3 out of 5 eggsMouse 1/2 buttons suck!

Pros: - Lots of buttons
- Cool colors
- Logitech

Cons: - Mouse buttons 1/2 do not seem to click well
- Most of the buttons do not work for many games
- The button placement is weird for mouse buttons 1 and 2.

Other Thoughts: I have to use a bumper button instead inplace of my mouse button 2, because the form of the mouse is very odd...

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome deal

Pros: -Got it for $40 on sale!!!
-G-buttons are tilted slightly so you can actually tell which one you're touching. Adequate spacing too.
-Cool customizable lighting on the g-buttons
-Long braided cord
-Great logitech software
-Just an overall great mouse-feel...

Cons: Can't think of any. The 3rd shift-button is a little odd at first but you get used to it quickly.

Other Thoughts: I write small apps in auto-it to make my job easier and this is great because I can program 24 macros into this thing.

For $40, this is a screamin' deal. For 80, you may want to compare options. This deal happened on the right day at the right time so I grabbed it.

3 out of 5 eggsAwesome mouse...if you get one that was manufactued after October 2012

Pros: Great mouse everything you would hope for with a lot of buttons and customizable.

Cons: Huge issue with those that where manufactured before October 2012. There are mouse curser randomly jumping issues as well as double click and click detection issues with the firmware. Mouses after October 2012 have the ability to update...but before that are locked and thus you are stuck with a buggy mouse.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - An abundance of buttons
- The thumb buttons are a nice rubbery material, so you can rest your thumb against the keys without accidentally pressing them
- The thumb buttons are slanted to create two groups of 2X3 grids, so you can easily find your orientation without looking at the keys
- Backlit thumb buttons with configurable colors
- Highly customizable
- High DPI, very accurate

Cons: - Uncomfortable(relatively), too short (-1 star)
- No Linux support, you'll need windows to upgrade firmware and program onboard memory (-0.5 star)

Other Thoughts: I own the logitech G400/G500 and now this G600. The G600 is smaller than the other two: width-wise it's comparable, but length-wise the G600 is shorter, cutoff abrubtly at the tail end so you can't rest your wrist on the mouse. That makes it far less comfortable to use than the G500. I wish they'd just reused the G500 design and add the 12 thumb buttons.

All in all, I would only recommend this mouse if you are heavily into WoW-like MMO and Starcraft-like RTS. No other games/tasks needs the extra keys on the mouse, and even with MMO/RTS, it's probably only useful if you're playing competitively agains other humans. For all other tasks the G500(s) remains a far superior general purpose mouse for everyday use.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst use Review

Pros: Form Factor to Natural Hand rest position

Software's functionality and ease of use on Windows 7.

Color and design are brilliant.

Smooth and very percise control.

durability of usb cable and mouse as a whole product.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: I would like to share my story so far, if you do not mind.I played Call of duty black ops 2 yesterday after getting the G400 from mail delivery. I bought it off of Newegg. That mouse changed they way I play games. It is so easy to peek around corners now. Before the mouse I never peeked around corners. This handicap always left my player open for kills, i kept scratching my head as to why I was always getting owned. I kept thinking and knew i was a great gamer. I was so frustrated with my kd ration.. The "Q" and "E" button limited my player movement and made the handling of my keyboard feeling weird. Usually my kill death during matches were 25-11kd highest was 45-30kd, I beat that kd with 77-9kd. I was so excited for this smart purchase. I can not wait until my G430 head set arrives today and when I purchase my G13 gaming Keyboard and G19s keyboard to compliment the mouse. So far I have seen nothing but good for this short period of time. Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to read this. I appreciate it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse, Maybe too man Buttons

Pros: Good feel in the hand. The 12-button layout is pretty easy to feel the key you are looking for. I really like how you can program the keys to be specific to the location of the pointer on the screen, so you can have buttons open programs, but then function as a different task in a different program, all on the fly. I can open Outlook, but then copy paste with the same key in Autocad.

Cons: I bought this mainly for use at work. I am an architect and thought it would help with Autocad. I find that I really do not use all the buttons as I thought I would. I think if I used it all day, everyday, I may get more instinctive about pushing the buttons. It takes a bit of thought to remember all the keys after programming it.

Other Thoughts: My work computer is over 10 years old, and runs XP. I didn't have any issues running the software or using the mouse.

2 out of 5 eggsMost uncomfortable mouse EVER.

Pros: The customization of the mouse is pretty cool, you can map keystrokes and the like to anywhere on the mouse you want. The mouse has the capability to do high speed, but I've never felt the need to really. And from the many times I've beaten on the thing...I guess its pretty durable.

Cons: This mouse is mad uncomfortable for gaming. My hand is sort of cramping up while typing this. If the design were more comfortable this would easily be at least a 4 egg mouse, maybe even 5, but I digress.

Other Thoughts: This mouse is pretty good for MMOs when I played them, just be sure to test the grip out if you can, cause its really uncomfortable for me, may not be for you.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Many buttons

Cons: The mouse has problems. It will randomly send bad input to the computer forcing your camera to jump up in games and get you killed.

The side buttons also get stuck in the key-down mode, requiring it to be pressed again to make it stop.

Logitech has a firmware update tool that is supposed to fix these problems but my mouse is too old for it to work on it. Bad Times.

Other Thoughts: I can't use the mouse if it is constantly getting me killed.

5 out of 5 eggs2 years later, still works like the day I got it

Pros: 20 buttons, 19 of which are programmable, separate dpi profiles with color changing LED's for each profile. Software is easy to use. Large low-friction feet are great for high speed movements. Braided cable for extra stability in the wires.

Cons: Doesn't serve breakfast

Other Thoughts: I recommend storing profiles in the computer, instead of the mouse. That way you can turn off "acceleration" which causes some issues with the cursor snapping to random locations (also disable in control panel for best results)
