3 out of 5 eggsNot durable, but good enough

Pros: Pretty good mouse while it lasts. Love the ability to work on glass.

Cons: Gone through several of them -- the left-click button starts double-clicking when you single-click. The "fixes" you can see on YouTube don't work, or only work for a short while, then it's back to acting up.

Other Thoughts: Logitech support agreed to send a replacement this time, didn't hassle me about it, didn't make me send the bad one back first. (Call them on the phone -- the web support page didn't work.) I actually think I will keep buying them -- on balance, it's worth it even if it only lasts a year. This last one went bad in under 6 months, and it belongs to the Boss. She said "just get me another one" though, and she's the one paying the bills, so OK!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent on the move mouse solution

Pros: Good feel and weight, very easy to set up quickly, very good quality for a small mobile mouse. I needed a nicer mouse to use with my laptop, since my work requires me to move around a lot, and this mouse was perfect. Nice carrying case.

Cons: None I can think of

Other Thoughts: Maybe a little small for my hands but what do you expect from a mouse whose focus is mobility?

3 out of 5 eggsUndecided - not even a year yet

Pros: Darkfield Technology. This really is something nice. It works on pretty much any surface. Extra buttons that can be configured anyway you want with Setpoint.

Cons: Just like many other have said, the right and/or left click buttons will eventually go out. Right now mine is double clicking and it has only been about half a year.
The mouse comes with a receiver capable of unifying up to 6 items which would be nice if it didn't randomly cycle power to the mouse at the worst moments, which is my major complaint. During game play I'll lose control briefly and look down at the mouse and the green LED is illuminated which indicates it just cycled power. This happens a LOT.
The hyper scrolling is not as advantageous as it is unpredictable and times will just decide it wants to go nuts.
Others have said sometimes it seems to have a mind of its own and just starts moving, but I've only seen this a couple times. Still...
Battery life is horrible. 2 AA batteries last not even a month, but more like 2 weeks. However, I am a gamer so that tends to play a part, but all other wireless mice I've had lasted longer. I know why it does this, but regardless, it does.

Other Thoughts: I'm still undecided whether or not I'm going to replace it with another because of the Darkfield Technology it uses. I don't use it on a desk. I use it mostly on the arm of a chair, but I take it out on the road a lot and it basically gets used on all kinds of surfaces. Laser doesn't work on half the surfaces I try to use it on, and optical mice are limited in selection these days.
So I'm still deciding but likely I will not buy another.

1 out of 5 eggsSave Your Money, DO NOT BUY

Pros: Stylish, heavy and that's about it

Cons: Didn't get to play a lot of games with it cause it partly died and then it decides to go crazy by itself. I've owned it for almost a year, but wheel has been dead for about 5 months, and this thing every so often gets possessed! Mouse starts moving by itself (on screen - lol) and the buttons won't respond, and it makes it seem like the computer is lagging when it is not, and it does that until i turn it off or hit/tap it on the desk, out of frustration. Dark Field is a joke...

Other Thoughts: This is my second MX Mouse and both of them didn't last a year!

3 out of 5 eggslogitech going down hill

Pros: 5 buttons, good handle, really easy surf. newegg earn 5 stats and this product have 1.

Cons: bought 2 from local store, right click buttons all failed in 4 months like others mentioned here made them useless. i had a M505 failed in 1 year for just sometimes travel use.

Other Thoughts: i try to like logitech product but they looks no more take care of quality like before. so sad.

3 out of 5 eggsAfter further review - 3 years later

Pros: 5 buttons.
Has held up well to daily road-warrior use, except...

Cons: Left button has failed, admittedly after three years, but still.

Other Thoughts: I'm buying another one after three years because I like the design and I really need the 5 buttons now. I hope they've improved the switches they use - seems like they should last longer than three years.

2 out of 5 eggswould be great if it lasted > 1yr

Pros: -feels nice and heavy.
-uses longer lasting AA battery live vs. previous generation that used AAA.
-works on many surfaces.

Cons: -Cheap quality mouse buttons. Left mouse button begins to fail and double click on you unexpectedly to make the mouse useless. I've owned two so far and both have lasted < 1yr each.

Other Thoughts: I've been a longtime Logitech user; it's now time to look at a different vendor.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed after about 5 months

Pros: Very precise, works on many surfaces that other mouses fail on, and the mouse wheel has two settings, one of which makes it spin freely. Battery life seemed reasonable.

Cons: Failed after less than 6 months. Suddenly, the mouse started double-clicking, and it became useless to me.

Other Thoughts: This is the first bad mouse I've ever gotten from Logitech. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. My replacement is also a Logitech mouse, but a different model where the wheel won't spin. If it doesn't last, then it will be the last Logitech product I'll ever buy.

1 out of 5 eggsGoodbye Logitech

Pros: Works on glass surface.

Cons: This mouse eats batteries. Brand new Duracell batteries... drained in 6 weeks. It needs two AA batteries.

Even worse is Logitech reselling these at marked down price to their loyal customers. That is worse than putting out a bad product, and that is borderline swindling in my book. So, I'm saying GOODBYE to Logitech.

3 out of 5 eggsA great mouse with very limited wireless range

Pros: This is a great mouse. It works on any surface.

Cons: The wireless range is very limited. It works very reliably within three feet. A cord goes further, so budget for a USB extender cable to place the receiver next to your mousing real estate.
