Set colors to pulse on and off, or configure them to continuously change. You can also assign the G-Shift function to a button on the G600 to double the functionality of the other buttons on the mouse – giving you massive configuration power and flexibility. For precision targeting or sniping, assign a DPI Shift button to quickly change the DPI value. When you let go, you’re back to the standard value. Set up to five DPI levels per profile.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The 12 buttons on the side of the mouse are easy to use once you get used to them. The curvature of the buttons, along with ridges on the two buttons in the center make it easy to find the button you're looking for. These buttons alone grant excellent control in MMO games.

The 12 buttons are backlit, with options in the included software to control color and lighting effects.

Cons: none so far

1 out of 5 eggsBuggy Mouse

Pros: Lots of versatility, lots of buttons to configure, for normal games that do not involve intense clicking it should work fine. If it involves rapid fire clicking this mouse is not for you.

Cons: Mouse is really buggy. I bought this mouse so I could play league of legends and have some hotkeys to play with to make things easier. After playing a little while I realize that there is a bug with this mouse. Everyone few minutes or so it would randomly put by cursor somewhere else on the screen. You can imagine how difficult it is to play when you are trying to kill another player and all of a sudden your mouse is not on them and you miss your skillshot or all of a sudden you are clicking and you clicked on your minimap and you don't know where you are. I have tried to use they buggy-mouse script from autohotkeys to try and help but it still doesn't work.

The other part of this is that the mouse is pretty big, for my hands it's pretty big. It also has a third mouse button on the side that I'm not totally use to.

Lastly, there are too many buttons on the side (12 buttons) that it makes it pretty hard to navigate at times. This might take some getting used to but I feel like if they lowered the number of buttons and made it bigger it would be better. The buttons on the side are pretty small as well so if you have large hands I cannot imagine what you would do.

Other Thoughts: For normal games this mouse is fine, for games that involve rapid clicking get something else. I should have done more research on this mouse before buying it.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely in love

Pros: Never thought I would use all 20 buttons (more if G-Shift button is used) but I somehow have found a way to make every button useful.
The mouse is much bigger than expected, feeling taller than any other mouse I have used in the past and feeling awkward on the palms, but after having it for some time I don't even notice the difference. Looking at the 16 buttons on the side is intimidating and I imagined that I would press the wrong buttons frequently, but the design and layout has kept this to a minimum. I use the G-Shift button pretty frequently and so far it has yet to not to register any clicks or click on it's own.
The Logitec software that comes with the mouse is pretty handy and makes modifying any mouse funtions easy as clicking what button to edit and pressing what key or combination of keys is registered (ie: button 11 when pressed can be ctrl+f1, 12 is ctrl+f2 and so on and so forth) and allows you to edit the 3 profiles stored on the mouse easily. The 3 profiles switch seamlessly with the press of a button and takes effect immediately, meaning there is a different layout for any scenario...or at least 3 of them...

Cons: Every now and then the mouse would randomly shoot toward the top of the screen when I was playing games, but after moving it to a new computer it has yet to do so. Something to keep an eye out for, but can't complain since it's stopped.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a great mouse for the price and even better when comboed with the Logitec G240 mousepad ($30 for me!) and I have yet to have any complaints in the few months I've had it. I say give it a shot, I don't think you'll be dissapointed

3 out of 5 eggsFirmware Seems OK

Pros: Lots of programmable buttons
Lots of colors

Cons: It is kind of big, and I am adjusting to it as it is a little uncomfortable. So the jury is still out if this will be a long term replacement for me.

Other Thoughts: I ordered as part of the shell shocker and l received one with the sticker 910-002871. I ran the 77.02.17 firmware upgrade and it told me the mouse was up to date. I have not noticed any lag issues with mine.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware.

Pros: Pretty colors, multitude of buttons.

Cons: For a shell shocker, I took a chance. This mouse is NOT model 910-002871, this is actually a nearly 4 year old 810-002851. The firmware on this model CAN NOT be updated to repair the sensor lag issue. Used Newegg chat to discuss an RMA/exchange but wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get the same restickered garbage. Was informed that the correct item was shipped and that if I wanted to exchange it, it would be for the same restickered trash. Chat agent was extremely helpful and offered to RMA.

Other Thoughts: As another reviewer pointed out, it does appear that Newegg was clearing out older stock. For the price I paid, this is an okay backup mouse for when I inevitably smash my Naga.

5 out of 5 eggsTrue Mice

Pros: All you can ask for in a gaming mouse. I like the feel, the weight, the design, the price ($40 give/take), the button placement, portability, colors; almost everything!

Cons: Not wireless, :o/ no extra Teflon pads, no weight adjustments; yeah, like those are deal breakers ;oP I'm just saying. I have more than 3 of these.

Other Thoughts: I use it for work; I smoke everybody in productivity.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best one in the price range

Pros: • A lot of customization options!
• Easy to use
• Nice grip

Cons: • No mouse action on macro options, only if you use Lua Script, not a big deal at all!

Other Thoughts: I bought this one in Shell Shocker, so i paid US$ 29.99, for a GOOD MOUSE + MOUSE PAD, i think this is a great price!

2 out of 5 eggsactually older model 810-002851

Pros: irrelevant

Cons: While this is advertised as part number 910-002871, and that's how the box was labelled, what was actually inside the box was a G600 with part number 810-002851. I discovered this when I attempted to apply the latest firmware for the G600 and received the message "Firmware version 77.02.12 found. This version does not support firmware update."

Googling the message led me to a 23 page thread at Logitech's web site. In summary, the firmware update is needed to address lag issues caused by the sensor (which I observed). According to Logitech, any mouse shipped after 10/2012 should be able to able to accept firmware updates.

Other Thoughts: Even returning the mouse proved difficult. The RMA was initially rejected because the part number on the mouse did not match the part number on the box, which is precisely why the mouse was being returned. (FWIW, the part number on the box, 910-002871, was pasted over an older part number.)

This mouse was purchased as a Shell Shocker. Looks like Logitech was dumping old inventory.
