logitech website.
- Logitech website's Compare feature is completely broken and doesn't show all of a product's supported features.
- Not 60 FPS.
- Retired Logitech Vid HD still being marketed with the product.
- Short 2-year warranty.

Other Thoughts: It's embarrassing to say #1 selling webcams in the world on the retail box when Logitech has had a fatal error in their LWS software since 2010! that prevents most of their users from using their webcams and causing them much frustration and to return it for another brand.

5 out of 5 eggssatisfied

Pros: Bought this for a new computer build. My old C900 is now back on my old computer as back-up.
Excellent quality, Logitech did a good job of including a camera mount on this model. It took me 2 hours to make a mount for my c900. Software and drivers for the c920 are far more stable in WIN7 64 bit than for the C900.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsOne of the best USB webcams available

Pros: -Excellent picture quality
-Handles low light situations well
-When configured right, provides very nice, smooth, 30fps recording
-Microphone is fairly solid

Cons: -Needs tweaking to get the best performance out of it
-Mount has vertical tilt but not horizontal pan which can make framing your shot a pain
-Logitech's software is less than great

Other Thoughts: I upgraded to this from a Logitech C615 which I'd been using for several years. I principally use this camera for YouTube and live streaming content. I was blown away by the improvement it brought. The overall image quality and especially in low light is astounding with this unit. It's well worth the money for that alone. The enhancement it's brought to my videos has been fantastic.

My main gripes with it is that the driver default configuration will provide the best low light compensation but also result in a poor frame rate. You have to tweak several settings if you want to get proper 30fps recording out of it. When you do, it's solid though. Logitech's software continues to be a letdown. The UI is not very good and the software has terrible support for external mics. When recording off my professional Rode Podcaster mic through their software, it sounds very low quality. When I use an external application, it sounds great. The C615 also had full pan/tilt functionality but for some inexplicable reason, they removed the pan ability from the C920. If you want to frame things differently, this can be frustrating but once again, it's fine when you get it setup the way you want.

Overall, this is one of the best quality USB webcams I've ever seen and ifs great bang for the buck.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Webcam for Skype or streaming

Pros: 1080p resolution
30 fps
Face tracking
Looks sleek
Decent microphone

Cons: Drivers can be a little wacky
USB cord is a little short

Other Thoughts: Have owned this webcam for a couple years now and have loved it. It has been GREAT for streaming on Twitch and I'm sure friends have enjoyed the video quality on Skype!
